Character Details
Name: Geren Norz
Race: Human
Image:
1617853665565.png
Without his mask Geren is so unremarkable as to be practically invisible in the average crowd. He has dark brown hair, a surprisingly youthful face, and dark green eyes.
Age: Unknown
Religion: None. Geren has yet to find any deity or fiend worth pledging his allegiance to.
Politics: Geren cares little for politics unless it affects him personally.
Skills: Geren is skilled in stealth, infiltration, and has an uncanny knowledge of a variety of obscure subjects from the books he's read.

Equipment
Weapon (Main Hand): A sword that can be wielded one-handed or two-handed depending on the fighting style used.
Weapon (Offhand): A dagger.
Weapon (Ranged): Throwing spikes.
Armor: Mainly leather armor with metal put in wherever it wouldn't interfere with his freedom of movement.
Other: A variety of equipment for his work, including magical weapons and gear.
A bag of holding containing those items he doesn't immediately need, including his personal library. It's small enough for him to swallow if necessary.
A Decanter of Endless Beverages that can pour out any nonmagical nonalcoholic beverage.

Character Personality
Loves: Power, money, books.
Likes: Food, violence where he's in control of the fight.
Dislikes: Having to work harder than he has to, boredom, drinking alcohol, discomfort.
Hates: His freedom being infringed upon, when things don't go according to plan, humiliation, losing.
Biases: Geren envies the longer-lived races for their lifespans and an insult from one of them is enough for him to seek revenge. He views those born into power with contempt, especially those who take pride in their luck of birth.
Psychology: Geren's empathy only extends far enough for him to understand that other people don't have the same desires as him. From there he determines how that difference is likely to affect him and plans accordingly. His chief delights are reading, eating, and the feeling of exhilaration that comes from a one-sided fight or sudden kill.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Motivations: Geren wants more. More powerful equipment to enhance his abilities, more gold to spend on his desires, more books to read, more food to eat. And he wants more time to do it in. Geren desires immortality to indulge his desires for eternity, but has yet to find the means to seize it.

Character Biography
Affiliations: None.
Family: Unknown
History: Geren has been an assassin for hire for as long he can remember. A Ghost-Faced Killer, his abilities allow him to become invisible and even ethereal for short periods of time and his skill with a blade was such that he could kill with a single blow. But this was never enough for him. Chasing the legend of a sword that could grant it's wielder immortality he made his way to the city, where he had the bad luck to be set upon by slavers while he was sleeping. Having only enough time to swallow the Bag of Holding that contained his gear, Geren is biding his time until someone foolish enough to buy him appears. After that he plans to slay his would-be master and take bloody vengeance on every person who played a part in his enslavement.

Character Biography

Family: Father (Deceased); Mother (Deceased); Sister (Unknown); Brother (Deceased)

History: Taliman is a half-elf sorcerer with green dragon ancestry. His father was a royal diplomat and was assassinated by a group of anti-magi extremists en route to a diplomatic conference between his nation and the anti-magi nation. In this instance, Taliman became enraged and slaughtered the assassins with overwhelming arcana. The marks of emerald scale patches remain present across his body. As the years passed, he practiced his arts of diplomacy and dedicated his efforts to avenge his father against those truly responsible. He achieved this by performing an amazing act of prestidigitation coupled with a series of stunning bluffs to convince the major bank of the anti-magi kingdom that his cart riddled with masterful gemstones was genuine and authentic. He sold these gems, at cost of course. By day's end, he and his companions at the time were long gone. The gems reverted to rocks as the enchantment faded. Taliman managed to walk away with over 25,000 platinum coins worth of wealth and decimated the anti-magi kingdom's economy. To avoid their justice, which would be a death sentence, Taliman set sail across the far sea to the kingdom of Achuak Iejir.

Forgive me if the details of the skills and weaponry are incorrect, it’s been a hot minute since I did any D&D character building.

