Teno Wycleff
Fire Princess

The day was as bright and sunny as could be expected in the Fire Kingdom. The air passed lazily through the tall grasses and smelled sweetly of growing spices from the fields. Teno Wycleff had sneaked away from home again. Home, of course, being the towering castle in the center of the city she was currently walking around. Of course, it was no mystery to the people who was wandering around the market and admiring what people had for sale. The Fire Princess was well known in the capital city, not just as the princess nor her hailed artwork, but more simply because she was often there among the people. She smiled and waved and played with the children, and she knew as many names as she could remember.

So there she was again today, walking through the market and seeing what there was to see. She hoped that it wasn't too obvious to the people around her that she was trying to hide from her advisors and ladies in waiting. There were meetings today with wedding planners, priests of the Gilded Orb and all kinds of people who wanted to be the one to bake the cake or make her veils. There were letters from dignitaries of all the kingdoms to read. These were all things she was avoiding and praying no one would catch her.

She made her way into a squat bakery and purchased some pastries as her breakfast. As she settled down to sit outside of the bakery and eat, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself. Her brother would scold her for sure if he could see her right now. She never used to be the kind of princess to shirk responsibility, but the thought of this dreaded marriage was more than she could handle. It was these times, away from the castle, where she could pretend she was just an ordinary commoner girl from the Fire Kingdom. People passed by and smiled at her. She fed some of her food to the birds and just allowed herself this brief moment of calm, for she didn't know how long it was to last.

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

Kale sat in his office pouring over paperwork. There was always paperwork that had to be done. He had official work that had to be done for the Water Domain under his name as his father had decided to give him more power over the kingdom. There was, on top of that, personal letters he had to write for his upcoming wedding. Then there were his secret letters. Those letters were written on different paper and with different ink and were sent by messenger birds to very specific allies within the Water Domain and Fire Kingdom. They discussed treacherous plans to stop the weddings, or at least halt them. They could not be seen by the wrong people. His hand was cramping and his eyes and back were hurting from the hours he had spent in the cramped office.

His office was just a small room adjacent to the throne room. At one time it had served as a servants quarters, but had been converted into a working space for Kale. Since it was right next to the throne room, he could be summoned into the court to do business periodically throughout the day. There was a large window that opened up to look out over the castle grounds, down to the docks and out over the ocean. Tall ships stood proud and waiting for their next crew. Kale longed to be on one of them.

The wedding was a month away, and yet there was still much work to do. He hadn't even met this "wife-to-be" or his nor the future husband of his little sister. There was a meeting between the four kingdoms in the works, but it continued to be pushed and moved. He was unsure if he'd ever end up meeting his wife before the shameless woman would be living in his house. His first impression of her was not flattering and it made him boil with anger to think about it. Rain began to softly patter outside his window. Whether it was a storm he brought or natural one was beginning to be harder to tell. He sighed, ignoring the rain, and returned to his work hoping to not be bothered by trivial court politics until his paperwork was finished.

Duana
Interacting: Penny
Location: Penelope's bedroom
We enter the massive room of the Princess of The Dark Realm, the princess laid in her bed and hidden beneath a massive duvet, but she sadly won't be the focus of this little chapter here, no we shall divert our attention towards a small basket beside the bed, in said basket was her ever present Humonculi: Duana (The Little Dark One)

Who much like its princess was resting its eyes, but we won't be witness to its sleeping form for long, no, for at this exact moment the sun reached its peak in the dark realm and the little homunculus was up and about like nobodies business.

It looks towards the clock that hung above their princess' chamber door and on it stood 5:59 In the morning. to us, this would seem like way too early. But for Duana, this was the exact time it went about awakening its princess from her slumber. It quickly made its bed then raced to Penny's pillow and began poking her sixty times in a second

KAI BAYMOON
Water Princess

nagi-miuna-32.jpg

Kai scurried out of the palace kitchen, leaving behind a cacophony of pans falling, chefs yelling, and worst of all the sound of her mother’s disappointment. “Sorry sorry sorry!!” she yelled behind her as she worked her way through the crowded halls toward Kale’s study. In her hands she held a large box full of pieces of cake she’d stolen from the large decorated ones that had arrived from all the bakeries that morning. The weddings were getting close and she had been summoned to the dining room to just look at the cake designs, well where’s the fun in that? Of course taste was just as important, so before she was supposed to report to the dining room, Kai snuck into the kitchen to steal some pieces. Unfortunately, she didn’t plan on getting caught by her mother and well causing the demise of one of the cakes by bumping into it, which with her luck caused even more destruction and chaos for the chefs.

Kai had finally made it to Kale’s study without causing too much more trouble. She caught her breath and cautiously opened the door. Peaking in, she saw Kale was nose deep in paperwork, Serenity was nowhere to be seen surprisingly. Definitely a rare moment for him, Kale had been spending a lot of time with her since, well since Katrina. Kai slipped into the study and gently closed the door behind her, trying not to surprise him too much. She could tell something was wrong from the rain outside the window, not sure if it was a storm of his creation or her mothers, Kai figured offering him to share in her spoils wouldn't hurt. “Hey aren’t you due for a break?” She opened the box and presented the haphazardly cut pieces of cake to him before setting them down on top of his papers. “What do they have you doing today? More policy work?” She plopped into the only other chair in the room and began taking pieces from the box to eat.

Penelope:Dark Princess.

Penelope was walking through the concentrated town centre of her kingdom just enjoying the fog filled air but soon a hush came over the large crowd as all eyes turned to Penelope as the large crowd began to murmur before the slowly began to chant "Traitor." The word struck Penelope straight in the heart and with each time the hoarders of people spoke the word got louder and louder until it was deafening but as she felt so,etching reapeatedly poking her cheek and out of the corner of her eye she saw her good friend Duana repeatedly poking at her as it spoke "Penny, its time to awaken." And as those words left its lips Penelope came out of nightmare and opened her eyes as she sat up in her bed rubbing her eyes as she looked at Duana "What time is it?" She asked her friend as she got its response as she gave it a frown before she pulled the covers her head "Its way to early to do anything." Penelope says as the warmth of the covers lulled her back into sleep for a few more minutes before Duana was once again poking at her cheek as Penelope pushed the covers from her small body "Okay, I'm getting up." Penelope says as she rubs her sleepy eyes placing her feet on the cold stone floor as she walked over to her wardrobe pulling off her pyjamas and throwing them into the laundry basket. Penelope's clothing was exactly colourful as once she opened the oak wardrobe door the only colour in sight was black with a few white shirts standing out here and there but for today Penelope pulled out a knee length black dress followed by her cloak which stopped at her waist as a full length cloak would of made the Princess look even shorter then she already was. She pulls on some black stockings and patent brogue lace up shoes.

