Quietly observant, Kiran is first to smile but last to comment in a group conversation.


If you catch him one on one, he can be fairly talkative- especially if you mention light, shadow, candles, lanterns, or any of his other liked topics. He's very quick to jump to conclusions, and he acts strongly upon his opinions of people. If he doesn't like you, you're going to know... just like if he likes you, you will know it. He enjoys going out of his way to help people, especially his family and friends, but will even help strangers were possible. Laughter is a sound he strives to be the cause of, though in truth he is not very good at being 'funny' though he is often deemed 'silly' by his mother.


Biography


Kiran's first memory was of light... a small, beautifully flickering light that was near enough to see but just out of reach. He would reached out for it, immediately seeing the soft shadows that moved when he moved, or when the light flickered. His first words would end up being mama and dada, like usual, but the first word he'd ever learn how to spell properly was candle. When they were too busy to watch him, Kiran's family supplied him with the option to join them in their work or to spend time practicing his writing. It depended on his mood on what his choice would be, for he greatly enjoyed writing, along with working alongside his parents. Though he had no where near the talent they possessed, coloring the dye, adding scents to the very special candles, twisting the wires and making the glass... he enjoyed watching them work and seeing the products they produced.


He was greatly disappointed when the job he pulled was Messenger... though he's been learning how to cope. He works hard for the Mayor, and making sure that everything runs as it should in the city. The lack of food and shortage of electricity are beginning to take their tolls on him, as well- he fears for the lives of all those who dwell in Core City.

Snarky, Reckless, and rather impulsive, Felix has one of the less liked personality types of the city. He has a habit of making belongings disappear from owner's wrists and purses, and into his pockets. He doesn't even need them to be distracted by something- he is very good at being the distraction. He has a bit of charm, and believes he knows how to be flirtatious, enjoying when he gets women to fall for him... but he doesn't seem to actually care about people after he's gotten what he's wanted. He's very much the type to look out for number one... but perhaps that will change if he meets the right person...





BIO


Felix grew up without a mother. Because sometimes that happens. He doesn't know when or how she died... only that she had him, and that Felix actually has no memories of her. As far as Felix is concerned it's always been him and his dad anyway. They got along pretty well, his father teaching him the tricks of the trade. Not that Felix really cared about Electric stuff or the workings of the city, but it made his father happy to talk about it so he listened. This continued to go spectacularly for the two of them, even after Felix has gone through Chosen day and ended up with his lame job. He does not like plants. He'd rather burn them. But then, he likes eating... not veggies, but sometimes that's all there is. So he hasn't set fire to the fields. Yet. But he really, really wants to.


Felix and his father were continuing to live a fairly decent life. Not amazing, by Core City standards, but survivable. And Timothy and Felix would often go out and explore new corners of the city together (where do you think Felix got his reckless, impulsive streak from?) On one such planned outing, Felix had headed home after work to wait for his father. They were going to meet up and explore a new corner of the cage, when Timothy didn't go home. Felix continued to wait... he waited until the lamps went out, and continued to wait until they came back on (falling asleep every now and then)... finally, he received word that his father had died in a work related accident. They didn't even tell him what happened. Only that something had happened... he had never felt so much pain in his life. And he never wants to feel that kind of pain again. Without his father around, Felix is beginning to look for a new way out.. some kind of escape from the city. He's done being locked up and wants to test his wings in the real world, radiation or no radiation.
