Realistic or Modern Cleartown High

Destiny looks at it, nods, and smiles. "Yeah sure, I don't think I've used that book in years." She turns her attention back to Nick who has now got his eyes closed and has picked a card from the spread out deck and put it in front of destiny. He opens his eyes as she turns it over, and he frowns. Destiny looks at it and then back up at him, "Your card is Death," she states.

Ashton pulls out her phone when she feels it vibrate. She looks at who texted her and rolls her eyes slightly. She types a quick reply to her mom.

Leah glances at the card, then at Nick. Her head tilts slightly to the side as she bites her lip. "Hm. Those things aren't accurate, are they?" She asks, a tone of worry breaking through. She had to admit, she wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her new friend.

Destiny laughs and shuffles her deck of tarot cards; while Nick smiles at Leah. He messes with his rings and stands up, looking down at her. "Death cards are actually not as bad as you think." He says, "the card indicates transition and change." He shrugs his shoulders, he'd grew up with this kind of thing. He looks at the book that she has in her hands and wonders what it's about before a young couple walk into Destiny's shop, asking about a palm reading. She smiles; says goodbye to Nick and Leah, then guides the couple into another room through the beaded door.

Leah smiles at Nick then waves a goodbye to Destiny. "Well, we still have," She pauses and checks her watch "twenty minutes before we have to meet them at the arcade. Do you want to do something else or go ahead to the arcade?" She asks as she closes the book and puts it in her bag. "We could go get some ice cream."

Ashton continues to eat her fries and she leans back in her seat, closing her eyes. After a few moments she opens them again and asks for a chocolate milkshake.

"Ice cream sounds good." Nick nods his head, he hadn't had ice cream in a long time, having just never found time for it. He picks up his bag from the floor and drapes it over his shoulder before walking towards the door and holding it open for Leah:

A toothy grin shows up on Leah's face as she walks out of the door. She then waits for Nick to come out and she starts laughing. "You're quite the gentleman." She says playfully bumping into him with her shoulder, then she bites her lip. "There's a pretty good ice cream parlor down the street a bit." She says, pointing the way. "Lucky's Eye Cream. I know, another stupid name, but it's quite true. Lucky only has one eye, don't worry he doesn't make the ice cream." She says, laughing a bit. Lucky was her uncle, so she usually got ice cream for free.

Nick let the door shut behind them and grinned, starting to walk in the direction that Leah had pointed him. "I have to have one redeemable trait for being a gypsy, so being a gentleman has to be it." He laughed a little at the name of the ice cream parlour and the fact that the guy only had one eye, and curiosity got the better of him. "How did he loose the eye?"

"Oh, please. Your cousin seemed perfectly friendly." She says, then pushes the hair out of her eyes. "Lucky likes to make things up, so he mainly tells everybody that he was in the war and the enemy scooped out his eye with an ice cream scooper, but trust me that didn't happen." She says, laughing at the thought of the old man. "Nope, it was actually a very bad mishap he and his friend had when they were playing darts. Let's just say... Uncle Lucky trusted his friend a bit to much."

The image of a guy getting his eye scooped out by an ice cream scooper was replaced by someone throwing a dart at it, which one was funnier Nick didn't know, but he laughed because both were funny. "Right, okay then," he laughs and pushes some of his hair out if his eyes again. He really needed to get it cut, or make it stay in the same place, it seemed that every two minutes he was removing his hair from his eyes.

"Maybe you should try hairspray." She says, noticing how many times he'd fuss with his hair. She then sees the ice cream parlor, so she smirks and jumps in front of Nick, opening the door for him and bowing slightly. "After you." She says trying to keep herself from laughing, she wasn't very worried about that Reese nonsense anymore.

"Maybe I will," Nick said and he pretended to curtsy when she opened the door and laughed, walking into the ice cream parlour. The second he walked in people began to look at him, not just because he had curtsied, but because they knew who he was. What he was. He turned back to Leah, slightly uncomfortable with mothers whispering for their kids to stay away from him, old people tutting at him, cursing 'his kind'.

