Meh, I only find bottomless pits to be a problem. I've rarely ever died due to running out of health. Then again, I play so, so many hard platformers.

Every boss has a basic pattern and a way to tell what the next attack will be. Enjoy Propeller Knight, or Polar Knight. They're the cheap ones as they use instant kill death traps.
