[Retro Nova]

Greetings S.U fans! This thread will be the hub for the participants of this role play idea.


This role play will be a remake of the show with OCs. Each character will be replaced. BUT the roleplay will not revolve around the actual show and plot TOO MUCH as I see it as repetitive and it might potentially take all the fun out of the roleplay.

We are...THE COSMIC GEMS!

About 6500 thousand years ago the earth was made into a kindergarten. Life on the planet was primitive and by no mean able to protest their planets destruction. But that did not take away from the beauty of planet. The creatures there no matter how primitive did not deserve to have their planet, and therefore lives taken away from them. There were gems who believed in this, no matter how unpopular their opinions, but there was one gem that believed in this so deeply and passionately that she rebelled against her Diamond, her Homeworld, and her upbringing. Her name was Sky Zirconia. She was Blue diamonds most trusted and respected gem and friend. On a scouting mission she got to witness the beauties of Earth first hand.. She would request to have her scout missions prolonged so that she may stay among the earth creatures and foliage as long as she wanted. Blue Diamond caught wind of her suspicious activities and confronted her about them. Sky explained her feelings about earth and it's kindergarten, begging for the kindergarten to be removed and for the Earth to be left alone and for the colonization to stop.


Blue Diamond was disgusted with this request and did not entertain the idea and told Sky that this was how things were and that she must accept them. This angered Sky and she, after years of watching her new found beloved Earth being destroyed, started a rebellion that lasted hundreds of years. At one point during the rebellion she was captured and brought before Blue Diamond for judgement. Sky did not regret her actions and stood behind her decision to rebel. Blue Diamond, as stated in Homeworld legislature was to have sky shattered publically. But seeing such passion in her long and beloved friends eyes made this action almost impossible. She decided to pretended that Sky escaped, but released her and told her that she was never return to Homeworld again and if she were to even attempt to come back she would be shatter, as she was now a traitor and an enemy of Homeworld.


Now present day Sky has remade her home Earth and she has even found herself a lover by the name Clark. They married and had a daughter which that named Babs. They now live in Misty Cove City, a large and popular city which sits on the edge of the world and looks onto the ocean. Upon Babs' birth Sky became very weak, seeing as she gave Babs most of her life source to her at birth. She is confined to her room in her gem form and can not leave under any circumstance. She lives in her home with the other Cosmic Gems.




Alright. These is a limited number of spot for the Cosmic Gems. (You may ONLY play (1) character! *FIRST COME FIRST SERVE*. I WILL BE PICKY SO BE PREPARED FOR THAT. DON'T BE OFFENDED IF YOU'RE REJECTED, just be ready to change things as needed. If you choose to role play a fusion you can only play as the fusion and their fusion gems. There can be only (1) fusion gem.

General Rules (READ ME)


1- Please be able to post daily or every other day. MULTIPLE TIMES if possible. There will be NO posting order.


2- Please communicate! I love hearing ideas, and I'm also happy to help solve any issues anyone may have with the role play. And please please PLEASE don't just disappear on us! if you want to quit, let me know so I can find someone to replace you!


3- Use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and please use third person!

4- PLEASE READ EVERYTHING! I know it's alot, but to be a part of this world you must know it.


5- If you have any issues with anyone for any reason discuss and resolve it in the OOC!

Personality : Babs is one tough cookie. She's always looking for a fight and never backs down from a challenge. She is very bold in her wardrobe choices and she doesn't really take anyone's advice but her own. She doesn't take precautions in most situations and she tends to get herself in a lot sticky situations that she most of the. time can't handle.


Bio: She is Sky's only daughter and is under the current care of her father and the remaining Cosmic Gems.


Special Ability : X-ray vision. She can see through objects.


Extras: She is half human.

Appearance :

Personality : Ebony is very reserved, but pleasant to be around. She is very protective of Babs seeing as she and Sky were so close. She is not easily angered and she it takes alot to really push her over the edge. She is meticulous and calculated and never rushing into anything without a plan and a back up plan for that plan.


Bio: Ebony was a soldier under White Diamonds rule. She was an expert in espionage and spy work. Her original mission was used to infiltrate the rebellion and pose as a member and report back to the Diamonds with information, but she soon adopter their thinking and beliefs and became a true member. Becoming an enemy of Homeworld and being put on the "Most Wanted" list along side Sky and thr others rebel gems.


Special Ability : Super speed


Extras: She can speak many languages including most Earth languages and most of the known galaxies languages.

A true busy-body through and through, Milo is always on his feet and never has a moment to rest. Whether it'd be due to his own accord or to somebody else's, Milo seems to always have a project to be working on. But to say that Milo doesn't have hobbies would be a lie; in fact, hobbies compose at least 2/3's of his personal time when he's not sitting in his room, resting. But while Milo has an extravagant personal life, his social life suffers due to his constant working state. Yes, Milo does talk with the other gems and anyone who decides to initiate in conversation with him, but there is a definite lack of want to talk about himself, making most of the conversations one-sided.


The emotion Milo normally wears would be cheerful, a smile plastered to his face under normal circumstances. However, if someone so much as even interferes with his hobbies, Milo becomes increasingly irritated the more a person will continue to meddle with him. At most, Milo will scold the meddler with a yell in an attempt to persuade them to leave if he feels the need or gets irritated enough.


