Two Thousand Club

  • Captain of S.S. Infinity
    Edward Ishikawa
    Mood: Distressed
In the sky - Top deck of S.S. Infinity
"And that's how I got this scar..." Ending the tale with him pointing towards his left eye that had the mark of what appeared to had been a large slash-like scar that had healed far long ago. "Wooahh! Tell us another story grandpa! C'moon!" A young boy amongst a rather large group of children exclaimed excitedly as he bounced in place while seated on the floor with his legs crossed. "Oh! Oh! Oh! Tell us the story about when you beat a Dragconi with your bare hands!" One of the female children suddenly spoke up causing the other children who hadn't heard the story yet to gasp at the thought of their 'grandpa' defeating a beast that stood well over 30 to 50feet tall and could breathe all forms of elemental energy and had an appearance similar to that of a dragon.
Laughing at the excitement, Edward Ishikawa, Captain of the S.S. Infinity raised his hands to try and calm the consistent pleading of the children to tell the story. "Now, now, children, you know Grandpa Eddi has to go soon. And isn't it about time for lunch? Surely you don't want to waste all that work Sister Catherine did making your food now, do you?" As he questioned the young children, they whined before turning their heads over their shoulders towards the orphanage where a middle aged nun stood waving to the children to come back to the orphanage.

"Here...I'll walk you all back." Offering the walk, the children were quick to agree as they all stood from the floor after Edward helped himself up from the old wooden chair that was sitting on the side of the dock meant just for him for the 'story time'. As the group made their way to the orphanage gates, the nun filed the children into the building before bowing her head to Edward. "Thank you, Captain Edward. Truly, everytime you return...your stories are what these children look forward to. Thank you, honestly. Please, have safe travels and may the blessing of the World Tree protect you and your crew." As the nun spoke and gave her blessings, he'd nod in return before giving his own bow. "And thank you, Sister. To see those warm smiles on their faces is all I need to continue living on. Do take care of them, I promise, I shall return as soon as I am able to. With more stories, no less." With that said, he finished his words with a hearty laugh that he shared with the nun before they went their separate ways.

Heading back to the docks which had only been a couple of minutes of a stroll, Edward paid little mind to the populace as he walked by multiple strangers on his way back to his ship.
By the time he had made his arrival to his vessel, Jin had been carrying up the last of the large crates of vegetables onto the large plank and to bring it fully on board. Approaching his Quartermaster, he'd slap Jin on his shoulder while laughing still heartily. "Great work Jin, my boy! That looks like the last of it! Now, lets get ready to set sail! Everyone on board?" Nodding his head in response to his Captain's question, Jin carried the large crate of vegetables down several decks to reach the kitchen where he'd leave it before helping put away the food.

Meanwhile, back on the main deck Captain Edward was had been standing at the bow of his ship as the large vessel began to exit from the port. Feeling the salty sea air against his skin as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the cool breeze. By the time the ship had been several hundreds of feet away from the docks, he turned his attention towards his helmsmen on the opposite side of the ship who had been piloting the large vessel. "Bring us to the skies Azure, my boy!" Calling out to his helmsmen as the ship picked up speed before they rocketed into the sky, high above the clouds.
Mere moments after they had reached near maximum altitude, the sound of a horn-like call echoed through the air causing Edward to raise a brow, turning his attention from one side to the next to locate the sound, it was soon found that the sound was coming from behind them. Two massive ships that sailed red colors for flags were approaching the Infinity at rapid speeds before firing off several warning shots of canons that actually made contact with the ship. "Bring up the barrier!" Calling out an order, it took mere seconds before the Eternum barrier came up to begin taking the blunt force of the cannon fire only for it to come to a halt once the two unknown ships came to a halt on both sides of the Infinity.

