Realistic or Modern Cleartown High

He laughs at her excitement, then grins, "Of course she wouldn't mind, and she's out tonight anyway." He wasn't suggesting anything, he was just stating the truth. He pushed his hair out of his eyes again and put one hand in his pocket.

Leah pulls her phone from her back pocket and sends her grandmother a quick text. "You know, some parents would freak out if their kid texted them and said that they were going over to their friend Nick's house." She laughs. "Lead the way, love." She says, a small smile showing up on her face.

"I suppose even more so if they knew the whole of it," he smiles and starts walking the opposite direction to Leah's house, across a large field. It wouldn't take them too long to get there. "Its a mess, by the way, my erm, trailer." He had to warn her, the whole place was mismatched and cluttered with items and photographs, and the place stank of incense. When they neared a large lake on their right, he knew he was nearly there. Last week he had been so tempted to swim in that lake, but he didn't know if anyone would see him, so he didn't. They neared a bunch of trees, and he smiled, home. They went through a gap in the trees which he used as an archway, and the trailer came into view. It was sort of large for a trailer, but still small. It was an off shade of blue, with shutters and outside there was a hammock, a large coffee table, and some beer bottles littered around. If he had known he'd have guests he would have at least tidied up a bit.

As Nick leads her she stares around mesmerized, she loved the outdoors, the trees the sound of birds. She especially loved to climb the trees and hang upside down on them, every once in a while she'd sleep in a tree. "It's so pretty here." She says as she heaves a satisfied sigh. "You're so lucky to get to live so close to the wilderness." She smiles when they get to his trailer, she liked it. It was odd, like him, but she loved odd things. "Oh, and don't worry about a mess, trust me if you saw my room you'd think a tornado went off." She jokes, it was true, but then again what teenager had a perfectly tidy room?

((Btw I started watching Hemlock Grove today :3))

(Omg! I love Peter yay! I'm happy you're watching it :) )

"I suppose I am lucky," he smiles and walks towards his front door, he opens it slowly, it creaks, and he steps inside, holding it open for Leah. There's a sitting area, a sofa and a clashing rug, a coffee table, a small tv, and an incense burner. Origami birds hang from the ceiling, pictures of Nick and his family on the walls. Strange objects all over the shelves and the coffee table, some even Nikoli didn't understand. There was a bookshelf overflowing with books and photo albums, and a little further away a small round dining table on it next to the dull kitchen, thankfully his mother had done the dishes but it was still a mess, bottles all over the surfaces and a strange spider in the sink. There was a little hallway that lead to Nicks room, and his mothers, then the bathroom. "It's not much, but its home."

Leah smiles at her surroundings. "All of this stuff, it's so.. Unique." She says happily, she'd never been somewhere this different before, and she liked it. She stopped smiling however, when she saw the spider. "oh my god, is that a spider?" She asks, her face instantly turning white. "I hate spiders." She says and hides behind Nick.

((It's so good so far xD ))

Nick laughs and walks over to the sink quickly, picking up the spider gently. He walks over to the door and puts the spider on the grass, before shutting the door. "How can you hate spiders? They're tiny!" He laughs and moves over to a small CD player in the corner of the room, he sits down and looks at his CD's sighing. He really wanted an iPod, he could have whatever song he wanted then, but he couldn't afford one. He puts on a playlist that his cousin (not Destiny) had made him, the song green sea by fear of men starts playing in the room quietly. He looks up at Leah. "See, we're no different to normal people." He smiles. "But if you got questions, shoot." He stands up and walks over to the fridge, "want a drink?"

"Um, have you ever looked at a spider with a microscope? Yeah, they're not so tiny then." She says, sticking her tongue out at him. When he starts playing music she smiles, it sounded like a great song. "Sure, what'cha got?" She asks, then sits down on the couch.

He opens the fridge wider so that she can see all the drinks and the small amount of food that they have. "Technically if you look at anything under a microscope it's not tiny, so that doesn't count," he laughs and leans against the fridge while he waits for her to decide. He grabs himself a beer. He'd been allowed to drink since he was eleven, when his grandfather had clapped him on the back and said 'You're a man now, Koli.' He'd always found it strange that instead of just calling him Nick, he took the last part of his name instead.

"Well, my grandfather is obsessed with arachnids, I kinda stopped liking bugs after I took a look at one." She says, and taps her chin with her index finger. "Water is fine." She says. "Plus, some spiders are extremely poisonous, like black widows." She says, crossing her arms at him.

"But a lot of spiders are harmless," he points out, getting her some water and shutting the fridge. He gives her the glass. "Technically a lot of animals are poisonous. Frogs, snakes, some fish, some birds too apparently." He sits down on the sofa and grins at her.

She takes a drink of the water, then purses her lips. "Touche." She says, giving up. "You're not making this very fair for me." Her tongue sticks out a bit again and she puts the water down on the coffee table. "So, what do you and your mom do around here?"