Character Details
Name: Vys, The Grassdancer
Title was given because of how she fails to disturb grass during her hunts, her movements fluid like a dancer of her kind. Not a well known or freely given title, just something she holds close to her heart, a memory of her past.

Race: Faun (deer variety)
Sub-race (if any): Fey?
Image (if any): Similar facial and body structure (not claiming the art or use of said art for this character) - - Elf like in stature, but on the shorter end around 4’ 10”, approx. 75 lbs (underweight at start of journey).
Pelt colors, antlers, and lower body modeled after fallow deer - https://trophyhunts.com/wp-content/...er-Trophy-Bucks-Hunting-packages-in-Texas.jpg
Retains antlers despite being female, though they are visibly smaller than males of her kind. Antlers are also cracked and broken; can be shed and regrown.
Fair skinned, slightly freckled face and shoulders; sports numerous bruises and scars on her skin, likely more hidden beneath her fur.
Youth-like, but hardened expressions; avoids eye contact when she can.
Ears are long like a regular deer and are very expressive; can often betray how she feels if she is not careful. They are ragged and torn, quick nicks suggesting the evasion of a blade, others appearing jagged and deliberately placed.
Hair is short, tousled and cut in an irregular manner that makes it stick up all over the place in false cowlicks; part of a cruel punishment from a previous owner who thought removing her long, beautiful hair was a good idea because she hid behind it so much. The majority of her hair is fawn-like in color. There’s a few white tufts throughout, much like her fallow-deer lower body. One would think they would create visible streaks if her hair was longer.
Eyes are a very vibrant green, but burn with an inner fire that hints at her unbroken spirit.
Age: Equivalent to a 19 year old human, but has a wisdom about her that makes her seem far older.
Religion (if any): Not religious. It is not to say she is against religions per say, but is more-so reverent towards nature and the natural world itself. Does however look down upon deities who promote madness and destruction and those who allow the hedonism of the world she thinks she lives in.
Politics (if any): Doesn’t completely understand the politics of the world, other than the fact she definitely doesn’t agree with it.
Skills: Lowlight vision, Survival, Hide, Move Silently, Listen, Spot, Knowledge (nature), Search

Equipment
Weapon (MainHand): Longsword (basic)
Weapon (OffHand): Short sword (basic)
Weapon (Ranged): Longbow (basic)
Armor: Studded leather, very basic and hardly fancy. Probably quite dirty on the regular.
Other: Backpack with waterskin, bedroll, flint and steel. Quiver with 20 (basic) arrows.
Animal Companion (eventually): An elf owl named Bones (named because he was found by her among a pile of Bones). Not used as a means of offense or defence, but rather used for communications and scouting. And because it’s cute and Vys loves him. He seems to be the only one Vys really cares out.
Languages: Common, Sylvan, Draconic
Favored enemy: Dragonkin

Character Personality
Loves: Animals, nature, forests and open plains. Freedom.
Likes: Music, singing, dancing, wine.
Dislikes: Massive amounts of people. The rich.
Hates: Scales and scaled beings (see biases below). Slavery.
Biases (if any): Has a vast distrust for scaled folk due to their heightened status and, as she perceives it, lack of care for those who are without scales. The bias goes so far as to make her uncomfortable even around scaled animals such as snakes, but she would never raise a hand to them, just simply ignore it. Because of this, she will need time to build a foundation of trust, which would usually end up being the beginning of a begrudging friendship, if one could call it that. Beings like Taliman leaves her a little confused, and that much more guarded, but oddly curious.
Psychology: Vys appears self absorbed, but this is mostly a defense mechanism. She doesn’t believe there are many in this realm she can trust (thus far, she has been subjected to all sorts of abuse), so she holds her cards close to her chest and doesn’t divulge any unnecessary information. With that said, it’s very hard for her to lie if asked specific questions. She typically stays quiet and nods or shakes her head to avoid real conversation though she yearns for companionship and someone to trust outside of Bones. Empathetic towards those in her situation however, and is more likely to open up to other slaves with similar mindsets than with individuals in higher standing.
Alignment: Neutral Good.
Motivation(s): Freedom, of course. She even desires to somehow free all slaves, having witnessed first hand what they go through. She also yearns to return to the Fey wilds, to her family, but only after she sees a change in the forbidden, cruel world she had stepped into.

