How do you figure? I made those up myself, I mean, it could fit in General .discussion, but I thought it was better suited for creativity.

If you made the images yourself, it's certainly Creativity. But as you said, this is a thread for people to post gifs they think are neat, not necessarily to showcase talent. If you'd like, you can put gifs you make in this thread, and invite people to share funny gifs in General Discussion.