With the attack coming to a halt for the time being, the ship on the starboard side of the Infinity soon had a woman who appeared to had been in her late thirties or early forties stepped out from her cabin just to approach the side of her own ship while staring at Edward who had been returning the rather smug look with a glare of his own. "Oh? You must be Edward Ishikawa...hm, much older than the stories make you out to be...hm, no matter. Mister-...no, Captain Edward Ishikawa. I am Captain Valorie Blackheart...I am but a simple woman...with simple needs. My men here have told me that they have seen a number of individuals on your ship that fit the exact description of a few high bounties." As the woman spoke, she meandered along the deck of her ship, at closer inspection, it appeared as though she not walking upon the surface of her own vessel but rather she was walking on the men and women of her ship who had bent themselves over onto their hands and knees, allowing her to use them like a covering for the floor so that her heels would not be dirtied.
Taking several puffs of a long stick that had a cigarette on the end of it, she blew out several strands of white smoke before turning his attention back upon Edward. "Now, I am giving you an offer, Captain. Let me and my men on board and to take these individuals without fuss, and I will let you and the rest of your...measly crew go with your lives...hm? How about it?" As the woman spoke, anger boiled within Edward. Gritting his teeth, he stayed silent for several minutes while he slowly proceeded to a specific side of his ship, causing the woman to believe he was thinking upon his decision at the time.

"You expect me...to simply let you take my family away...? To sell them off, away from their home...? Just so me and the rest of my family can go free..?" As he spoke in a low hushed whisper, he soon arrived at one of the cannonball racks before brushing his hand over several of them. "Go to hell!" With that said, he gripped onto the cannonballs before launching them with his bare hands, his unimaginable strength sending the cannonball flying over to explode and cause damage to her own ship even if only slightly. Immediately, battle raged between the Infinity and the two bounty hunter ships, the woman meanwhile proceeded to head back into her cabin, giving orders to her men to kill everyone but to make sure and leave those with the bounty alive.

"Someone check on the cooldown on the shield generator! Get it up already!" Shouting over the sounds of explosions, gunfire and the clashing of metal; Edward had been battling against several men and women wielding scimitars and flintlock pistols, armed without any protective gear whatsoever other than the clothes on his back. Luckily with his Eternum ability, he was able to harden his skin to make contact with the sharpened edges of the swords and as well as taking bullet shots directly to his body without causing any mortal wounds.

The enemy had been a large group of bounty hunters that were after a few specific members of his crew, however, the Captain was not simply going to relinquish members of his crew away to a bunch of violent looking strangers just because they had said so. When demanding the bounty hunters to leave them in peace, they answered with violence rather than complying to his demands. "You will not take my grandchildren!" Once again shouting at the top of his lungs, the large elderly and burly man swung his right arm with enough tremendous amounts of force to shatter through his opponents' blades before opening his arms wide to practically pull the trio into a bear hug-like grip before tossing them overboard. Being thousands of feet into the air, the sounds of the men and women screaming soon were silenced after they had left earshot distance. Moments later, several other members of the two adjacent bounty hunter ships charged on board to attempt and start combat with him once more.

With the battle seemingly showing no signs of ending and from the looks of it, they were on the losing end of the skirmish, the Captain exhaled a deep breath before quickly inhaling as much air as he possibly could in one breath. Seconds later, his entire flesh from head to toe began to turn into a glossy reflective blackened color. Swords shattered like glass, bullets bouncing off his chest like pebbles, cannons blowing up in his face, all of which showed no signs of actually damaging or even so much as making a dent on his metallic flesh. Knowing well enough that he could only keep this form up for a matter of minutes due to his old age and lack of stamina, he took advantage of every second he had by barreling forward and gathering as large of a group as possible of the bounty hunters before tackling them on board one of their own ships.

"Everyone! Get going! Save the Infinity! Azure, get everyone out of here! Now!" As the burly man shouted over his shoulder, pinning down the large group of men and women to the deck of the enemy ship while it continued to fire upon the Infinity relentlessly. "Get off you old fart!" One of the men shouted as he bashed the head of Edward who's metallic skin was beginning to fade little by little every second. Knowing well enough that if he continued to hold down his enemy in such a state for too long, he'd get himself killed before his crew could escape, eventually he tossed the bounty hunters aside before exhaling once more. Panting from exhaustion, his full metallic form rapidly faded only now covering portions of his chest and the entirety of his arms, sweat dripped from practically every part of his body as he was quick to raise his fists up to prepare for the next round.

