Concerns since the update - Error 500

So, I've been on this site for about a year now I think... maybe more. And the only issues I've ever had was when my internet was down. (Nothing you can do about that, right?) That is the main reason why I've kept coming back, as when most other RP sites went down, this one was still up. But lately, ever since the update to the new format, I've been getting this error 500 almost like clockwork every 30 to 40 minutes. At first it only appeared for about 1/2 a minute and didn't appear again for a few hours. But now it's showing up multiple times an hour... for a few minutes at a time. This is a serious issue with me, as it causes me to loose posts.


Now then, as I prefer fixing issues myself before asking a question like this, I did a quick google/bing search of the error I was getting... turns out it's a server error, that I shouldn't even be seeing. (I should be getting a 4xx error.) So, being stumped as to what I should do... I come here.


What exactly is 'Error 500' reporting to me, and what can I do to avoid it?

The 500 errors are symptomatic of the work that we are doing in the back end while we continue with all the steps necessary to successfully finalize the update. Thank you for your patience! The errors and slow loading times will resolve themselves as soon as we get everything settled.
