Hello everyone! This is my first post on these boards. I found my way here because I'm interested in portraiting as detailed and complex Exalted world as possible for my campaign, the Chronicles of Rin Yuan.
If any of my players read here ( Ikeda, Ryoichi, Otaru, Ichi-Tori or Kyochi ), then STOP IMMEDIATLY. Yes. RIGHT NOW: If you read this, you didn't stop soon enough!
Anyway, for all you others, I thought I'd introduce myself to these boards by giving you the summary of my campaign, as it's written in the InDesign'ed book I am putting together for the campaign. It's mostly done, and is much more complex than it appears here, but I thought It would be too much to post everything, so I start with a little teaser. My plan is to publish the completed campaign on the internet for anyone to use, it is designed sort-of like an Exalted book. If any storytellers like it or want to use any part of it, feel free, but I'd love to hear about any ideas that came from this, hehe
If you like it, or have any opinions or questions, I'd love to hear them. The campaign is largely thought out, but Im sure that you guys have thoughts and opinions that can change it to be even better.
Here it is:

Introduction:
The Chronicles of Rin-Yuan is a complete campaign for a group of newly graduated Dragon-Blooded exalted, spinning around the fate of Rin-Yuan, a prefecture on the blessed isle. The story itself is quite open-ended, although there is a timeline that the story will follow, with respective events occuring at their set times ( unless someone radically changes the pace of the story, of course ).
How To Use This Book:
The book is divided into five chapters, the first beeing this introduction.
The Succession of Karu:
The succession of Karu tells a story of a recently deceased Dynast, Ragara Karu, and the remains of his wealthy empire in the city of Rin-Yuan. The PC’s are sent out, together with several other Dragon-Blooded nobles, to recover what is left of the precious Dragon Silk-trade that Ragara Karu controlled and to seize power in the headless prefecture. Many other nobles stand in their way, each and every one struggling for the same goal, in more or less roundabout ways. Ragara Karu was obviously murdered, and an ancient decree set forth by the Empress dictates that the profit of the Dragon Silk trade as well as the ruling position of Rin Yuan belongs to the line of Ragara Maris, mother of Ragara Karu. As it is, Ragara Koji is the last remaining son officially belonging to the bloodline - if he passes away the matter will lie unresolved. Ragara Koji is also known as a worthless dynast, not worthy of the title - not even according to his own house! Several interested parties have sent their chosen to obstruct his rise to power. Some do it through assassination, some through providing a different claim on the throne, some through gentle manipulation and some through brute force. And at the same time, the mystery of Ragara Karu’s murder still lingers.. perhaps it was none of the houses, but something entirely different that was behind it? Some signs point to such a conclusion. But why?
Of Lost Treasures:
Just as the dust is settling, Rin-Yuan is struck by another catastrophe, one that can topple the city’s economy all together. There are no more ships coming in with Dragon-Silk and judging from the news, there won’t be any in the future either. According to a message from the patricians in Terek-Hun, the city in the Treshold from where the Dragon-Silk ships, the tiny larvae that produces the silk are all gone. The PC’s, or whoever controls Rin-Yuan, are not eager to see their newly aquired trade end up in nothing, and so, several groups are sent to Terek-Hun to investigate. Well there, the answer is all too clear – It’s a trap. Terek-Hun has been taken over by rebels, having seized control of all the important structures in the city without the Empire beeing notified, even once. The players and their allies have sailed into a trap, and their small forces face an army fortified in the city – a city with surprising amounts of fortifications, despite it being placed in a very calm region of the realm. Perhaps something is even more amiss? However, the urgency of the situation calls for action. It is up to the Player Characters and the other nobles to put their personal struggle aside to unite against the enemies of the Scarlet Empire and restore order to Terek-Hun.
Behind the Scenes:
Having restored order to Terek-Hun and hopefully established the Dragon-Silk trade again, there is still no evidence as to who started the rebellion in the first place. But, there are traces, traces that lead the characters through the slums and poor parts of Terek-Hun, where showing your true heritage is not the ideal solution. The path leads them to a large bathhouse where they are assaulted and attacked. If they survive and make it through the dungeon that is the bathhouse, they enter a study. Suddenly, appearing from a hidden compartment is a strange, tall man with milk-white skin. He offers them praise for finding him, and tells them that they must have realized that this is about something far grander than just a petty income from some trade route. He then, if they allow him, tells them a story about how he served Ragara Karu faithfully, and was promised a spot as Satrap for Terek Hun. But Ragara Karu betrayed him because the dynast was paranoid, despite his servant having served him completely faithfully. House Ragara sent assassins for him, since he could not live on with the knowledge of the horrible secret the Dragon Silk trade held – the fact that Terek Hun was being built up into a military fortification, ready to house the Ragara Legions for an upcoming succession war on the imperial island. The legions and the building projects were paid by the enormous excess wealth from the Dragon Silk trade. The conflict in Rin-Yuan made the Ragara officer there call a large force of the troops back, and <Name> took his chance to stop this before it was too late – both saving the empire and ruining Ragara in the same stroke. Now it’s up to the players if they want to help, or if he has to dispose of them.. Or that’s the story he tells them, at least.  In reality, he is something wildly different.. or is he?