Leah crosses her arms and walks inside of the parlor. She opens her mouth to say something but before she can she hears her uncle's raspy voice. "Right everyone! Back to your ice cream, if you don't finish it I'll put me other eye in yer next one!" He calls, and the people in the parlor go back to their business. Leah smiles at her uncle, then looks back at Nick noticing how he felt. She walks up to him and grabs his hand, before pulling him towards the bar where Lucky stood there smiling wide. "Uncle Rodrick." She says, and Lucky rolls his eye. "Didn't I tell ya? Call me Lucky." He says, his slight Irish accent showing through. "I'll take an oreo milkshake."

Nick was grateful that Lucky had stepped in like that but he could fight his own battles, it was slightly embarrassing. He smiled though, and his stomach did a flip at the contact between him and Leah, he pulled his hand back when she let go and stuffed it in his pocket, smiling slightly. "I'll have one too."

Lucky nods and orders one of his workers to make the shakes. "So who's your friend?" Lucky asks, adjusting his eye patch and raising his eyebrow. "This is my friend Nick. He just moved here with his mom." Leah says smiling at Nick, then turning her attention to the milkshake that the worker had put in front of her. "Thanks." She whispers. Lucky grabs Nick's milkshake from the worker and gives Nick a crooked smile. "Well, welcome. It's on the house." Lucky says as he sits the milkshake down in front of the new boy.

"Thanks," Nick smiles, but he cant help by think that Lucky wants him to get out of his shop, stay away from his niece, and go back to being trailer trash. He tries to push these thoughts from his head but he cant, he sits through the thoughts anyway. He'd never acted on these kind of thoughts before, now wouldn't be any different. He takes a sip of the milkshake and instantly it feels like he's in heaven it was so good. He tries to sit properly, not slouching when he does at home, but realises that he should be proud of where he's come from, who he is, and just let's himself slouch, no reason for him to forget who he is over a milkshake. He smiles at Leah.

"Hey Uncle. We're going to have to take this to go. We have to meet some friends soon." Leah says, to be honest they still had a few minutes but she saw the smile Lucky gave Nick and she didn't like it. She pulls a few dollars from her bag to tip him, then hops from the stool she was sat on. "Come on, Nick." She says, nodding her head towards the door.

Nick stands up and walks with Leah towards the door, when outside he kicks a stone with a lot more force than he thought he would, anger shooting through him. The stone hits a passing car, and Nick turns away quickly. He looks at Leah, hoping she didn't see that.

"I'm so sorry Nick." She says, as she watches the angry driver flip them off. She felt bad about the way her uncle had treated him, it wasn't right, and she thought Lucky knew that. "I thought Lucky would be different, but I guess he's like the others in this stupid, mainstream town!" She says a bit loudly, but she didn't care. She was pissed off, and she wanted people to know.

Nikoli shrugs, still angry but contained, it wasn't Leah's fault that everyone treat him like scum, and he wouldn't take it out on her. He guessed that he would be treat like this from the minute he rolled into town. "It's really fine, but I think I'm just gonna go home. It's not like the arcade is going to be any different, the people there will just be wondering how long it will take me to start smashing the place up." He chews the inside of his cheek, shifting his weight to one foot.

"I understand, I'm not really in the mood for games anymore." She glances in the direction of her house and smiles back at Nick. "I'll see you tomorrow?" She asks, then bites her lip. She still felt bad about how the people had treated him. She didn't really wait for his answer, instead she gives him a hug, as she does to all those close to her. She then gives a quiet yawn, that sounded oddly like a cat's meow. "I wish people would be more accepting of different people, it's not fair."

He nods, "I wish too, see you tomorrow." He smiles, a little taken aback by her hug but accepting of it non the less. He looks down at her and yawns also, damn those things are contagious. Laughing, he looks down at her. He begins to walk away, waving slightly, before he stops himself. "If you really want to know more about gypsies, you can always come over you know." He looks at her and smiles his usual friendly smile, his fingers absentmindedly twisting his rings around.

"Really?" She asks, a bit to excitedly, but she quickly calms herself down. "You don't think your mom would mind?" She says, pushing her hair from her face and smiling at him.
