So I actually had this idea a long time ago when I read the manga 'Cirque Du Freak' and wanted to make a roleplay based off of it^^ I knows there are quite alot of circus roleplays but i'm willing to try!
In the soft autumn breeze, in the town of Everfall, the children and young adults are buzzing around about the new attraction coming this weekend. Flyers are posted everywhere around town wherever you walk. You are a resident of Everfall, not much special about you. You went to school. You had some friends, maybe an enemy every once in a while. Like all the other neighborhood kids, you wanted to see the new circus.
You tred along a busling part of town, you manage to steer clear of most people, but you eventually run into someone in a large oversized coat. The coat had a hoodie and was very long, covering most of the body except for some sandaled feet at the bottom. Before you could say anything, this mysterious person shoves a flyer in your hands. "Come and see The Circus of Freaks." The figure whispers and disappears into the crowd.
You hold up the parchment. It was quite fancy, and read:
"CIRQUE DU PHENOMENON: THE CIRCUS OF FREAKS"
Come one! Come all! To the newest and most astonishing show there is! There are half-man-half-beasts! Rarest of the rare creatures! Acts you will never ever see witness again in your life! The show will completely boggle your mind, and you might even lose it! See these amazing phenomenons in person at the show!
Showtimes: 18 AND OVER ONLY
Saturday-Sunday

You knew you weren't 18, or maybe you were? Maybe older? No matter your age, you definately wanted to see the show. If you were in the right age, you could get in easily. But if you were kinda bit on the younger side, things would get complicated.
Whatever you did, you're in. There are hundreds of people sitting in the seats. You feel a sudden rush. The show begins to start. You hold your breath.
There are dozens of amazing acts. There is the snake-boy, the elastic girl, the girl who can shift into a roaring lion, a man who can cut up his limbs! The foot-long tongued man! The double-headed panther! The man who can take out his eyes! Indeed, each act was even more gruesome than the one before, but you couldn't control your eyes. They were glued to the arena below you.
And then the final act.
Man who calls himself "Oz the Necromancer" this outta be good.
The man rose his knife, stabbing the Barking Cat, ripping it in two. The entire crowd gasps. He lifted a tattooed hand into the air, swirling it in a mass of dark energy, then Oz plummeted his hand into the Barking Cat. The can-line stood still, then stood up, eye sockets gushing from leftover injuries, foaming at the mouth. The mass went absolutely wild. It roared in applause. Then Oz took a bow, announcing: "Thank you for witnessing Cirque Du Phenomenon. Hope you still have your head!" then the show ended.
When you walked out onto the streets, you see Oz again. He has a sweet smile and you introduce yourself. Having interest in knowing more about the show and its cast, Oz gives you the chance to meet them. You jump up straight to the opportunity. He takes you into the tent through a different door, but then the world went black.
Waking up, you see Ozwald's sneering face, a sickening grin," Good morning. How about you see your NEWER and BETTER self, hm?" he shows you a mirror, and you are comepletely different than what you used to be. "I see we have a new member to the CIRCUS OF FREAKS!" he thundered.
By the way, Evra was the one who handed you the flyer. Just sayin~

Story: Ozwald was born into a rich family. His father owned a large company, but his mother was very ill. To entertain himself, Oz would practice magic tricks and show them off to the workers that served the Malefica household. Then his loving mother died of her disease, Oz was broken. He secretly obtained a book on dark magic, studying it enough until the point of which he thought he could bring his mother back to life. He failed and accidently revived a half-dead version of his mom, twisted and foaming at the mouth. When his father's company failed, Ozwald's family was thrown into poverty. To bring up the family, Oz got a medical degree and learned advanced surgery at the age of 20. Though he never enhanced his career, for Oz still had a great love for magic. Twisted in the mind, he started the insane circus of Cirque Du Phenomenon.
Act: Oz would kill an animal, before bringing it back to life as a zombie-like creature
Other: Oz uses his skills as a surgeon to deform his patients. He does this in order to keep the circus running, because he fears it might fall like his dad's company.

Story: Evra was born on the streets with his sister and a small pet snake. They never really knew their parents, for they were simply poor children. When the circus came to Manhattan, he and his sister snuck in and witnessed the show. Only Evra was captured, and his sister managed to escape. Oz killed his snake friend and infused its DNA into Evra, giving him a snake tail on his bottom, unlike most snake-people where their tails cover half their body. While in the painstaking process of surgery, Evra didn't resist. He didn't have anything much to live for except his sister, who was safe. In his first show, Evra was forced to capture his sister by the command of Ozwald Malefica. He gained the ability to generate "shadow snakes" from his mouth, hands, feet, and tip of tail. The shadow snakes were reptilian-like globs of shadow, who can attack and are physical like real snakes.
Act: Evra would come out of a snake basket, then perform an elaborate "black dance" with his shadow snakes
Other: a generally innocent boy on the outside, but is actually very empty and hollow on the inside. Has a sister named Alice.

Story: Alice lived with her brother on the streets, then saw him being taken with her very eyes. When she was born, Alice had the ability to control dolls and control willing or weak people. Her parents thought she was cursed and threw them on the streets at a young age. Evra was the only one that helped her. After her brother being taken, she tried to get him back but was also dragged into the circus. Ozwald replaced parts of her body with that of a dolls' body. She shuts herself away from everyone except Evra, usually surrounding herself with "creepy" dolls or adorable stuffed animals. She has the power to take over someone's mind if either they let her, or are extremely unstable. (verge of suicide)
Act: Alice would call upon a volunteer from the audience, then take control of their body and do various tricks while possessing them.
Other: She is willing to trust anyone who doesn't hurt her. Has a brother named Evra.