((So it's like five in the morning here >.< I do believe it is time for me to sleep, good night/morning))

"We just do normal stuff, people stuff. Watch TV, cook dinner, you know." He smiles. "Linda does most of the cooking though, and cleaning, it's sort of our peoples way. The women do stuff... But I help out best I can, she just won't let me." He laughs a little.

(goodnight! Technically good morning for me seen as its 11am here! Goodnight tho! :3)

"That's sort of how it is at my house, my grandpa is very old fashioned. So grandma and I are the ones who do most of the cleaning and stuff. He goes out and 'works'. He's been retired for five years but he refuses to stop working on things." She says, then takes a drink of her water. She then reaches into her bag and pulls out the book she got from Destiny. "The Book Of Dreams." She says, and looks down at the cover.

Nick laughs and scoots over so he can see the book more clearly. He'd seen a whole manner of books in Destiny's shop, and he could never really remember the specific ones, so this one didn't surprise him that it was old and dusty, probably never used. "Why the book of dreams then?" He asks her looking at the pages sceptically. His mother had once made him keep a book of dreams, his friends and family of the camps telling him that dreams were very important. And to a gypsy, they were, but why to Leah?

She looks up from the cover to smile at Nick, then looks back down quickly. "Well, I want to see what my dreams mean. I've been having weird ones lately." She says, then opens the book to the first page. "My loved ones dying. My dead relatives coming back to life. I once dreamed that I had a mother and father, but my mother didn't want me." She says, skimming through the page.

"Why would your mother not want you?" He asks, family is important to gypsies, in the building of a house, the cement is what holds it together, and to gypsies the family were the cement. He suddenly has a pang of guilt asking such a personal question to Leah about her mother, and reminds himself that it could be considered rude or could make her upset, but having a father who didn't want to see their child because he didn't want a gypsy life made him curious about other people and why they weren't wanted. It was stupid, but it was true.

Ashton sighs softly and quickly pays for her fries and milkshake before standing up and getting ready to leave the diner.

Leah bites her bottom lip and snaps the book shut, she felt some tears welling up in her eyes but she pushes them back. She doesn't cry over things so petty. "Uh," She starts but her voice cracks, "Well, my sperm donor raped her." She says, and sighs as a tear falls down her face. She quickly wipes it away. "I shouldn't have said anything about it." She says, then puts the book back in her bag. "At least I have my grandparents."

Nick mentally punches himself in the face, he shouldn't have asked, he really shouldn't. He could see how much this was affecting her, how much she was torn up over this, and rightly so. He didn't know what to do, how to act, what to say, everything he could possibly think of would make things worse probably. After a short silence he wraps his arm round her shoulder and gives it a gentle squeeze, before moving back to his normal sitting position. "At least you have them," he repeats after her, looking down at the floor trying to think of something to lighten the mood. He cant think of anything, but it's okay, because he can hear footsteps coming to the front door, and it opens, and a short woman with long black hair steps into the room, dressed in jeans and a flowy black shirt. Linda. The resemblance is extreme.

Leah smiles at Nick, she felt like she could be herself around him, which is good because she can't be herself around a lot of people. She may seem like a loud jokester on the outside but she's torn on the inside. She hugs her knees to her chest, rests her chin on them. She was about to say something, but when the lady walks in her mouth snaps into a kind smile. She was pretty, she looked like Nick, or was it Nick looked like her? Either way.

Linda looked from Nick to Leah, confused, but a smile plays on her lips, she beckons Nick over and he comes as though she's his master, obediently and quickly. They exchange a few sentences in Romanian, "Mă bucur să te văd miere, cine e fata?" Linda asks Nikoli, to which he replies; "Leah, ea e prietena mea de la școală, nu se sperie-o," his Romanian fluent and it came from his mouth as though the words were dancing on his tongue. Linda nods and laughs a little before she looks to Leah, "Have you had anything to eat tonight sweetheart?" She asks, moving over to the fridge, whereas Nick moves back over to the couch.

Leah's shy side immediately kicked in when they started talking in a different language. "Oh, uh, don't worry about me, ma'am. I had half a granola bar for lunch, and a milkshake not to long ago." She says, honestly she had eaten more than she usually does that day. She then puts her feet back on the floor and clasps her hands together on her lap, her grandma had always taught her to do that, something about manners.

Linda's eyes widen and she looks at Leah like she has free heads. "You eat so little, do you not want more?" Her eyes go to Nick who grins and points to his stomach, to which his mother just rolls her eyes and chucks him a leaflet for a Chinese place. He groans and puts the leaflet on the table. "We've eaten Chinese for the last three days," he complains, but shuts up as his mother glares at him.

"Take Leah to your room, I do not want to see you." She laughs and shoos him while turning on the Tv, and nick stands up, offering Leah a hand.

"I don't really eat very much. I guess my stomach is smaller than others." She says, then chuckles at Nick's complaining. She then happily takes the hand that Nick offers her and smiles at his mother. "It's very kind of you to offer, thank you."