When it comes to the gems (Babs included), Milo is probably the kindest he could ever be. He tries his best to make living easier for the gems, going as far as to take care of anything and everything they need done; whether it'd be laundry or dishes, Milo always finds time to try and get the chore done. In terms of a sense of humor, Milo finds no interest in jokes and, although he understands them, won't laugh at them.

Bio:


Created on Homeworld, Milo was brought about to be a dancer for Blue Diamond. However, it appeared as though he wasn't putting any emotion into his dancing, making his trainer think that he was emotionally disturbed and forcing him to turn Milo away. But while it seemed he didn't have emotions, this was not the case, it actually turns out that Milo just didn't want to be a dancer. While not wanting a given task wasn't common on Homeworld, it certainly wasn't a rarity, but it's scarce that a gem might take action or plainly refuse to do it. So instead, he was tasked with being a warehouse keeper, working in one of the many storerooms for gem ships on Homeworld.


This occupation appealed to Milo more-so than being a dancer, so much so that he couldn't stop working for even a second. One day, Milo caught wind about one of the research teams discovering a new planet to destroy and how the life on it was so sacred and beautiful that people were actually beginning to oppose Blue Diamond's command to terminate it. Although he did love working, Milo thought about how many opportunities he would get to do something more than just manage how many ships can fit into a building at once. So he caught the nearest transportation ship to Earth to witness this sacred beauty for himself. After seeing what his planet was about to do to such a lovely and peaceful world, Milo decided to join the movement against Homeworld, led by Sky Zironica. However, the movement was met with heavy backlash and resistance from the gem government, thus causing the gems who were still left in the Rebellion to be exiled from Homeworld.


While Milo was never directly involved in any of the fighting, he did supply the Rebel gems with supplies in the meantime. When he was exiled, Milo was almost happy, seeing as he did not like Homeworld and their policies. So with nowhere left to go, Milo joined Sky with a couple of other gems and stayed on Earth in a town called Misty Cove City, a small sea-side town. Since there was little to do, Milo took up several hobbies and began working as hard as he could to pacify the empty feeling that boredom brings.

Milo is able to control his own weight by will. Whether it'd be making himself super light to jump to higher place or making himself heavier to help himself sink down to a lower level, Milo is able to do it with ease.

However, it appeared as though he had no emotions and had a severe lack of empathy, thus he was denied service based upon his emotional disturbance. But while it seemed he didn't have emotions, this was not the case, he actually had no motivation for becoming a soldier period. Whether it was fighting and destroying planets or protecting the planet that is killing helpless life, Milo had no want to do such things. So instead, he was tasked with being a warehouse keeper, working in one of the many storerooms for gem ships on Homeworld.


This occupation appealed to Milo greater than being a soldier, so much so that he couldn't stop working. I like him. But having him as a pearl means that he can't innately have been a soldier. Pearls are for show, their purpose is to stand around and look pretty for their owners. Maybe work the bio around that. But otherwise ACCEPTED! (;

Personality : Topaz is very passionate and caring towards other gems and also humans. She able to rely on others but she can manage to be independent. She very polite and like to learn more about earth; meaning Topaz can also be very curious that can lure her into trouble. She enjoy playing human games though she doesn't really eat much as Gems don't have to.


Bio:


Topaz has formed 200 years ago on the home world gem's planet. She was assign under 'White Diamond' commands and was titled to be one of the Nurse. Helping a gem known as Snowflake who was a doctor. She enjoys her work but until the rebellion war occurred and this had caused her to panic, not able get her job done properly on the battlefield. Topaz secretly care for both sides, it was her duty to consider all gems. But to make perplexities worse Snowflake seem to neglect her role and join the Rebellious gems, she didn't tell Topaz and now she was lost in the cause. She couldn't go to White Diamond about all this because she fears Snowflake would be harm. Her role was to help any gem in need when going to war against the others. Since Topaz felt there were no other options she decided to abandon her post and vanquish off the star maps, she found an escape shuttle and 300 more years later, she found earth.

Appearance : Normally seen in a red cloak and a bandanna wrapped around his face. He has a black long-sleeve shirt beneath and tan pants. (Agate has lots of colors.) Sorry, I cannot provide a pic. I do have a drawing but there are some safety issues that I need to work out.


Personality :calmish and likes to speak in rhymes. He is not easily upset, but when he is, HE IS MAD


Bio: (Not Optional) An exceptional gem of blue diamond's court, he was sent to earth with some others to destroy the cry- oh sorry cosmic gems. They failed once, so two (Benitoite and Onyx) went back to report the mission results. the last three are agate and (Insert gem names here).


The first failure involved a bucket of paint, a hole through space-time, and two ancient hourglasses.

Agate can only have one type of weapon, so either the guns or the rapiers and if you don't mind, I'd really prefer a solid visual. Like a picture of something. It doesn't have to have been drown by you. His Gem does have to be in place somewhere though.


All of the things I've brought up are just alterations that need to be made so that you character is at least a little canon (Gem Lore Wise)

Pretty much. Although each gem has a specific use/or in homeworld society.