"Come on." Penelope says picking up Duana and placing it on her shoulder as she headed for the exit to her room but before she left she picked up her case of sowing needle and placed them in the waistband of her stockings. Penelope walked down the stone corridor seeing only a few signs of life this early in the morning but Penelope subconsciously followed the smell of porridge as she ended up in the kitchen. In the recent weeks Penelope had been noticing a recent shift in the cooks habits as the food options became more catered to Penelope's tastes rather then the majority. Maybe the shift was due to the fact that in a month she would be leaving her home and heading for the fire kingdom where she would wed the fire prince. All these weddings were supposed to bring peace to the four kingdoms and for this cause Penelope would hold her tongue as go along with the plot but Penelope wandered if the other Princess' would sacrifice their want for the four kingdoms need.

"Good morning Your Highness." The cook greeted Penelope as she took the bowl of porridge from the cook as she took the honey pot off the shelf and put a large spoonful in her porridge. The 5'1 women sat on the wooden work bench eating her porridge slowly and silently as she let Duana so as it pleased as Penelope just watched it. Once Penelope was finished she placed the small bowl in a large trough of water as she exited the kitchen without saying a word. She walked through the winding corridors as to someone who did not know their away around the tower it would be almost impossible to navigate but Penelope knew this place like the back of her hand. Soon Penelope came to a large library space as she ignored the dozens of books and headed straight over to the sleek black grand piano which sat in the middle of the room. Penelope has left her work in progress on the stand overnight as she had finished the song she was working on but it only needed the occasional tweak here and there but other than that she was quite proud of her song. "Duana, Tell me if this sounds right." Penelope says as her fingers began to dance across the keys.

Kurt Wycleff
Fire Prince

A large shadow darkened the skies of the capital city, but a secound glance would reveal it was in the shape of a griffin. Citizens about their day suddenly stop to look up, some people were pointing and even saying "Dawnwing!" or "It's the prince!"

Sure enough, Dawnwing and the Prince were gliding over the city, followed by squadron of Pegasus mounted knights in a V formation. They glided across the city all the way to the main castle. Flying over the gate, guards looked up standing too in respect as the formation flew over the gates and landed near the stables.

Men were there to receive the prince and his escort, as Kurt jumped off Dawnwing and rubbed the griffin on the side. The griffin lifted it's wings and gave out a loud eagle like screech. The knights in Kurts formation all dismounted, bringing their mounts to the stables as a man in yellow came over to Kurt,a he had an assistant holding a stack of paper and the man himself was reading over a piece of paper.

"Otto, it's good to see you."
Kurt said with a smile as he stepped away from Dawnwing. Otto meanwhile didn't bother looking up, instead taking a paper from the stack in his own hands and handed it to Kurt, who kept his smile but sighed as he took it and started to scan.

"Sign there, there, and there." Otto said, still looking up, as he used his free hands to point in the designated areas. Otto's assistant came to the prince's side, offering pen and ink on-top of the pile of papers. Kurt just nodded as he took the pen and signed. "So, what am I signing my soul to this time?" Kurt asked with a chuckle.

"Just some finalization on the new gunnery school for the College of Engineers." Otto said "I've already read over it, it is all official. No tricks or loopholes." Otto then began to walk back to the castle, to which Kurt began to follow, followed by Otto's assistant.

"Well, those engineers are honest; they don't really like bureaucratic bulls***."
Kurt said signing off his name before handing it to Otto.

"That they are, but you know some of them, loves to siphon off more funds then they need."
who took it before handing another piece of paper to Kurt without looking at him. "Your having tea with the Minister of Housing about the new housing district down the East of the city, I've provided you with talking points that you need to cover."

Kurt nodded as he scanned through that paper, as the three walked down the long corridor of the castle, guards armed with great-swords were standing in intervals. Kurt then looked over to Otto and asked.
"How's wedding preparations going?"

"Words been sent out to all the cities and their foreigner dignitaries planners waiting to meet you today after tea."
Otto said as he flipped through another paper. "Jacob, I need the construction records for the East side of the city, go get that will ya."

"Yes sir." The assistant nodded, before taking a turn and left. Meanwhile, the prince and his adviser turned into Kurt's study, two great-sword wielding guards snapped to attention as the two past into the room. Kurt was the one to close the door, before turning around to see Otto climb a latter, looking for somthing on the book shelves.

"So, you got anything you need to talk about." Kurt said as he looked up to his friend.

"As a matter of fact." Otto said, not looking down. "The lads want to throw you a scholars party at "Irongut's".

"Bachelor party...at the dwarf place?" Kurt said rubbing his chin. "I remember we went there for one of the general's place...but I only remember walking in and waking up with a bucket on my head."

"Apparently you and the general were playing chicken with two wheel barrels the last time we were there." Otto said, before muttering. "least that's what the dwarf and wizard say..."

"Oh, well..." Kurt nodded to himself, as he walked over to his desk, which was filled papers, and sat down with a clank. Grabbing Karag Angkar from his belt, he place the hammer head on the ground next to him, before seeing Otto slide down with a book in under his arm. Walking over, he grabbed a paper off of one of the piles and placed it in front of the prince before pointing at the line. "Signature here for authorization to renew a trade agreement with the dwarven trade guild from the southern mountains, and you need to write a letter of gratitude to the Fairwood town for their shipment of timber."

Kurt nodded again as he grabbed a pen off his desk and signed the paper while Otto began walking about the room, reading and grabbing things, putting them back in new places, and just being all over the room.

"I've been meaning to ask Otto." Kurt said as he looked up from the papers.

"Yes?" Otto said while standing in front of another bookshelf.

"You haven't said a word about this wedding other then planning it." Kurt said, as he dipped his pen into ink and began on the letter. "I know how the lads feel, but uh... you haven't voiced your opinion."

"It wouldn't change your mind in the slightest." Otto said as he grabbed a book and began to flip through it.

"Maybe, I'd still like to here it."
Kurt said glancing up. "From a friend."

Otto stopped flipping, before sighing.
"From a political stand point it make sense, no more war, no more conflict, people are safe." Otto then turned his head to Kurt and looked at him. "But are you really happy about this arrangement?"

"If the people are safe, then I am happy." Kurt stated, but then he looked down. "The only thing I am unhappy about is seeing my sister carted off to their lands...if only their was a way for us to switch places, I'd go instead of her."

"You know what your father wants...no way around it... else he would've made the arrangement himself." Otto said going backs to his books with another sigh. "He wants you to run this nation."

"Yeah, well..." Kurt nodded slowly, before looking out to balcony door, which Otto had open to let in some air. "Speaking of, where's my dear sister?"

"I haven't seen her all day."
Otto replied as he placed the book back, glancing over to Kurt. "I suspect she's snuck out again. Shall I send someone to fetch her? She'll need to be present for both the wedding planning and the the meeting with the dignitaries."

"Give her some time, wouldn't be long till she needs to...leave."
Kurt said, he was now looking out at the sun, wondering what the future held.

