Hello! I am Disgruntled and I enjoy roleplaying!
I would like to give a quick introduction of myself, if you wouldn't mind! I am 19 years old and I have been roleplaying nearly as long as I have been conscious. Of course, that transitioned from pretend fighting and walking around my neighborhood as a child to writing crappy stories in a variety of games that were friendly towards roleplaying. The last few years I had been roleplaying primarily on Skype and Steam, but this year I had swapped almost completely in favor of forums such as RP Nation. Roleplaying is certainly one of my greatest hobbies and it is something I do with pride. I enjoy writing rich characters and the worlds to fit them in. As it is, though, I am not the greatest fan of using fandoms or fandom based OC's.
In terms of prefernces in roleplays:
I absolutely adore world-building. I tend to do it in my free time or when I'm thinking up new characters. If you don't like world-building that's fine, it doesn't have to be a focus. If it is a mutually shared interest, though, I am sure the two of us can get lost in our own worlds we forge together!
I absolutely adore romance in my roleplays. I certainly won't try to force it if it isn't going to happen; however, if there is a possibility I will certainly try to make it happen. I am more of a slow-burn romance kind of person. I like the relationships between characters to feel real, at least as real as we can make a fictional relationship in a fantasy or sci-fi world. This includes all of the various fluff and flirting that would come with any relationship, we can totally talk about what is and isn't okay!
I love OOC chat, as I've made so many friends just from roleplaying. If that isn't your cup of tea though I'm fine with that as well!
Underlined for Importance: If there are any issues that you happen to have in our roleplays whether it is character actions, a trait in the world, or any offenses you have taken. PLEASE inform me instead of ghosting me. I would like to try as hard as I can to keep our story going smoothly. I will work with you on any problems the two of us might face!
Normally I would like to post prompts, but instead I will detail my characters so that way we can make our own stories based off of the ideas you might find here!
Aivan Valen (Russ) - Aivan is a lone thief who has made his way across the continents on the run from a rather furious Lamia Emperor. He usually just moves from town to town, trying to find whatever shiny trinkets he can. He has a rather flirtatious attitude and will often try to talk his way out of any situation. Unfortunately, Aivan also happens to carry a lot of baggage about his elusive past and will rarely let anyone the opportunity to get close to him. The trickster also happens to have a few other tricks up his sleeve thanks to blessings from a goddess of nature known as Fosily.
Renae Tullivan - Renae is a Mitaran girl who grew up in a nice home with her mother. At a young age she was given a scholarship to the Imperial Academy of Magic. There she showed great prowess with various schools of magic and even ancient rhetoric. Unfortunately, at only the age of 14 a terrible blood curse revealed itself. Now a large majority of the spells she cast would backfire with terrible consequences. She was cast out of the school and was forbidden to practice magic any longer. Devestated, Renae returned home only to find her mother was terribly ill due to the same blood curse that Renae was afflicted by. Now in terrible debt due to the loans she has taken to keep her mother alive, Renae struggles to work at the age of 16 to feed herself and pay back the loan sharks.
Tierra-Lepachiek 196080 - Tierra is only one of the 30 Lepachiek that were ever created by the United Empire. She was a living weapon designed to operate with her team of four to strike at the enemies of the United Empire in a coordinated and unseen manner. She operates an advanced suit of armor developed expressly for the Lepachiek Scout Division. She's not known for having the most flavorful personality and has often been described as "dull," "One track minded," and "dogmatic." She tends to focus only on her job, and whenever she is not operating on a mission she mostly just hones her skills in combat. Being an alien species, she would fit best in a sort of first-contact or crash landing scenario. I'll be honest here and basically say she's like a Tsundere, or a Yandere. That's the best way to describe her personality.
Verrani - Verrani is yet another of the same species as Tierra. However, he lived before the United Empire was formed and was a part of the original Vesatunonian Empire. He served as a front-line soldier in the War of our Weeping Sisters, and was exiled after a terrible war crime he committed against his own people. He travels across the universe with only his skills as a soldier, and his unique blade forged of Xannerite, a metal exclusive to Vesatunonia. He is rather gruff, but believes strongly in the system of honor known to the Vesa. He is quick to anger, and carries his sins plainly upon himself and wishes to atone for that which he has done.
Ciri - Ciri was originally a nobleman's daughter who was raised simply to be used in political marriage. Thankfully for her, the gods had a different path for her to follow as a Seer destined to prevent a terrible calamity. Unfortunately, the Praetor that was chosen to protect her had great disdain for the gods and refused to obey them. The gods chose to let him die, and as a result the people of Alde Kilse blamed Ciri for his death since she could not prevent it. She was convicted of being a Blind Seer and was blindfolded and imprisoned deep beneath the ground in the great winding caverns of the Alde Gyn mountains. A massive warden was set in the caves to prevent anyone from getting in and releasing her. The calamity that was supposed to befall Alde Kilse happened, and Ciri was left alone in the caves, sustained only by the food she was brought by her Warden and the water that dripped from the ceiling.
These are all the ones I have to post for right now! I have other characters, but I find they're far more situational!
