Burke grew up in an excellent family. He was an only child, so he got all the attention he wanted. In a way, he was completely spoiled as much as his parents' finances would allow. At one point, Conner decided it'd be a good idea to go about life doing what he felt like doing. There was no disciplinary action made except a sigh of "...Conner,", as they didn't want to upset their beloved child. In addition, Burke had realized if he was affectionate towards his parents, they seemed to not even notice he had done something wrong, so it
was a way to completely evade the conflict.
Once he discovered this was possible, he used it to his advantage. He'd never do his homework, fight people he didn't like, curse at teachers, catcall girls in the hallway, and had even been caught vaping in the bathroom previously (this is not his first time in detention). Still, all the 'how was your day?'s and 'I love you's seemed to pay the rest off and he was never confronted. It seemed as if he had his parents wrapped around his finger...which isn't wrong. In order to keep him in line, the coach of the football team, which happened to be his chemistry teacher, had recruited him for the team as a sense of motivation to be better, also to get him a chance for a college athletic scholarship. Since that time, he picked up multiple sports and had ultimately set school records for touchdowns, goals, shutouts, etc.
How You Got Detention-
Burke had decided to pull the fire alarm to get out of a test and his math class. It had worked, but here he is.