Benjamin Raveran
Industral Son

In a distant land, the same sun was being viewed, by a young a man in a biplane. His name was Benjamin Raveran, the Flying Kid, and the Induestrial Son. He was flying a biplane built by himself, called "Freedom". Benjamin was flying high above the white clouds and watching the sun rise, the young man had his goggles down and his bandana up, as the wind was strong but the boy loved it.

But alas, a glance at his watch told him he must land. So he decended into the white clouds. On the other side, it was a grey and bleak land filled with smoke and the noise of a busy city. It was quite a grim side for outsiders, but for people born and bred there, it was home.

Benjamin descended into the city, easily avoiding the tall structures. Soon the airfield was in sight, and he began to descended further. Moments later, his the wheels of his plane touched the run way, taking the pressure as the plane itself finally landed. The young man took drove the plane around the runway, before finding his hanger and parking himself into it.

Shutting off the engine, lifted his goggles onto his head and lowered his red bandanna, as smile was on his face from the adrenaline.

"Whoo-ee, how's the new rudders holdin' up?" A loud voice boomed. Looking over, Benjamin's smile widen as he saw one of the airstrip workers limping over.

"Working like a charm, Mr. Penn."
Benjamin said as he pushed himself out of his seat. "Thanks for the tip."

"Aw, don't mention it, kid. And please, call me Oliver." the old man gave a smile as he put his hands on his hips and examined Freedom. "I've said it once, I'll say it again kid: She's lucky to have an owner like ya, cause you've kept her this well."

"Aw shucks." The boy smiled as he sat legs dangling over the side of the plane.

"Ya treat that girl ya gettin' hitched with the same, ya gunna get alot in return." The old man winked at the young man. "If ya know what I am sayin'."

Benjamin's face suddenly went all red. "Wait! What!?" He shouted as he held his hands out. "Nononono, I am not go-wah!" The induestrial son yelped as he fell backwards into the cockpit, which was followed by laugh from the old man. I took Benjamin a minute to get back up right, by then he was looking at the laughing old man. "Haha, ho, just pullin' ya leg laddy, no need to git all red on me." Benjamin sunk his head lower into the cock pit and squeaked. "I'm not ready for this."

The old man now stopped laughing, but he was still smiling. "Come over 'ere laddy." The old man said as he gestured over, to whitch the young man jumped out of the cockpit and slid down to the ground, before going over to the old man looking down, face still a bit red.

"Listen 'ere laddy, I wasen't wrong when I said what I said." THe old man said, placing his arm around the young man's shoulder. "You treat that women like you do this plane, and laddy, you'll do fine." The old man patted Benjamin on the shoulders as he said that. "If you weren't ready, then why did you agree to this then? Hm?"

"Well, uh, I mean it's peace isn't it? Isn't that what people want? Isn't it better for the people." The young man tapped his fingers together as he looked down. "I mean all I want is for the people to...be safe, I mean they have it hard already... dad says I will be doing that if I, you know...marry myself to some stranger."

"Aye, that's noble of ya." The old man said as he patted the young man again. Then the old man remeberd somthing. "Oh! That's right! The folks back home called, some people are here to see you, and they want you to get ya behind back there."

"Really? Who?" Benjamin asked, now curious.

"They didn't say." The old man said as he took his arm off of the young man's neck. "But ya best not keep 'em waitin'."

"That's an aye." The young man smiled. "Hope not too much trouble, but take care of Freedom for me, will ya."

"Oh, for you, it ain't no trouble." The old man smiled too as he placed his hands on his hips. "Now go on, git!" The old man began to shoo Benjamin away. Benjamin could only laugh, as he ran away from the old man. On his way out, he grabbed his brown jacket and put it on, before he waved to the airfields guards, and was out on the busy streets.

He traverse the traffic of both people and moving vehicles, mostly horse drawn but some on rails. He soon happened upon a tram station and waited. Looking up, he saw nothing but grey clouds and black one rose into the air from buildings, while airships dotted the skyline. Nearby, a dew workers were having a convresation.

"Ya hear lately? The Strays are pushin' out of the docks." one of them said. "Word is they pushin' onto Gutter Rat territory."

"Good." Another one said. "I can't stand da rats, slimy sons of bit&*$s. Ya know one of them broke Dave's leg for just looking at one of 'em funny?"

"Ya, but the Rats have always been easy. Lots of jabberin' but no bite. Every gang in the city can kick their arses to the curb if they wanted to." A third one interjected. "I wager the Hounds 'ill stop 'em, the Strays, at the foundries. Ain't nobody taken the Hounds down before."

"Ya think so?" The first worker asked.

"Oh definitely." the third one said while crossing his arms.

Benjamin didn't have time to listen to the rest of the conversation, as his he got on his tram. He was end of the tram, holding onto the beams and watching the streets and people go by, wondering about his up coming marriage....

Location
Fire Kingdom

The woman emerged from the church, closed her eyes, exhaled, and pressed her fingers against her temples, quelling a minor ache before it became a migraine. She ducked into a thoroughfare, escaping the chaos of the main street. The banns had already been posted in the church, and it was a matter of time before the Dark Realm had made a formal announcement. She had yet to fully process the last two hours she had spent after returning to the Fire Kingdom, searching the streets for a church, gathering information, and often stopping for directions to find a peculiar but reputable tailor.

She kept a low profile, cautious of being recognized, and drew her fox-fur shrug tighter around her. You will be out of here before long, she reminded herself, but a feeling of unease crept up her spine, and grew stronger as she neared Bronson Tailoring.

Katya had few friends in the Fire Kingdom. Even if she'd been accepted by polite society, she had never been interested in spending her afternoons gossiping about who'd been seen with whom, and more importantly, what they'd been wearing. She dressed modestly, in sedate taffeta and warm fur, and she gathered her mane of black hair into a knot at the base of her skull. She had never bothered to coif it into elaborate curls or plaits, even in court. Her husband saw to it that she was presentable, but as a married woman, and an outsider, it wasn't her job to turn heads.

Still, she strode confidentially, and with a daintily gloved hand resting on her trim hat, she had a subtly debonair aura, though the hair on the back of her neck stood on end. At that moment, she could have been any aristocrat, meeting with her husband and his parents for lunch or on her way to her ladies' afternoon tea.

Her pace quickened as she found the tailor's business. It was smaller than she envisioned, but elegant and far more lavish than any seamstress in her current residence. She knocked on the warm oak doors before stepping inside, intrigued.

Serenity Arkents
Best Friend to Water Prince
Clank. Clank. Clank. The sound of two needles repeatedly hitting against each other filled the almost empty room. Sitting in her chair, which was positioned against the wall, Serenity only dared to briefly look up when she noticed the door slowly open.

"Knock knock.", she heard her mother say in her ever so soft voice, already with one foot in her room. "What are you doing here at this time?", she asked in a rather confused tone.

"It is my room, is it not? I'm knitting... stuff.", Serenity answered, looking down at the various, unidentifiable, halfway finished objects she had knit, spreaded across her lap and even the floor. While it shouldn't be a rare sight seeing their own child in their room, for Serenity's mother it was. Usually she would have spent her time outside, more precisely by Kale's side. Unsatisfied with her answer, Serenity's mother gave her a well-meant frown.

