Conversation size limits?

It says that apparently no more than five people can be added to a conversation. My guess is this to limit spamming. I think this is reasonable but at the same time I don't think it's all that outrageous to want to contact a dozen or so people in order to promote a roleplay idea. Is there any chance at the limit being bumped up a bit.

I'm not a huge fan of mass PMing people but I did feel a little strange this morning sending out two messages for a simple heads up on a roleplay idea I wanted share with people that I thought might be interested and I don't think the act was all that much of a nuisance.

VIPs have unlimited invites. Since VIP is now free (in a sense), I don't see a reason to increase the general population as so far a few people have been banned for "mass spamming" other websites in groups of 5. Since this is a hassle for them & I am alerted about the suspicious URLs, the damage is done at 5 people.

Not saying VIPs can't spam. I do have a hard time believing many folks will obtain VIP status to spam & only have the spam message removed within seconds by me.

Okay, seems fair. I do plan on obtaining VIP again in the future, I suppose for the time being I will have to work with what is available.

My suggestion for large scale projects is less the private conversation & more the private group. You can invite everyone. If it's private it's only visible to the group participants (& staff!). It's more user friendly & acts more like a forum for better organizational content.

A group could be handy. Even though I simply pointed to a public discussion I am now starting to deal with parallel private conversations. It's good to know that we have options out there. Thanks, AcE.

If you have a VIP friend they can always start a convo for you & leave. Hint hint =P
