.w. Just letting ya know

@Aqua

The only chaos of noise the Bat Lady welcomed were the cheers of her audience as she walked up onto her little stage. Though she had no sight, the sounds were enough to show her what was there: the faces of the crowd, some smiling, some solemn, some in absolute awe...

Click click, her tongue went against the roof of her mouth. The crowd fell quiet. She released a few notes, low and sweet. Then she launched herself into her song, eerie and slow, singing two different registers at a time, both the melody and the harmony. The accordion player kept pace in the corner of the stage, da~da~da~daaaa, it went.

When the song was over, they cheered like they always did. The Bat Lady took a bow and left the stage. As they started dispersing, she turned to Tomoko. They recruited her a little over a year ago; Medusa was her stage name. Though she couldn't turn anyone to stone, she could move her hair. She could feel Tomoko's form as she raised her straight black locks mystically through the air.

"Wonderful show, my dear," crooned the Circus Master. Henrietta clicked her response, eyes still on the Medusa's crowd. "What is it, my dear."

"A boy," she said. "No, a cat." She pointed to the edge of the crowd where a pair of golden ears were perked up intently.

Len was watching with amazement at the circus there were freaks acrobats everything there he just loved it he gave a

little *nyaa* in the middl of the show which made people stare at him for it but they forgot that and watched the show when a girl came on she started singing and it was beautiful. After the show was over Len was happy he ran to the circus for the show and his tail was everywhere and his ears were perked high to but he tried to put them down and tried to leave but everyone was blocking the way so he couldn't leave so,he stayed behind and started to play with his tail like he does when he gets bored.

Srry feel asleep. *nyaa*

People were dispersing. The sun was getting low in the sky. Soon, all that would be left were the carnies.

Nadine hopped off from a nearby stage. "Well would you look at that. A cat," she whistled. Her single eye blinked in amusement as the blonde cat-boy rolled around on the ground.

Henrietta had been making her rounds, and several times she had passed the boy. "People probably started thinking he's one of our own," she remarked stoically. By now the circus-goers have dwindled down; the last one was leaving through the make-shift gate, holding a black-white-and-red balloon in her hand. "Hey boy," she called, her voice sweet as honey and hard as ice; it was how she normally addressed people. "Show's over. We're closing up. What are you still doing here?

[it's cool c:]

Len was playing around when people were leaving and kinda got to into it and started rolling and running around intake stands like it was a playground he didn't see all the people talking and staring at him because when he plays he has a one track mind, and all of a sudden some one called out to him asking why he is still here and looked around to a woman with a ballon inches hands she wasn't that older to him it looks but do to his child like body and behavior it probably seemed like he was 6 and he said to the girl "did everyone leave I was just playing until they left and I think I got to into it again." He said scratching his head and smiling.

Henrietta clicked mindlessly as he talked; an old habit of hers. She liked knowing what the other people are doing, and it's not always easy judging expressions just by listening to the other person's voice. She twitched.

"Are you going or not, kid? We're a circus; we've got things to do and shows to run," she said.

"Now now, Henri, you're going to scare the boy," said Morgan, putting a hand on Henrietta's shoulder. "What's your name kid? What are you still doing here so late, hmm?"

Len looked at the girl while she was talking and was a little offended but was side tracked by his tail and he starts to play with it but was snapped out of it when some one else came over asking for his name and Len said "my name is kegamin Len nice to meet you" he said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Len. Apologies, Henri just takes a while to warm up to people." Henrietta crossed her arms at this. "What are you still doing here, Len? You best get going home, unless of course you've come to stay with us. I'm sure you'd make a lovely performer," she said.

Nadine wriggled her fingers behind Morgan. "Can I pet him?' she asked, "Can I??"

Len fidgeted when the man said home and Len said "I have no home I lived with cats most of my life" he said with a smile and scratched his head saying to Nadine "I don't mind if you do after all I am a cat and I love to be handled a lot" Len said while laughing a little.

Nadine gave a little squeal. She knelt down and scratched Len behind the ears. Henrietta clicked her tongue.

"Oh come on, Henri, lighten up. He's sweet! Look," she said, running her fingers through his silken fur (or hair??)

"Don't take it personally, my boy. Henri will surely be a lot friendlier as time goes by, right Henri?" said Morgan, turning to Henrietta, smiling yet radiating an air of authority. Henrietta clicked her tongue again. Morgan turned back to Len. "You're welcome to stay with us for as long as you want. We'll be going to all kinds of different places. Paris, Rome, Berlin, London! All around the world!"

"We're moving the day after tomorrow," Nadine said. "We always have this bonfire party kind of thing the night before we move. There'll be music and dancing and singing and food! The food..,"she said dreamily. "Mr Kandinsky makes the best blueberry cheesecake!"

"So Len, what do ya say?" Morgan asked, extending a hand to him.

As Nadine came and started petting Len and got behimd the ears Len felt like a cat again and *nyaa* and looked at Morgan talking to him and said "it's okay I don't mind, she can take as long as she wants lightening up to me" he said with a smile of pure innocence. And his eyes widened as Morgan said he could stayed and said "could I I would love to go to all those places my mothers from Paris and I have this wierd trick to where I can turn into this person that comes from there I don't know if that's suppose to be me or not..." Len stopped and listened to the what Nadine said saying "really the day after tomorrow that's pretty fast and your having a bonfire to with sweets" at the mention of sweets lens eyes glowed with excitement "and said sure I'll come to the bonfire as long as there are sweets and milk"he said laughing a little and shook Morgan's hand saying "deal!"

The next morning, Henrietta required a lot more coaxing than usual (and usually, she'd require none at all) to get onstage and sing for her crowd. She was being rather difficult today. Morgan had given Len his own little area in one of the corners of the circus 'plaza' where people could watch him just... be him, basically. Morgan even gave him a costume for crying out loud, thought Henrietta. He had demanded that the costume be finished first thing in the morning. The seamstresses, of course, obliged.

Henrietta watched from behind her stage, or more accurately, listened. Mostly, he just went around being a cat. Sometimes Ellaenna (the circus tamer) would come by and assist Len in doing a little performance number. He even sang. Henrietta crossed her arms and twisted her red lips into a frown. Nadine came and gave her a hard pat on the shoulder. Henrietta wheezed. "Nadine! Jesus..."

"Y'know you won't get your weekly pay if you don't get up there, Henri," she said. "Don't waste so much time staring at Len."

"I can't stare," she said curtly, her brows furrowed. She got up on stage to get it over with.