Just then, the sound of an explosion followed by a female bursting out the hunters' Captain's quarters ship caused the group followed by Edward to turn his head over his shoulder. Seeing as Jin stepped out from the same cabin of which the hunter's Captain just flew out from, Edward would only stare for a moment before pointing towards his own ship. "Jin! Get back to the Infinity and get out of here! Before we lose her and everyone!" Shouting with both anger followed by panic, Jin stared with widened eyes, almost confused on what his own Captain was ordering him to do. Before he could so much as question his orders, Edward had grabbed Jin by the collar of his shirt before tossing him over onto the deck of the Infinity. Immediately after, he proceeded to punch a massive hole into the wooden deck of the hunters' ship, with one strike after another and the shock followed by confusion of the bounty hunters, Edward eventually reached down to the engine room of the large vessel. "Here it is! With this, at least the crew can get an escape route..." With that said, he slammed his fist into the large mechanism before tearing out wiring, Eternum shards, and metal. Even with the explosions blowing up in his face, he fought through the heat and pain. Before long, the ship began to burst into flames as it slowly began to tilt over towards one side, falling out of the sky while the other hunter ship quickly began to follow after their comrades.

"What the heck is... " The voice of a rather groggy Levina spoke up woken up rather harshly from her nap bellow. Her wolf like ears perked up as her nose twitched a bit at the smell of gunfire. A rather harsh way to be stirred given she had fallen asleep for a little nap before they had set off from port. Her head slightly aching from drinking the night before. A rest she had hoped to capitalize on given she had already charted their journey the day at least in hopes of getting more rest time until they at least departed from the port and were well on their way out. It couldn't of been that far out from port yet they had been attacked?

The 5'5 woman was far from dressed for the occasion, wearing... surprising much more then normal. Her soft yellow tank top worn with a pair of grey shorts. Her hazy yellow eyes glancing out clearly not at all prepared to be up not having changed from her casual wear. Her hand rubbing at her head trying to press away the headache. Her usual purplish blue hair a bit disheveled though not far from the normal. Her wolf like ears lifted up as her fluffy tail was lifted up. Her mind all but trying to catch up on the situation being far from the right 'mood' for doing so.

Fortunately the right wake up call found its way to her. Her yellow eyes opened wide as she narrowly darteda way nearly getting pelted by a Jin flying through the air. Thankfully her relfexes were still good despite her groggy state. The impact surely wouldn't of been pleasant at all. She glared growling a bit as her teeth shown looking almost sharp as she stared at him clearly rather agitated.

"Watch it you damn cat!" She called out, her sharp voice peeking out in what appeared to be her much more normal feisty reaction. Her eyes glancing about catching sight of what was going on.

An attack...

AN ATTACK?

Any bit of grogginess slipped away as she shook her head fixating more on the situation at hand. She was quick darting past Jin nearly crashing partly into him to push him out of the way to go to the side of the ship to glance down noticing one of the bounty hunter ships losing elevation. Her eyes briefly catching onto... was that the captain? Her eyes lingered on him briefly seemingly lost for words before turning her head back. Her mind not comprehending what she saw. She was quite behind though she was working to catch back up looking at Jin pointing her finger at the cat boy staring sharply.

"The heck are you doing flying around nearly crashing into people! We got to get moving!" She spoke shuffling over towards the helm. Her eyes glancing around with the situation at hand it was quite hard to focus, particularly having not been awake for their departure it left her a bit lost where exactly they were. All she could do was vaguely recall the chart she had plotted. Her hands lifted up over to her mouth. Shouting seemed the best option.

"Steer... about... 8 degrees starboard from our intended coarse... was it 8... 11! Keep us up high land should be slightly lower altitude then our planned route!" She spoke out loudly as her voice aimed for what she asumed would be Azure at the helm. It was... sketchy guessing on her part given her lack of clear information. Still, she could faintly recall charting thier route. It should run them in towards an uncharted island that they could use to escape to and try and recouperate and at least use to try and hide away if they needed to. At the very least it was a rough direction they could most certainly use while flying being able to likely spot the landmass and steer their way correctly towards it, if not one of the several other islands that floated along side it.

Landed at the dock that was like any other to him. For someone who knew so much about the world, he was not as well-traveled as he was educated. However it was not by choice and it seemed that now was the time for him to, change, to grow. Even then it was still hard. All Cypher could muster up was longingly stare from the edge of the ship, watching people move from place to place wishing, possibly one day he could mingle just like a normal person. However, there was always the feeling of fear that always kept him back. He sighed heavily as he took off his glasses and tucked them away into a pocket. He didnโ€™t need them for much but it caused less strain on his eyes which was helpful for his work. Pale lips parted slightly as he breathed in the fresh air, still preferring the much less healthy air of his lab, but the fresh air was good.

