It was a warm Friday afternoon at the Academy. The second week into the school year and already Jay was assigned a group project. Well, everyone at the academy had. The city was sponsoring a local history event and the school jumped right on that opportunity. People from all grades were grouped together and assigned different sections of town to research and present on. His group, which consisted of his roommate Victor and a few others, were assigned to research the old factory on the river. There wasn't much about it online other than it was a car factory before being shut down, so his group decided to go check it out in person. After all, they were given the afternoon off for just this purpose.
Jay was still having some trouble adapting to the academy. Victor was nice enough, but Jay didn't know how to connect with him. He hoped they'd get over that soon, considering they lived together. The others in his group were Alisa, Russel, and Ashlynn. He didn't know much about any of them, other than Alisa was supposedly rich. Oh well, he'd just have to wait and see.
He was waiting on a bench in the courtyard waiting for the others to arrive. He hated being late to anything, so arrive way ahead of scheadule. Not like he had anything better to do anyway.