"I.. don't know. He's been very busy lately and I don't want to bother him with all his work.", Serenity replied with a shrug. This sounded more like her than her previous answer. "Hrm. I'm not sure if sulking in your room whilst doing... that", she gestured with her hands towards her daughter's woolen attempts at knitting, "is the best solution to your problem. Why don't you just quickly visit your friend and bring him some freshly made melon bread?"

Serenity had been way to busy worrying to notice the sweet and warm smell that had entered her room and made its way to her nose. Her mother's melon breads where the best ones around, there was no doubt. Whether it was due to her baking skills or simply the memories that came with them, as she had always made some for Serenity to share with her friends, she was unsure about. "Will do, mother." With these words she got out of her chair and made her way to the kitchen, where a filled basket had already been waiting on the table.

Without further ado she stepped outside. Not too long after it started to drizzle, slowly but surely developing into a light rain. Looking up at the sky Serenity let out a sigh. It's not that she didn't like the rain, but she usually didn't associate it to anything good. Covering the many breads with a cloth, she continued her way to the palace (?) , slightly picking up the pace.

As she had arrived at her destination, slightly marked by the weather, she kindly greeted the guards, with whom she was already rather familiar. She offered each a melon bread, yet almost all of them declined. She took the last few steps towards Kale's office, standing in front of the door for a few moments before knocking on it.

Knock. Knock knock. Knock.

_Devon Bronson_
- Bronson Tailoring, Marelin Park, Fire Kingdom Capital -

The cackling of crow garlic in a frying pan over an iron wrought stove melded with the sound of violin playing from next door. A black cat in a waistcoat and collared shirt with the sleeves folded up to his elbows tossed in some scallops, as he hummed casually with the music, seating himself back in front of his kitchen table to chop some chicken livers.

His white brows were neatly groomed, and not a flint was on his clothes. He was as clean as his kitchen that had everything labeled and color coded. There was a whistle as the shells popped open, and he let them simmer for a while, before consulting a cookbook from the Water Kingdom, then adding some butter in the shells and a dash of fresh lemon juice. He put that aside and began frying onions, adding the chopped livers that had been marinated in salt and spices, then finally cut some tomatoes on the side, as he toasted some rye bread over another pan.

The cat sniffed his breakfast and his white-topped tail swished, pleased. He carried his meal out the kitchen, pass a room full of rolls of fabric, a sewing machine, and a mannequin where the beginnings of a wedding dress seemed to be on the way, then up the stairs, where he watched the sun rise from his second-floor balcony. The warm light fringed the tops of the trees of Marelin Park in an ember glow as the sky turned from a calm blue to pink shot with gold. It was a pleasant day, and as he drank from his mug of coffee, he noticed Princess Teno was out again, eating bread outside a bakery and enjoying the same sunrise.

He felt sad. He quite enjoyed seeing her around during his strolls in the park, playing with the children, talking with the locals. The first time he bumped into her in one of the bakeries, he had found her friendly and pleasant to chat with. To think that in a month she won't be here anymore, well, the thought made the morning seem colder.

There was a clatter of hooves down below and a horse carriage stopped in front of his front door where, there must have been an enlarging charm cast in the interior of the carriage, because a large glittering giant shoe stepped out, followed easily by an equally large half-giant woman.

"Good morning, Devon!" squeaked a well-dressed mouse from the frilly hat of the lady.

"Mr. Cartwright, good morning!" greeted the cat. "Pleasant surprise, come in, come in." he strode down the stairs, unrolling his sleeves as he passed the room full of fabric, and into another room, exquisite in appearance, where clothes and shoes were on display for sale in front of a glass window.

"Devon, this is Ms. Opal Bullistrade, of the Merchant's guild." piped the mouse.

"Good morning, Ms. Bullistrade." he bowed charmingly, kissing the giant knuckle of his new visitor who seemed to also have cast a spell on herself that made objects stretch and move away from her as she passed, including the door which creaked in relief after shortening back to its real size.

"'Vould you be ze tailor?" she asked in her thick accent.

"Yes, madam, Devon Bronson, at your service." said the tailor, switching to her local language.

"Ah! Marvelous, you speak our tongue." she said clapping. "I would like to make an order for a gown, it is for a ball, and . . ."

The moment Katya entered, she'd hear the chime of a doorbell, and would find her view obstructed by a very large woman who took up most of the room, that seems to be stretching up away from her, as a black cat with a measuring tape climbed up a wheeled step ladder, taking notes of her measurement with a parchment and quill. There was a mouse in a suit, sipping from a little teacup on a coffee table that was leaning away from the half-giant woman and they all seemed to be talking in the language of the giants.

"Good morning, madam!" Devon greeted his new customer. The mouse smiled at her; while the lady gave her a regal nod. "Please, have a seat, I shall be with you in ten minutes." He was done in ten minutes indeed, after which the giant lady said something and the tailor chuckled, nodding.

The mouse clambered up to the lady's frilly hat, and as they left, Devon opening the door --- the doorway creaking as it stretched to accommodate the lady --- the mouse called back, squeaking something about lunch later in the park. And then they left.

"What can I do for you today, ma'am?" said Devon, bowing charmingly at his second customer for the day. There was a growl from his stomach, but the tailor seemed to be ignoring it as he continued to smile pleasantly at her.

Duana
location: Library
Interaction: Penelope
Duana due to having very little interest in music outside of what its princess played tilted its head in thought, before deciding that the piece was magnificent. So Duana rose up from its spot on the Grand Piano & gave it a round of applause "Magnifico, Penny." and with that, the homunculus stopped its applause. But it wasn't finished talking "But I find everything you play to be magnifico. So I'm a little Bias " It gave the princess an apologetic shrug of its shoulders. with it critique done, it performed a standing jump onto Penny's shoulder "Penny, Are you worried about the wedding?"

(Sidenote: I can't think of a way to introduce Sabaton)

Katya opened the door, only to be graced with the presence of an exquisite, large woman and a genteel mouse having a cup of tea, chatting with someone whose view was unobstructed by the enormous lady. Unfazed but unsure who these individuals were, she gave them a small curtsy, but they were quickly whisked away by the tailor who she had expected to see.

She hadn't expected to see an anthropomorphic cat, who instructed her to wait while he dealt with his customers. She smoothed her skirts and sat gingerly on a loveseat that allowed her to see all corners of the room. There were a few doors, leading to his working or storage rooms, she guessed, and staircase. Her keen senses detected the aroma of spices and vegetables wafting down from the second floor, and she wondered if his meal had been disturbed.

When his eccentric patrons returned to the main room and bid the cat farewell, he turned to her, and she was suddenly aware of being the only other person in the room. She stood and gazed at him levelly. Even though the tailor was smaller than most other men, he still had an inch or two on her.

