Super Pets Other Information:
Procedure:
- The 'base' is the term for the species/breed of the mother. Super Pets are not 'test tube babies'. They come from a live animal that has been genetically altered to be able to produce/birth the fertilized eggs put inside of her. Each litter contains 3 that is put into her uterus, 3 are put in because of the chance of stillbirth and giving more 'coat pattern and color options' for the customer. The one(s) not contracted from that litter are picked through by the government, used for experimentation or are disposed of. The Super Pets are the eggs taken from their birth mother and are altered from that point with the company's specific DNA strands then the fertilized, altered, eggs are put back in. It is key that the eggs come from the same animal that the eggs have a DNA linkage too in order to take out other unknown possible variables in the outcome ( such as major deformities, major health problems, aggressive temperaments, etc. ). Another reason why it would be hard to truly mass produce Super Pets, effectively, since it has to be from an animal that can survive being genetically altered and make it to adulthood along with pass certain testing for their temperament ( for both the mother and the sire ).
- Feline Super Pets contain DNA of cat, human and some dog. The canine DNA was inserted in attempt to make them more easily trainable/obedient.
- The Super Pet stays at the facility until it can pass all of the initial classes ( regardless on how long it may take them to pass ), from that point it goes home with its owner and has to come back monthly to renew its class certificate with its owner ( or respective guardian 'step-in' ). ( for 'residential owners' )
- For companies buying Super Pets for simple jobs those Super Pets take on specialty training pertaining to what they were preordered to do. Depending on what the 'specialties' they are required for depends on how frequently they are to come in to renew their certificate.
Info on Super Pets:
Lifespan:
General Appearance: colors, general body shape and coat lengths types and patterns (etc.) all come from what breed/species what their 'base' is. Ex. A Canis Beagle breed Super Pet cold only have the coat type, length, pattern and colors that pertain to the regular Beagle breed.
General Height Range: All Super Pets' height is just within few inches of their base counterparts. Ex. A Canis Beagle breed Super Pet would be no more than 5 inches taller ( on all fours ) than their base. Same would go for a German Shepherd which would make the two Super Pets differ in height, the Beagle bred shorter than the German Shepherd bred. Same goes for any species/type of Super Pet. There are NO 'massive' or 'tall' Super Pets for their relative base.
General Inherit Abilities: Depends on the base species. If the base was a feline then all typical cat abilities apply ( can vary slightly for breed of cat ), if the base was a canine then all dog abilities apply ( can vary slightly for breed of dog ). Same would go for any other future Super Pet species produced for their respective base.
'Frowned Upon' Breeds:
Canine: Pitbull, Rottweiler, Great Dane, Doberman Pinscher, Mutts,
Feline: Bengal, Maine Coon,
Plot 'Terms':
Base: A general term used for what species and breed the Super Pet is derived from; The Super Pet's biological dam/mother.
Sire: The Super Pet's sperm donor.
'Frowned Upon' Breeds: Any breed deemed by the government to be 'harder to handle by civilians' for various reasons ranging from that base breeds' general temperament tendencies to general size. 'Frowned Upon' Breeds will not be 'okayed' to be produced by government owned companies/laboratories.