Cypher - even standing here on the edge is a big step for you, donโ€™t think less of yourself.
Sorry, I just wish I could. Everyone else makes it look so easy.
Hang in there, one step at a time.

As Cypher had this conversation in his head, his normally teal-green eyes became swirled with a bright and light blue as he pushed away from the railing and slunk his way back into the depths of the ship. A hand ran through his messy teal hair that looked as though it needed a wash. Cypher had found himself in a slump once again. Though since entering this ship, his periods of depression seemed to have lessened, it doesnโ€™t mean that the dark figure in the corner has gone away. Setting up shop by the engine was the most logical choice, he knew that, however, that also seemed to be a commonplace that the figure appeared. A figure only he could see and always followed him around, a second unwanted shadow. It whispered thoughts and ideas into his head, fear of being found, of being used again, of only being seen as a tool. Their hands shook as he tried to ignore the figure, beginning work on some tuneups on his circuit breaker needed as the engine glowed to life, signaling the sign of departure.

For a moment the figure disappeared, and just as quickly it reappeared, taunting him, wrapping its arm around him. Cypher could feel the darkness begin to block out the other colors in his mind, heart racing, frozen in place. Scared. Alone. Cypher was moments away from spiraling before a jolt caused Cypher to fall off his chair and at last, the figure left him alone. The boy was confused at the odd movement. He always had doubts about the helmsman's ability but even this seemed, unnatural for the fellow. So Cypher pushed himself up and scrambled his way to the deck, peaking his head out to only see a ship that always put fear into his heart. Hunters. It seemed clear that many people on this ship were hiding from something, and Cypher was one of those people. He never wants to go back to the capital. He could only catch the tail end of the โ€œbarrierโ€ and once again Cypher found himself useless. Frozen.

Cypherโ€ฆCYPHER! Go- now! The barrier!
Rightโ€ฆbarrier.

He could always trust Data to be logical, his eyes beginning to swirl with colors as almost unnaturally he stood up and dashed back under the main deck and down into the lower levels, finding himself at the engine.

Energy isnโ€™t full but neither can it raise the barrier, it'll cost about 45% to jump-start it.
45%...of how much?
93% slowly decreasing.
Fine.

Cypher from his workstation placed two gloves on his hands and placed them on a bit of metal that was eventually hooked up to the large crystal that powered this ship. He inhaled slightly, counting the seconds. 1โ€ฆ2โ€ฆ10โ€ฆ30โ€ฆ60. A minute passed as strands of electricity would begin to form around his hands then a large amount of energy would be released, a blast of energy going to jump-start the crystal and the things it powered (mostly) as they just started the ship. It wasnโ€™t warmed up enough but with just a little help from Cypher, the shields glimmered around the ship.

Howโ€ฆ
46% only a 2% error in calculations. We didnโ€™t get sufficient time to see how much we needed to use.
I see. I should go up and check?
Let me.
Right.

Blue and teal as pink and purple faded and the smaller male made his way up, more sluggish than he was before, stopping at the kitchen and lounge area for a moment, and slowly climbing the stairs up, making sure not to draw too much attention as his eyes peeked just above the floor.

Serina & Red

Soothing classical music filled the room, a soft hum escaping Red as he rested in a rocking chair made by his own hands. His crimson eyes remain on the piece of clothing in his hand, and there is a needle and thread between his fingers as he carefully and skillfully repairs a nasty tear in a brown leather coat. As he worked, his face had a calm neutral expression, an aura of relaxation hanging over him as a record player played classical on his desk. A long groan would bring him out of this sense of relaxation, his crimson eyes flicking over to his bed, frowning a bit to see Serina lazing about with a bored expression. Her miscolored eyes stared up at the ceiling, a bored pout on her face as she lay on Red's bed with her hands folded under the back of her head. She would glance over to Red and huff, rolling into her side as she propped her head up in the palm of her head. "Are you done yet? No way a little tear like that would take longer than ten minutes," she would complain, Red's sharp crimson eyes narrowing as he noticed her ruining his freshly made bedsheets. He would take a slow breath through his nose and look back to his work, continuing to sew the tear close in Serina's leather jacket.

"A 'little tear'? Serina, it looks as if a bloody rabid hound ravaged this. What on earth were you doing?" Red questioned as he continued to repair the damage with a careful hand. Serina shrugged and rolled onto her back.