Character Biography
Affiliations (if any):
Fey wilds
Family: Numerous, but none she would ever mention in her right mind. Her general answer is that she is an orphan in order to protect them should her captors return for more.
History: Lived happily within the feywilds until curiosity killed the cat. Or rather, curiosity got the faun captured. Examining and exiting one of the numerous ‘gates’ to and from the feywild had Vys exploring the ‘forbidden’ realm, convinced the name was just a fear tactic for children. She became the unfortunate victim of her own arrogance, swiftly captured by people who sought to sell her to others who would be very interested in someone as exotic as her.
She had no idea how desirable her kind was until she was sold for the very first time shortly after her capture. She was just as swiftly sold again when she nearly killed her master with his own blade, being handed to trainers who tried to literally beat her into submission.
Her own defiance and various retaliations had her sold over and over again, suffering numerous abuses from verbal to physical to psychological. She became hardened and angry, but continuous pains forced her to become cooperative for her own survival.
When the journey begins, she seems to be but a shell of her former self. Five years have passed since she was first captured. Practically starved, exhausted from long days of forced labor, one would think she had given up on life. Her emerald eyes however, bear a certain fire. There’s a strength that has yet to be extinguished. Buyers beware.

Age: 185
Religion (if any): In-transit from Lolth to Eilistraee

Languages: Undercommon, Elvish, Common, and Goblin

Equipment
(Note: most of original gear was destroyed or sold off for the novelty. Items with asterisk are things she’s going to pick up along the way.)

Armor: Chain shirt*
Shield: None.
Other: Small volume of Eilistraee’s teachings and holy symbol (smuggled in by Eilistraee’s followers). A parasol*

Character Personality
Loves: Moon light, the sea, freedom, dancing, and Eilistraee.
Likes: Spiced tea, singing, beetles, anatomy, hammocks, and animals.
Dislikes: the sun, spiders, dwarves, hypocrisy, bland food, and her family (save her sister).
Hates: Lolth, drider, mind flayers, and oppressive religions.
Biases (if any): Due to upbringing, tends to look down on other races and males. Working on it.
Psychology: Quoral projects the typical traits of a Drow Priestess of arrogance, cruelty, and vanity. This, however, is partly camouflage. After being thrust into Lolth's clergy, she was quickly became aware she wasn't as clever or powerful as a lot of her fellow priestesses. This developed into a potent form of Impostor Syndrome, making her constantly worried that her short comings would be used against her and her house. And with Lolth's promise to her devote being little more than "I'll kill you last", growing in power seemed to not bring any peace. This has left her a bit insecure and suspicious. With her coming to the surface, she has faced the concept of people and a deity that want to help her for nothing in return. This has left her confused, with a tiny spark of hope that there is actually something worthwhile in her and to live for.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (moving to Chaotic Good as time goes on)
Motivation(s): Learning more about Eilistraee, surviving the surface world, and reforming (later on).