Now that they were in a closer proximity, she felt a sort of kinship to this man--she rarely saw those with feline blood. Also like her, he seemed the most comfortable on the trapping of his profession. She offered a businesslike nod of her head.

"Mr. Bronson," she greeted, "My name is Katya Balthazar. I have been sent here from the Dark Realm, at Her Majesty Queen Drevan's request. It is my understanding you are handling the attire for the princess of the Fire Kingdom." She extended a hand.

Penelope: Dark Princess

As Penelope finished her song she looked immediately to Duana for its reaction and as the praise came from its small lips Penelope smiled as this song was something she held dear to heart as it is mainly directed to her birth parents rather than her actual family. "Indeed, you are a little bias." Penelope says to Duana. The next question Duana asked Penelope didn't answer straight away as she had been avoiding the topic of her wedding as even though she knew it was the right thing for her people she couldn't help but feel slightly nervous about her upcoming wedding especially when she hadn't even seen her husband-to-be. "Of course I'm worried. I'm being married to the Prince of the fire kingdom." Penelope says as she shuts the lid of her piano as she took out her key and locked the lid as hated other people playing her piano. "I didn't exactly plan this for myself, I didn't even see myself getting married." Penelope says as she stands up tucking the piano stool under the piano before she walked out of the large library shutting the door behind her. "Would you like to come and pick up the fabric with me?." Penelope says tucking a strand of her jet black hair behind her ear as she pulled up the hood of her cloak as she did not want to be recognised.

Ever since the announcement to the people of Penelope's engagement the amount of her public appearances had been getting smaller and smaller as she didn't even perform at the recent founders festival, this tactic was employed by her father as they knew what Penelope was to the people and so they wanted it to seem like she had never been there but throughout the kingdom the majority thought the engagement was a cruel thing especially when you're shipping off a 17 year old to a unfamiliar land.

Penelope exited through the back entrance of the tower as if she exited through the front it would of caused quite a stir but as Penelope exited through the back she only got a few strange looks before she quickly jogged into one of the many side streets as she slowed to her pace to a walk. On these trips out Penelope savoured each moment she could spend in her kingdom as she knew her time was limited here Penelope continued to walk until she came to a fabric shop called 'Fern and Co fabrics' and as Penelope entered the desolate store she put her hood back down as she walked up to the counter and rang the bell to get someone's attention. A female orc soon came to the front of the store as she smiled at the sight of Penelope "Good Morning your majesty." Fern says. "Good morning Fern, How are you today?" Penelope asked as Fern then started ranting about her husband who spent too much coin and time at the local tavern. "If I see him I shall have a quiet word with him." Penelope says with a cheeky smile as Fern smiles fondly at the princess as Fern heads into the store room and comes back with a folded up piece of dark green velvet "Your mother wore the exact same fabric when she got married." Fern says as she wraps up the fabric in brown wrapping paper and securing it with string. "Thank you very much Fern." Penelope says as she took the package but as she looked back up to the women she saw tears eyes as she pulled the princess into a hug "If there was only a different way." Fern says and Penelope soothing rubs the women's back. "I shall write to you and if that Fire prince hurts you I'll sock him one." Fern says as she pulls away from the hug. Penelope felt touched by Fern's words "Thank you for being my friend." Penelope says as she mentally crossed Fern off her goodbye list.

Once Penelope got back to the tower she walked up the the great hall where she wasted no time in beginning her dress. Penelope drew out a few rough ideas presenting them to Duana for approval. Penelope began to cut out of the shape of her dress as one of the servants had fetched Penelope's personalised manikin so she wouldn't had to worry about measurements "Duana, please may you thread my needles for me?" Penelope asked as she placed her sowing needles and green thread on the table. "Also, when I move to the fire kingdom you don't have to come with me if you don't want to." Penelope says as she looks at her companion.

Fog does strange things to sound. Those things which are meant to be heard become muffled and distorted by it. Yet, the most private whispers carry with crystal clarity. So it was that the armored footfalls of the Prince's Retinue as they entered the castle failed to carry beyond the entry hall but the soft notes of the princess's song drifted over them. One servant who was cleaning the polished black stone floor paused a moment in their work to wipe a tear from their eye before bowing to the returned prince and returning to work with a smile.

There were few words spoken but a great deal of movement as news of the prince's return spread among the staff. Danil Draven, Prince and Heir to the throne of the Dark Kingdom had been gone for several weeks, attending to numerous remote matters and reorganizing the most damaged portions of the army to better secure their borders in case of another war, or just the return of the old one. His decision to continue as planned and tour the border defenses in spite of the approaching wedding and the bustle of preparations had been somewhat controvercial. But, none could defeat his single reason for doing so. Theirs was a small kingdom and his duty to defend it would not be changing with this wedding. Indeed, he must now secure the realm well enough that invasion, interference, and subterfuge would all be equally impeded. This wedding, however he felt, must succeed. The divide that had grown between the kingdoms must be closed if peace were to last. But, even more important than the wedding would be the years that followed. He would have to protect his new bride from danger while helping her to win the hearts of those who would be his subjects. If he failed, then she would likely succumb to assassination and peace would shatter like cheap glass plunging the continent into an ever more merciless and brutal orgy of slaughter and chaos.

He looked smaller than he was with his retinue behind him. 5'10" looks a lot like 5' when overshadowed by two armored wraiths that stand at around 8' each. Achieving peace with them and bringing them into the elite ranks of the Dark Kingdom's army had been one of Danil's less discussed wartime achievements. They still made many other groups uneasy but their loyalty and power had proven invaluable on the front line. Behind them scampered five reptilian kobolds, each standing only two feet tall and pitch black from nose to tail. They were invaluable messengers, swift and agile, with an uncanny ability to find people. They could also scamper along ceilings as easily as floors and had the presence of mind to hide from dangerous people and situations.

It was his duty to report to his father, the king, upon his return and he did not delay. He walked firmly along the halls toward the throne room. However, he had other business to attend to as well. As he walked, the prince pulled out a stack of sealed letters and held out the first one.

"Seneshal." He commanded calmly as one of his kobolds leaped forward to take the letter in gentle claws before scampering up a wall and along the ceiling of a branching corridor to deliver it. Likewise, he held out each of the remaining letters in turn to be delivered. "Master of Ceremonies. Royal Interior Decorator. Captain of the Guard. Huntsman. Castle Chef. Tanner's Guildmaster." By the time the third was being taken the first messenger had returned. In this way all of his answers to all the people who had been pestering him before he left were delivered before they could do more than think of bothering him again.

A soft rattling sound drew his hand to the pommel of his sword. Animus Mort trembled under his palm where it rested in its scabbard. It was a familiar signal that there was ill intent being directed toward the Dark Kingdom. He had felt it daily during the war. Even now, it was still a frequent thing. Yet, the trembling was still subtle. The source of the intent was far away. This blade was his most valuable possession. Killing a pooka was a difficult feat. Using his power to change its corpse and residual magic into this sword had granted him a weapon of immense utility. He sometimes wished that he had possessed this blade when he had journeyed south with his sister years ago.

