  Welcome to Sail the Stars: Specks and Spells, a reboot/retake of a scifi rp I ran some time ago with the same name- Sail the Stars. This is a scifi fantasy rp with a semi-sandbox style space opera adventure as its main gig. There will be aliens, lasers, friendship, and explosions.
  
  Last time it was a space opera taking place in a pure technology based world. This is not a continuation of the same universe, however- it is a completely new universe in a completely new rp. To spice things up we decided to add some whimsical powers into play. Not only can you play a cyborg, now you can play a wizard cyborg!
  The loose lore is a thing too. While there will be pre-existing lore bits for some things such as humanity, you will be given the freedom to add on your very own intellectual species, megacorporations, factions and the such. Add some of your color to this chaotic canvas of a world, leave a mark.
  
  Our destination is yet again space. You will be sailing through the void from one place to another, cutting deals and making profit in whatever way you see fit. As you progress, you will interact with various different factions and gain reputations accordingly. Those ties will tangle on the further you go into your adventure. Make sure you choose wisely.

  The universe is full of magic and technology. Similar to technology, many intellectual species discovered, developed and utilized the whimsical powers in their own ways. Some melted it into their everyday life. Some used science as a catalyst to make weapons of war. You could say that the usage of these powers may represent some aspects of the civilization. You can make your own way of magic too, should you have what it takes.
  Even in a world of whimsical powers and magnificent technology, greed has found a way to take its place. Megacorporations that seize the lives of powerless people, tyrannical empires invading and slaying its neighbors, outlaws taking lives, and the such. The first batch of players(the ones during the first main story arc) will be none other but the receiving end of this oppression- they are ones in debt willingly or not by a loan shark company. With the nigh impossible amount of money they can pay, they are crammed up into a crew in a "Debt Salvation Program" to do dirty jobs. In return their name would be cleared of the debt, should they survive.
  (While the first crew starts out as a squad in debt, once the first story arc is over they will be free to roam.)

  Some rules/info:
  Vagabond Spectre and Verena are the co-gm's of this rp, please respect them.
  -Respect your fellow players, you are not the only hero of the story.
  -I'm looking for up to around 10 players maximum, as I don't find myself effective around too big groups.
  -Required post lengths will be a paragraph or two minimum, at least once a week would be fine. Let me or any co gm's know if you can't post.
  -The rp will have an ooc discord if everyone agrees.
  -World Lore won't be solid, but rather open for additions-you can introduce new alien species, megacorps, etc. Only some bits of the lore will be provided by the gm's.
  -You can have up to two characters active at once.
  -Combat will not use a specific dice system, but rather a semi turn based order where the players state their actions and I post out the results.
  
  These are the basics that you need to know, more rules regarding subjects like rp manners and character creation will be shown once we get the rp threads up.

While I'm really glad to see the RP return (and absolutely best of luck everyone, you'll all have great fun if you decide to sign up!) I am occupied with three RPs at the moment and don't wish to enter into any more. But thank you for letting me know, Verena, I appreciate the thought.

But I was mainly thinking cecaelia (octopus-people) or avians (bird-people), if they're not already existent.

If I remember correctly there was a person with a disturbing fascination with the ruling power of Germany during WW2 that routinely posted there symbol despite several warnings resulting in them being kicked out.
