Color Me Problems

Lady Warlock

Anime RN
I've noticed a few different things that change color me colors until the page is refreshed. Whenever I click the "Follow" button in any thread, all of a sudden the top bar becomes gray and the bars on the page become blue. This stays that way until I refresh the page. The same thing happens when I'm in my inbox and I click a new conversation and again, it does not go back until I refresh the page. It's a little annoying that I can set it to the colors I want and yet it doesn't stay that way regardless of what I do on a page.

Another problem with Color Me that I have noticed is that when you change your colors on a laptop, it does not apply those changes on the site in a mobile device. This seems rather odd to me because when I change my theme, it changes on the other devices. I would think that that would mean that the color changes I make on my laptop should apply to mobile devices. I can't change the colors manually on mobile devices so I'm stuck in the default colors for Color Me and its very annoying.

I'm adding in screenshots because I'm pretty sure someone's going to ask.

This is what my color me normally looks like:

This is what it looks like when I hit the "Follow" button to see who follows the page. The color changes are labeled.

This is what it looks like when I exit out of "Who follows this". The color changes stay. It should also be noted that while the page looks like this, I am unable to change the colors at all. Whenever I try to open up the paintbrush that would normally allow me to change colors, it opens and then closes right away.

When you are switching the theme of the site, check to see whether you are signed into the browser.  I switched from the default theme to the Color Me theme during class on my phone.  My laptop browser also showed the same theme when I just checked it.

What do you mean by signed in to the browser? I use google chrome on my laptop, the default on my phone, and silk on my Kindle. My phone and kindle match color me colors and my laptop has different color me colors.

Whenever I change the theme entirely on one, it always changes all three.

I was merely pointing out that if the theme changes on all three when I change on one, it would only make sense for colors to work in the same manner and thus far, it has not worked that way for me.

This is your problem.  The cookies from the site, which remember what theme you use, will only be stored on the device's browser.  The site does not remember this for you.  If you want all of your devices to match when you use RpNation, you have to consistently use the same browser in order for it to work perfectly.

Google chrome is not available on a kindle. And Silk browser is only available on Kindle.

That's just the way that the cookies work, unfortunately.  I don't believe there's any solution to that, other than to replicate the theme on each device.

If you have already downloaded Google Chrome onto your mobile device, open it.  Similar to the laptop version, there will be a menu in the upper right hand corner.  Click it.  Go to the browser settings and find the option to log in.  Not only will it transfer the browser cookies, but you will also have the same browser history and bookmarks.

Edit: You can't edit it through mobile, but if you edit through your laptop, the colors should transfer over.

I have done this. The colors still do not match.