The meeting with his father was brief and to the point. The king knew well the resolve of his adopted son. There was no concern of him refusing his duty. No matter the intent behind it, it was the journey taken by Danil and Penelope that had sparked the war with the Fire Kingdom. So, it fell to them to take the necessary steps to repair the fragile harmony of the lands. The meeting centered more on the developing of the defenses and the building of fortifications in all of the passes between the Dark Kingdom and its neighbors. The prince's report was concise and progress was steady. The one point of indecision was in reference to hiring private warriors to fill roles that honored veterans would usually fill. In truth, many of the veterans were wounded after the last battles and the cost of the war would be difficult to conceal from the Fire Kingdom, especially after their princess arrived.

The decision was made that Danil would travel farther north to visit the territory of a little known species of monsters known only as The Dread. If their service could be secured then the security and appearances of the kingdom would be strengthened greatly. However, it would take more than a week just to get there with a retinue. The prince did not often travel alone because of the dangers of their land and the war. Still, he had ways of getting it done.

With his audience with the King concluded, Danil left the throne room and ascended one of the towers to his study. Here, he would be available for the inevitable bombardment of questions and problems that he would have to settle. It was a place where he had often been and all knew that finding him here was far easier than finding him elsewhere. It was also the only tower with heavily armored wraith warriors guarding both the entrance and the room where the prince was.

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

The rain pattered down calmly as Kai slipped into the room. Kale chose to ignore the weather and his possible connection to it. Kale quickly shuffled his finished letter to Kurt Wycleff asking for his help in ending the marriage of their sisters under his more boring paperwork. In a flash Kai dropped a box of unsightly cakes onto his paperwork and he sighed tensely before smiling at her. "Aren't you due for a break?" She asked. He leaned back into his chair and cracked his knuckles as he considered her question. Probably. He had been working since before dawn. There was so much work to do.

"What do they have you doing today? More policy work?" Asked Kai as she began to examine the cakes. Kale eyed them, realizing that he hadn't had anything to eat yet.

"A little bit of everything. Some shipping requests, some maintenance. Of course, some wedding details. I take it these are some of the cake samples. How did mother let you get away with that?" Kale asked playfully.

He tried to not talk about the wedding much with his sister. He had to imagine that most people in the kingdoms didn't want to talk about it. Aside from many of the citizens who were enjoying the opportunity to participate in a once in a lifetime royal wedding. It was the beginning of peace and a grand party was promised to all citizens of all lands.

Before he got too lost in his thoughts, Kale heard a gentle knock at the door. He dreaded the royal advisor who was on the other side but knew he had to answer it. When he opened the heavy door he was thrilled to see it was Serenity. A look into her arms brought another exciting revelation with her.

"Serenity! Don't tell me you have your mother's famous Melon Bread?" He said with a smile.

He ushered her into the room and offered her his seat. The rain outside seemed to lighten even more and sun began to shine through the window. Just a passing shower. Perfectly frequent so close to the ocean. The sun shone on his best friend and his sister and Kale felt, for just a moment, peace.

T
he feline tailor took Katya's hand, stooped respectfully, and gave it a whiskery kiss. His warm furry paws were shorter than a man's fingers, but bigger, with soft pink pads.

"You are correct, Madam Balthazar." said Devon, pulling up a stool. He sat, bending, with his paws on his knees, so that he was shorter and gave the impression of a willing listener. "I am honored by your visit. The dress is coming along splendidly and will be ready for princess Teno's first fitting two weeks from now. Would you care for some tea?"

He gestured to the coffee table where three half-finished cups stood, one mouse sized, one ordinary, one as big as a pail. This tailor shop must garner customers of all kinds. In fact, the comfy space was decorated with displays of fabric, foreign silk, geometric dwarven gold linings, elven floral brooches, pearlescent buttons, and embroidered cloth from all the kingdoms, including Wooly Mammoth wool from the outskirts of the Dark Realm, suggesting that Mr. Devon Bronson either was well-travelled or had a lot of foreign connections for his trade.

It was probably the first, for on the walls were moving black and white photos, a common enchantment in the paintings of magical homes, but not photos --- photos were something usually only seen in the Industrial Empire, and they never moved. The photos depicted him in a traveler's outfit, boots splattered in mud, with a musket over his shoulder, flint-lock pistols on his vest, and a rapier hanging from his utility belt. He was cheerfully rugged in these photos, just like his other companions in the picture, one of which was a centaur shaman, while the rest had the air of mercenaries-for-hire.

"I am at the service of her majesty, is there something she asks of me?"

Serenity Arkents
Best Friend to Water Prince
After knocking on the door, Serenity took a step back, awaiting a response. Not even five seconds had passed before the door opened, a few strands of light, white silverish hair being the first thing she saw. A smile grew on her face, knowing too well whom this hair belonged to.

"Serenity! Don't tell me you have your mother's famous Melon Bread?", Kale kindly greeted her. She bowed lightly infront of him. Although they were close, he was still part of the royal family, which Serenity respected. "Kale. It's good to see you. And I sure do.", she replied, patting the cloth that was lightly draped over the bread, "Mother just freshly made them and told me to bring some to you."
, she explained while accompanying him into his office. She gladly accepted his seat offer. As she walked towards Kale's chair to sit down she noticed another person in the room, Princess Kai. "Oh Kai", she performed the same gesture she did while greeting Kale, "It is good to see you too."

As she finally sat down on the chair she put the basket down on what seemed to be the only free spot on the entire desk. She couldn't but notice all the papers, some piled on a clean stack, a few scattered over the entire desk. "Feel free to dig in.", Serenity pointed at the basket. "If you're not already full, that is.", she chuckled, noticing the box with all kinds of cake slices on top of one out of many paper stacks.

As she looked out of the window she noticed the rain getting lighter and lighter, and soon after even the sun coming out. Seeing the weather change and feeling the warm sunshine on her skin made Serenity's smile grow even bigger. She took a moment to appreciate it all. Being there made her feel much more comfortable than being in her own room by herself.

She turned towards Kale, her facial expressions becoming slightly concerned. "I hope I didn't choose an unfavorable time to show up? Seeing all these papers... It sure has been a busy time for you, has it not?" She didn't want to ruin the current mood, but she was just too worried about being a nuisance at the time. "If there's any way that I can help you, be sure to tell me, got it?", she advised him in a joking manner, putting her smile back on.

Character: Sabaton
Location: The Glowing Drow
(A Tavern located near the border of the Industrial Empire)
Interaction: No One
Sabaton was seated by his lonesome at a table far from any of the other tavern visitors, he had opened his helmet slightly so he could have some assistance from his friend alcohol to drown his sorrows, this was his life since the war. Him wandering from kingdom to kingdom, country to country, and him stopping at a tavern whenever possible cause he wanted to forget everything so badly and drinking helped him forget things for a while.

and forget things he did, like his axes, that hung loosely around his waist, a trained soldier like him should be more aware of his weapons, but his weapons were something that Sabaton didn't concern himself with at the moment, but someone else in the tavern did, an up & coming pick-pocket took notice of the soldier's distracted mannerisms.