Character Biography
Affiliations (if any): Church of Lolth (former), House Yntrani (former), Church of Eilistraee (moving towards)
Family: Maven (mother), Naemin (father), Zamir (brother), Baluk (brother, deceased), Xafina (sister).
History: House Yntrani was a mid-level House in the Drow city of Ched Nasad and had been for generations. This was accomplished by them cornering the market on livestock production and slaughtering, a role few houses wanted to take from them. While many matron mothers of the house accepted the lower status, but firm security, Maven Yntrani would not. She was determined to push her house up through the ranks into the Council of 8, and then through them to the top. But she needed Lolth's favor for that. Though a Priestess of the Spider Goddess, Maven was largely ignored by Lolth. So, she determined that it was in her children that she would place her faith. Lolth taunted Maven as her first born was a son. Her plans were further frustrated when her first daughter was found to be autistic. The child would have been killed if not for early signs of brilliance in enchantments and machinery, so Maven's husband Naemin manipulated the hot blooded Mother Matron to keep the child a secret and locked away. Her third child seemed to be a blessing from Lolth, a girl she named Quoral.
Quoral was early on groomed for life in Lolth's clergy. All of her mother's energies went into make sure she was perfect. But when she was sent to learn how to be a cleric of Lolth, she quickly learned that despite her mother's machination, she was an average student without the spark or cunning needed for the cutthroat politics of Drow high society. Quoral did her best to keep her head down and was ordained with little notice. She preformed adequately in the Spider Queen's service, thus was generally ignored for neither being a failure or a serious threat. That was, until a war with Mind Flayers.
In a dire time when a battle seemed lost, Lolth smiled on Quoral, granting her power enough to turn the tide. This made her an instant target for other priestesses and elated her mother. She tried her best to navigate the web of intrigue being weaved around her, but quickly realized that Lolth hadn't granted her favor for her devotion, but as a test and taunt to her more capably clerics. One such cleric named Marzanna began toying with Quoral, keeping her safe from other jealous priestesses as she pushed Quoral on, ensuring a more glorious fall from grace.
Feeling her time was running out, Quoral was given the honor of leading a raiding party to the surface. Marzanna came along with a frightening glint in her eye. The only person Quoral could remotely rely on was her younger brother Baluk, but that was of little comfort. The attack was on a elvish town and was doomed from the beginning. It was actually Marzanna's overconfidence that turned a poor plan of attack into an out and out slaughter for the dark elves. But the cunning cleric made sure to leave the slaughter early, ensuring only those loyal to her escaped. Knowing Marzanna would lay all the blame at her feet, Quoral tried to find another way out of this. As she tried to escape, she was confronted by a hooded figure wielding a sword. They fought, with Quoral disarmed and at her opponent's mercy. That's when the figure pulled down her hood to reveal she was a drow. She said to Quoral "A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow." Caught in the moon light, Quoral saw a silvery hand extend to her from the light, calling to her by name. The Sword Dancer she had fought explained it was the Goddess Eilistraee offering a better life out of the dark slavery of Lolth. Quoral was transfixed by the sight, but the moment was shattered when the Sword Dancer was attacked by some of her soldiers. Frightened and bewildered, Quoral ran from the battle into the dark night. She spent several days traveling along surface world, hiding while the sun beat down, each time she dreamed, she could hear Eilistraee sing to her. One night, she angrily tore off her vestments of Lolth, rejecting and curing the Spider Queen with all her strength. This got the attention of local slavers who pounced on the source of the noise. Without Lolth's power and little energy from her harrowing journey, Quoral was quickly captured. She has spent several weeks as a captive to be sold as a slave, a fate she had seen others go through many times before. But Eilistraee's songs still echoed in her dreams, giving her a strange sense of peace. A few days before her debut at the slave market, Quoral was slipped a small packet by a hooded figure, telling her to "stay strong, sister". Inside, she found a small volume from the church of Eilistraee and her holy symbol. With these items, she wonders if this was a sign of something good ahead of her...

But one day when he was sixteen at night time he stole armor and weapons from the armory (which he still uses to this day) and deserted his post, he then ran far away from his legion and they never saw him again. When he finally made it to a village people were very bigoted towards him because of his race, so he left, but everywhere he went he realized that not only did people hate hobgoblins, but that there was always some sort of law or ruler. When he turned 25 he had enough, so he decided to sneak into the guard embassy of several cities, and he would always threaten someone so they would get him training. Eventually when he was thirty years old, he had received training from seven city guard embassies. He finally had enough training to be ready to do what he believed was necessary, start a one man rebellion, for he knew people hated his kind, and nobody would join him. He has been fighting for six years and will not stop until he dies.