"Hell if I know, kinda just woke up and found it like that," she answered, burping into her fist and cringing from the lingering taste of liquor and other odd tastes. "That Dragon Ale does a number on me," she muttered, not seeing the disgusted look twisted onto Reds from her burb. He shook his head and sighed as he kept working. The classical music from the record player continued to fill Red's courters, and the duo remained in a familiar and comfortable silence. That silence would soon be destroyed as the ship suddenly rocked, Red's skillful hand slipping and worsening the tear in the leather coat.

"Bloody damnation!" he spat as he steadied himself in his rocking chair, glaring at his ruined work. Serina groaned and sat up from the bed, rubbing the side of her hair, her fingers running through her messy blonde hair.

"Oh come on, what now?" she grumbled as Red rose from his chair, tossing his ruined work onto his desk and stopping the record player. With a low breath, he rolled up the sleeves of his silk shirt and gathered his weapons, his finely crafted saber, and holstered his Eternum-powered revolver to his side.

"Something bothersome, as always," he muttered before marching for his courter's door, storming out with Sarina close behind him, her fingers twirling her daggers with small licks of flames clinging to the blades. The two of them would hurry through the ship and reach the deck just as the fighting started to heat up. Red clicked his tongue in irritation as he saw the red sails of the other ship, recognizing their attackers. Serina scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Bounty Hunters, of course," she mumbles before twirling her daggers and lunging into the fighting without a second thought. A frown twisted onto Red's face as he raised his revolver and sent a round flying into the air, tearing through a bounty hunter with deadly precision. From there the conflict would become a haze, Serina weaving, cutting, and dancing with licks of flames around her and her blades, her honed agility and powers keeping her moving throughout the fight. Meanwhile, Red would lock in a mix of close courter clashes and ranged fighting, using his talents with melee and firearms more than his powers. Red cut down another bounty hunter with ease before his eyes snapped to one of the hunter's ships, seeing Jin get tossed back aboard the Infinity and widening his eyes as he saw their captain going down with the bounty hunter's ship as it began to fall from the sky. Serina would catch the tail end of it, clicking her tongue in frustration, knowing all she could do was keep repelling any attackers from the ship, the same for Red, as the others tried to get the ship moving.

92dc704f58afa8008973146cac856a94.jpgWhen docked Lindsey had been buying things she needed and even found a couple of books, though she mostly used the five-finger discount. After she was done she went back to the ship and spent the rest of the time in her room sketching out things, tinkering, and fixing things. She was so consumed in what she was doing that she didn't even notice what was happening up on deck until she heard something explode. She stopped what she was doing and quickly ran to the deck. Once she made it to the deck she saw a fight going on with bounty hunters.

"Oooh bounty hunters. fun~"

Suddenly Lindsey felt a presence nearby and caught someone's fists. She looked to the side and saw it was a bounty hunter. She gave him an unimpressed look and engulfed his fist she was holding in blue flames. The man yelled in agony trying to pull away. Suddenly Gramps's voice caught her attention, said for everyone to get going and save the Infinity then told Azure to get them out of here! Lindsey scanned around still holding on to the bounty hunter whose arm was now engulfed in flames. Once her eyes found Gramps she noticed he was on the other ship. Her eyes widened as she realized what was happening. She let go of the bounty hunter, who was still screaming in agony from being on fire and ran to the edge of the ship. Though once she did she suddenly had to dodge from being hit by Jin, who Gramps threw over to their ship. She glanced at Jin then looked back at the ship and watched as it went hurling down in flames.

"Gramps...."

Lindey's voice was soft and stunned as she saw the ship go down with gramps on it. Suddenly an irritated look crossed her face as she could still hear that bounty hunter screaming in pain.

"Oh shut up!"

Lindsey yelled at the bounty hunter and then tossed him off the ship.

He had been up early with the sun, doing a quick look of the ship in the mornings to ensure no damage had happened overnight and some trouble some spots were still in tack. The Infinity was a beautiful ship, but her age was beginning to show meaning there was always something to check up on. And it was Azureโ€™s home, and he cared deeply about the ship, doing anything he could to make sure she was okay.

