- 0102030405homeHullo! I'm Ave. This is the beginning of my one-on-one roleplay partner search. This post covers the basics of me and my roleplaying, however the thread will contain posts regarding specific plots and characters I have in mind. More posts about specific plots will be added over time. For now, here's just some basics about me and my interests when it comes to roleplaying. Within this code are writing samples, fandoms I roleplay for, genres/tropes I enjoy, and more. Feel free to talk OOC with me! I like to know who I'm writing with and like plotting ahead or envisioning scenes for our characters. If you're interested in roleplaying with me, feel free to leave a reply in the thread or PM me!
I'm fine with roleplaying here or on Discord, so once we have a plot, you can let me know which you'd prefer.
- 0102030405writing sample“But…but we do things together,” Evan frowns, tugging slightly on her hand, “We’re…we’re Golden Freddy, remember?” Like she could forget. “The both of us. You can’t just…you can’t just leave. What…” his voice lowers to a whisper, “what about me?”
God, he’s going to start crying, again. Once he starts there’s no stopping…and then she starts crying, too! Ghosts shouldn’t be able to cry, especially not angry ones full of vengeance. But, as she braces herself for the onslaught of emotions to flood her mind…she realises they won’t be coming. There’s nothing connecting her to him anymore. Tears prickle at the backs of her eyes anyway. She already missed him. Between the two of them, Evan was the one who kept them both anchored. He’s the reason she hasn’t lost herself in her anger, reducing herself to nothing but an animalistic caste of who she used to be. She flooded their minds with anger, and he swept it out with hope. Reminded her to feel other emotions, too.
But…but nothing meets her anger, this time. Not his sadness, or his pleading, or even that flame of hope he always seems to carry. No, the only thing that met her anger was a cliffside, jutting out over an empty abyss, longing to be connected to the other side of the chasm once again.
A severed bond.
The realisation slowly dawns on Evan’s face. She watches as he pales, the grip on her hand relaxing, the black tear-stains becoming prominent once again. “Cassidy…”
She sniffs, swallowing down her own tears. This was for the best; Evan deserved to stay behind with his brother. He’s deserved that for a long time…Cassidy is the one who’s been holding him back, who’s been feeding his anger so he won’t leave. So he won’t move on. She still didn’t want him to leave…but it was for the best. It was!
So why did it hurt so much?
- 0102030405preferencesI tend to shy away from romance-driven roleplays. If the roleplay is plot focused, with romance on the side, I'm more open to it. When romance is involved, I prefer it to be LGBTQ+. As someone who identifies as queer, when it comes to romance, I prefer to play characters similar to me. Found family is my favourite dynamic to explore (whether it's sibling relationships or 'the parent they never had'), even if it's just a group huddled in the kitchen talking and other domestic scenes.
I prefer lengthier messages, in a writing format, as opposed to short messages with that format of *actions in italic* and dialogue plain text. Though I prefer longer posts, I am more than alright with shorter posts (still in writing format). I also know that post length can vary depending on what the characters are doing, so no pressure to write 3+ paragraphs when it's not necessary. This is all to say that I'm flexible when it comes to post length.
I'm 18, and would prefer to do one-on-one roleplays with someone in the age range of 16-22. (For group roleplays, I'm okay with any ages.) I'm not one for action-packed roleplays, but I do enjoy a balanced roleplay. The perfect combination of action, dialogue, exploration, etc.
- 0102030405fandomsA list of my fandoms and the characters I enjoy playing as! I'm usually up for playing any character, as I like pushing my limits with character-types, but I definitely have my favourites. This list is also fairly small, as I'm only in a handful of fandoms.
Five Night's at Freddy's I enjoy playing Cassidy/Vengeful Spirit, Elizabeth Afton/Circus Baby, Charlie Emily, and Michael Afton. I am open to playing pretty much anyone in any of the games, those are just who I prefer. A dynamic I very much love is Charlie and Michael teaming up, Cassidy and Evan (Crying Child) as they both possess Golden Freddy, and Happier AUs around the Afton Family. I don't really do ships in FNAF, but if it's a happier AU where they've all grown up, I can be swayed towards Elizabeth/Charlie.
DC (Comics) I'm currently very deep in reading DC comics, specifically around the Batfamily and the Wilson family (Deathstroke and his kids). I also very much love the Gotham Rogues, thought I'm not as well-versed in them as I am those previously mentioned. My go-to is Jason Todd or Rose Wilson, but I'm comfortable writing for any characters. Again, I don't do many ships, but my top for DC would have to be JayRose, DickKory, and BruTalia.
Other I have knowledge in Six of Crows/Grishaverse, Marvel (Cinematic and Comics), and the Owl House. I haven't ever roleplayed for these fandoms, and don't know how good I'll be at it, but I'd be willing to give it a try.
- 0102030405genres and tropesI'm a huge fan of science fiction and horror. I especially love when these two genres are combined—haunted space ships, murderous AI, creepy aliens...I love it all! Other than that, I'm open to playing most any genre, save for fantasy. I don't exactly have a reason, fantasy is just difficult for me to enjoy, so I'd rather stay away from it when possible.
When roleplaying science-fiction, I gravitate towards non-human characters. Androids in particular are my favourite to play as. In the horror genre, I enjoy playing the character who is convinced the entire thing is a dream and evenutally snaps and unleashes their anger at whatever is nearest because this should not be happening.
I love the found family trope, especially when the found family consists of outcasts, misfits, and criminals. I also deeply enjoy the trope where an AI fights back against his programming. (For example, an AI is designed to kill, but doesn't want to, and comes to the realisation that they can simply override their code.) I'm very open to any trope, those are just some of my favourites!