The Pickpocket thought that Sabaton would be an easy mark and in a way, he was right. But Sabaton isn't as unaware of his surroundings as his drinking would suggest. So the moment when the pickpocket's finger was in reach of Sabaton's axe, the pickpocket instead found himself being swung over the soldier's shoulder then being slammed into the table, with the previously seated soldier, now standing and with his hand enclosed around windpipes of the pickpocket and staring down at him, and himself being forced to look up into the eyes of Sabaton's helmet.

Sabaton could feel the tavern's other patron turn their gaze towards him, but he knew none would interfere.

"How Old?"

The question came out of nowhere and the would be thieves stared at him with confusion.

"How old are you?" Sabaton clarified, the thief decided it would be most wise to answer truthfully "fourteen, sir" the thief quickly answered and apparently that was the right answer, for Sabaton released his grip on his windpipes "Go" The thief didn't need to be told twice and ran like a pig from a gun, Sabaton watched him, making sure the kid would in-fact listen. when the kid was out the door Sabaton called over a barmaid, he asked for her to bring him more to drink then quickly and quietly sat down in his chair

Vincent Berny
The bright morning sun bore down on Vincent as he lazily walked through the busy streets of the Fire Kingdom. Though it should be a normal sight for the lively city, the people all seemed to be different this time. Of course, the reason was the fast approaching royal weddings between the four kingdoms. Some were excited, smiles on their faces as they talked about how there will finally be peace between the kingdoms. Others were convinced that this peace would most likely never last. A few were indifferent and simply didn't care. As for Vincent, he just hoped that it would all go well for everybody.

Contrary to the general atmosphere of the city, business was slow for his father. He looked up towards the blue, cloudless sky as he thought idly, "All the other big shops around us is the likely culprit huh...". Nonetheless, this meant that he had some free time he could spend for the day. He had no particular destination he had in mind, and after a while he arrived at the main plaza. Various stalls can be seen selling their own preferred goods, and in roughly the middle a group of musicians playing beautiful melodies. Deciding to take a short rest, he picked a wooden bench at random to sit down on and sighed.

It was just another peaceful day for Vincent - though it is quite boring in his honest opinion.

KAI BAYMOON
Water Princess

nagi-miuna-32.jpg

"A little bit of everything. Some shipping requests, some maintenance. Of course, some wedding details. I take it these are some of the cake samples. How did mother let you get away with that?" Kale asked playfully. He had brought up the wedding, still a sensitive subject for her. After all, most of the plans concerning Kai had been made by and for Katrina. It was awfully hard for her to think to change some of them, like the colors, music, and decor even though it was all very not Kai, and extremely high end and formal. However, Katrina's well organized plans had allowed Kai to not have to worry about hardly any wedding detail and mostly pretend that she wasn't even getting married. Kai smirked and shrugged her shoulders, "Well I wasn't exactly supposed to taste them, but..." as she replied to him there was a soft knock at the door. Oh great who could that be? Kai fiddled with the hem of her skirt and prayed it wasn't mother come to reprimand her for the cake apocalypse. She was happily not surprised to see Serenity outside the door.

"Serenity! Don't tell me you have your mother's famous Melon Bread?" Kale asked cheerfully. Of course she does you doof! Kai tuned out their conversation and continued to pick at the cakes. She watched as the rain disappeared and the sun began to shine into the room. She felt a pang of jealousy seeing Kale lead Serenity into the room and sit her in his chair. Kai wasn't sure why seeing them bothered her so much, it wasn't like Serenity wasn't kind to her or that she wasn't thankful for her being there for the family when they were hurting. "Feel free to dig in.", Serenity pointed at the basket. "If you're not already full, that is.", Kai snapped out of her thoughts and smiled at the offer. "I would never pass up the chance to eat these god sent loaves," Kai giggled and grabbed two pieces, one for now and one for later.

"I hope I didn't choose an unfavorable time to show up? Seeing all these papers... It sure has been a busy time for you, has it not?" Kai couldn't help but listen in."If there's any way that I can help you, be sure to tell me, got it?", at this Kai perked up from her seat. The question wasn't necessarily directed at her, but she figured Kale wouldn't mind if she stole Serenity for a few hours. It actually might be more helpful for him to have someone keeping Kai out of trouble. "Actually, maybe you could help me? You see, I have a fitting today in the Fire Kingdom and seeing as I've already disappointed mother for the day," Kai shrugged towards the cake pieces, "would you mind coming with me?" The fitting, like all of her wedding plans, was scheduled by Katrina. She wasn't sure what to expect at it, but she already knew that she wasn't going to like the dress. The only perk she saw in the plan was being able to get out of the palace for a while.

Character: Duana

Duana nodded its head then got straight to work, by beginning the rather tedious task of threading Penny's needles. But the moment that Penny made the suggestion of it not coming with her, it stopped its work and gave its princess an incredulous look. "Penny for someone so bright, you certainly can be dim sometimes. I've been with you for 10 years now, I'm not leaving now of all times"

Tamara Esgard
Guard

"Stay there you stupid beast." Another day, another stupidly simple job that Tamara had to do, and once more she somehow managed to mess it up. 'Helping a cat out of a tree? Too easy...' Was her first thought which she now kind of regretted. She wasn't too fond of this cat, which belonged to one of the children of the orphanage, as this was already the fifth time that month that it got stuck in that goddamned tree. And, vice versa, that cat wasn't too fond of her either.

The sun was shining as so often in the Fire Kingdom, which, combined with all the running Tamara had already done that day, made her feel more and more uncomfortable in her armor as the time passed. The cat ran towards the main plaza. "Oh no, you won't...", Tamara murmured under her breath, knowing too well that she'd easily lose the cat in midst all those people. She picked up her pace and followed the cat, bumping into a few people. "Sorry... Excuse me... I'm sorry", she repeated while trying to get through the mass of people. She spotted the grey furred beast under a wooden bench, on which a boy sat. She ran towards it, while pointing at the cat. "There! The cat! Catch it!", she exclaimed, which seemed to startle the boy, but also the cat, which hasty ran away. "Ugh...", Tamara sighed, being annoyed, as well as angry. She took a deep breath before resuming her pursuit, which led into an alley.

She seemed to have lost track of the Scottish Fold, when she suddenly heard a familiar purring. Looking around, she noticed the cat in front of a bakery. '
Gotcha.' With silent steps she sneaked behind the ferocious beast and threw herself on the ground to catch it. Still lying on the ground, with her face facing up, she lifted the cat, which angrily hissed at her. "You...! And again, I made this town a safer place... or the like.", she praised her self. With the cat tucked under one arm, still trying to fight her way out, she got up and turned towards the girl that was sitting in front of the bakery. "I hope this monster didn't steal any of y-", before finishing her sentence she deposited the cat back on the ground, which, victoriously, trotted towards the girl. Tamara bowed before her. 'How did I only now notice who is actually sitting here?!', she thought to herself. "Princess Teno. Excuse me for interrupting your meal."

