Introduction
Hello there! I'm Shark2 and I've been roleplaying for roughly 8 years. Most of time was spent writing very basic one-liners, but two or three years ago I discovered literate roleplaying. Since I'll have plenty of spare time in the coming month, I've decided to give roleplaying another try.
I'd prefer if we did realistic roleplays. All I want is that everything should be plausible. Sure, fantasy scenarios should contain orks wizards; futuristic roleplays don't need super correct scientific explanations of the technology. All I ask is that they are plausible. This applies to the scenarios as well. I don't want to play a peasant boy that has superhuman monster-slaying abilities.
I'm quite lenient on the post length. As long as you get your message across, be it in one paragraph or five, it's fine. My own posts tend to be around 3 paragraphs, but this differs depending on your post's length and if I play several characters or not.
I'd like to discuss the scenario quite a bit before starting to make sure that we both understand, and I'd love if you took part in setting it up as well You don't need to come with hundreds of amazing ideas, just show some interest, so it doesn't feel like I'm trying to RP with a loaf of dry bread.
Doubling is okay with me if it adds something. There's no reason to have several characters for the sake of it rather than one well-written character. I can RP either gender.
Since a lot of people seem to want to do romance I'll have to mention it as well. There doesn't need to be any, but I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't take over the story. If we decide to do romance it has to be MxF. I don't want to offend anyone with this, it's just how I like it.
The location of RP doesn't really matter to me. I can do PM or posts. It's less likely that I'll RP off-site unless there's a good reason. If we do RP off-site it should still follow RPNation rules.
Scenarios
As I mentioned before, I want the scenarios to be plausible. Therefore I prefer to play hard sci-fi or low fantasy, preferably quite dark. I also quite enjoy post-apocalyptic scenarios. I'm quite flexible with this, so if you have any other settings you'd like to do, let me know! I will however not, under any circumstance, do slice of life roleplays. Modern RP's are still fine, as long as there's an interesting scenario.
I'd prefer not to do any fandoms. Worlds heavily inspired by games, books, etc, are fine, but not something set in them. There's only one exception to this, which is the Metro-series(2033 - 2035). I will only do OC's in this case.