Teno Wycleff
Fire Princess

Teno sipped her tea and looked around the city. Close by was a group of musicians who had drawn a small crowd. The sign for the tailor caught her eye and she considered that, perhaps, after her breakfast she would pay the kindly Devon Bronson a visit. She wasn't in love with the idea doing any wedding planning, but at least Mr. Bronson cared about his craft. Teno was growing quite fond of him and, even if she had to be married to a stranger, she could look like a true Fire Kingdom bride while she did so. Then after that she would eventually have to go back home and see her brother and...

Suddenly there was a young woman in Fire Kingdom Guard clothing lying on the ground with a small cat in her grip. The cat was not pleased in the slightest, but the girl whispered some hasty words at the cat and seemed to be glowing with pride on the capture. The cat mus have been a difficult adversary. Teno couldn't help but smile. The young woman got up and dusted herself off and turned toward Teno to say, "I hope this monster didn't steal any of y-"

She seemed to realize halfway through her thought that it was the crown princess before her. She dropped the cat who walked over to Teno. Teno bent reached down to pet the gray cat as the guard bowed before her. "Princess Teno. Excuse me for interrupting your meal." Teno continued to smile as she pet the now placid cat and tried to place a name to the person before her. She wasn't like her brother who seemed know every citizen who worked for the crown by name. She looked familiar but Teno couldn't quite tell. Teno glanced back to the musicians and noticed a young man staring at the two of them with a slight look of bewilderment. She gave him a friendly smile.

"Oh come now, no need to bow. You've done our kingdom a great service capturing this vicious criminal," said Teno with a breezy laugh. She smiled at the girl, showing her no harm was done. Teno didn't particularly believe in commanding an air of formality with her people. Especially when she wasn't the heir to the throne. Although she could understand the girl's unease, especially from the lower rank on her outfit. She must be new and trying to make a good impression.

"Tell me, what is your name? And what has this cat done to warrant one of my brother's fine guards chasing it down?" She said with a playfully raised eyebrow.

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

Kale's stomach rumbled more definitively and he decided that maybe it was really time for a break. He accepted Serenity's offer and took some of the famous melon bread. Every time he had it was always better than the last. He looked at the cakes with disappointment. A true Water Domain wedding would have been better suited to be simply catered, and if he had had his choice of bride and cake, then the melon bread might have been the answer to both.

"I hope I didn't choose an unfavorable time to show up? Seeing all these papers... It sure has been a busy time for you, has it not?" Said Serenity with a look of concern. Kale eyed his paperwork, his lips pressed into a thin and unsure line. She really wasn't kidding. Was there ever a time before paperwork? Those long trading journeys to lands within and beyond the Gilded Continent seemed almost like dreams or childhood fairy tales. "If there's any way that I can help you, be sure to tell me, got it?"

Before he could answer that question Kai interrupted with, "Actually, maybe you could help me? You see, I have a fitting today in the Fire Kingdom and seeing as I've already disappointed mother for the day, would you mind coming with me?"

Kale perked up to hear this. It was more than nice to hear that his sister wanted to spend time with Serenity. On top of that, if they took a day trip to the Fire Kingdom, it meant they would more than likely run into either Kurt or Teno Wycleff and his letter would be delivered securely. The sooner Kurt Wycleff read it, the sooner they could possibly collaborate on changing the outcome of these weddings. And it would leave him time to finish his work without having to involve or stress his sister any further.

"Now that is a plan I could get behind. You're going to that Purrsian tailor, aren't you? I heard that the Fire King is over the moon with him," said Kurt reaching under the box of cakes for his letter to Kurt. He held it out to Serenity.

"Could you also deliver this to Kurt for me? It's just some diplomatic correspondence. I was just going to send it with the regular mail, but if you're already on the way it would save me some trouble."

Lucine Briarheart
"To Be Revealed"

Lucine exited the grocer with a large paper bag filled with food. She was up early, as she often was, and had decided to get a head start to the day. Her plan was to catch the tram back to her modest shared home and make some treats to bring to the orphanage. She visited as often as she could find time and tried to always bring something with her. Working part time didn't put much on the table, and what it did she felt compelled to share.

The tram wasn't particularly crowded but she still took standing room toward the back, near the open window so she could take in the city. It wasn't very pretty and it wasn't really home, but there wasn't much else to take in. Her life had become centered around the idea of "life is what you make it." She intended to make it the best she could, no matter what. Men and women gossiped on the tram, trading stories about the Red Bandit and the street gangs.

The current gang most talked about was the Strays. Lucine admired them and their ideals, even if she didn't always agree with everything they did. They fought for the people, and that was an ideal she appreciated. Some people talked about the upcoming weddings. Lucine listened idly to the chatter as she noticed a young man get on the tram behind her, outside of the window. She was quite sure it was the Industrial Son, as he was an easy to recognize face in these turbulent times.

She stood quietly for a while, listening to the chatter and clatter of the tram. After a while she decided to start up a conversation with the Industrial Son. She decided there would be few chances for her, a veritable commoner, to actually talk with him and not just see him from a distance. If there was any luck she might even be able to drop some hints about the orphanage and put it into his subconscious. She turned to him.

"Beautiful day, isn't it?"
She said brightly. "I don't think we've seen sunshine like this in ages."

Flynn Wulfgar
"To Be Revealed"

"If it pleases his Majesty," said Flynn, his voice dripping with charm. "I am here on official business to visit the crown prince and princess. "

The guards at the door examined his documents. Flynn had come alone, which in itself was off. Normally the royal family was accosted by an entire menagerie. Flynn smiled a charismatic grin. He was the designated musician for the royal weddings and had just begun making the rounds of visiting the royal children. His goal was to learn about each person and find ways to tweak music to be best fitting to each of them.

"Please come in," said the guards. Flynn entered as they explained that the princess was not around but that he was welcome to visit the prince in his study. He followed one of them as they lead him through the large castle. Grand fires burned in the giant fireplaces and music could be heard throughout the hallways on the walk.

At last they came to a grand set of double doors. The guard did a small series of taps before opening the door, ostensibly to warn whoever was in there that is was to be trusted. Flynn bid the guard farewell and entered the cozy study. Two men stood before him. One of whom was the prince, and the other he was uncertain of.

"Your Majesty," said Flynn with a deep bow. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Flynn Wulfgar. The royal composer to the kingdoms. I do hope I am not interrupting. However, I am here on official business from the priests of the Gilded Orb and my time must be divided evenly and swiftly. Even though I'm sure you're sick to death of hearing this, let's talk about your wedding."