Once the basic checks were done, the rest of the morning Azure found themselves in the gym. They wear baggy sweats with an equally baggy t-shirt and go through a very simple routine, focused on mostly maintaining their body more than anything, not needing to push it to become stronger but to keep it healthy. His strength was a blessing and curse, and it required constant training. Focus. Control. Composure. Using strength in moderation. Azure was never great at it, but the regiment that Gramps had put him on was helping, though recently it had to be changed as it was beginning not to be as effective. For just a bit over an hour, he was in the gym and by this point, he heard people begin to move about. So he knew it was time to stop and sprint to the shower, one of the more confusing parts of his days. However, he had a setup with Julie, so long as no one else was in there and nothing major was happening, he could use the infirmary shower instead.

Azure was off, quickly moving from the gym to his room to grab some simple clothing, and up to the infirmary only giving a slight hi or wave to anyone he might pass as he ducked into the dark room, leaving the lights off as he proceeded to wash up for the day. At least with the lights off, he wouldnโ€™t have to see the body he was born with. It caused Azure a lot of trouble, and was not worth standing infront of the communal showers for way too long until someone asked him what he was doing at that point he panicked and went into the female bathrooms which always ended up being the wrong option.

Either way, Azure washed up and walked out of the shower wearing a tank that covered up their binder, with a loose black button down and black jeans, quietly dipping back into his room for a moment to drop off his workout clothing and towel and end up wandering into the kitchen, he would be quick to rummage through the drawers to make his after-workout shake. And after such a morning with the sun, he would find himself at the helm, shake in hand, and almost just on cue, the order he was waiting for was given.

"Bring us to the skies Azure, my boy!"

Hearing orders from Gramps Azure would give a small hand signal to say they understood and would begin slowly turning out of pout, pulling a lever towards himself to begin ascending as well, then would turn to the panel and begin to increase how fast they were going, starting off very slowly and steadily increase. But something was changing with the air, it wasn't normal winds, that's what Azure could tell, quickly putting the ship into a natural position and pulling an emergency lever quickly slowed the ship down before it rammed into two ships, bearing red flags that came up out of nowhere. "It's okay Infinity, I'll keep you safe," they spoke to the ship, gently patting the helm as they looked around, clocking whoever was on deck or appearing. However, the sudden force of the cannon, caused Azure to steer in that direction to keep the ship stead.
"Well that can't be good,"
he said, and moments later the fighting would break out.

Azure's first thing was give them some space to for them to fight. He clocked the other helmsman and was paying close attention to the his family on and offf the ship before kicking the "emergency brake" lever back into place, pulling hard on the ascending and descending lever to go up quickly and began to increase the speed to move the fight away from the docs. They had barely gotten off the docs and the engine was still warming up, as Azure hands tightened around the helmโ€™s handles, waiting for the opportunity to begin charging their thrusters.
"Come on Infinity, work with me,"
he mumbled, keeping it going forward for now. The first thing was to get the ships away to give them an edge forward. He would look at the two ships and take a deep breath. He first would bring up the shield, seeing a random energy boost, which he could only assume was Cypher at work then held a hand out towards one of the two ships. As the Inifinty kept going forward, the other would be pushed back, trying to create an opening for them to escape. The bounty hunters' ship would rock in the air as they would then get control back over their ship, which was still warming up after just taking off.

Soon the infinity would shake, something hitting the ship which Azure could tell was near the engine, swearing softly, the barrier would falter, and the engine energy would go in and out, the ship becoming rockier by the second. As he tried to stabilize the ship, he recognized the sound of an order being given.

"Everyone! Get going! Save the Infinity! Azure, get everyone out of here! Now!"

Hearing their name again, Azure's head whipped to the other ship, as he saw Gramps disappearing and Jin being thrown onto the ship. His stomach dropped at this, as he paused, watching the ship before 1 explosion went off, the ship going up into flames. To avoid getting their ship burned up, Asure turned hard in the other direction, ramming into the other ship slightly as he pulled the lever more to ascent up again. He couldn't disobey Gramps, but something didn't feel good about the last words spoken.

That is an order.

Something about the tone of those words made Azure hesitate for a moment, but his body moved on its own, not giving him much time to process what was happening. Kicking on the hologram controls of the infinity, he would begin to push buttons and flip a leaver as a countdown would begin on the ship.

Powering thrusters, chargingโ€ฆ10% โ€ฆ 15% โ€ฆ 20%

The counting would begin rapidly counting up, the thrusters would begin to flow, the ship slightly rumbling as it began to charge.

95% โ€ฆ charging complete.
Azure stared at the button for charged thrusters, and he looked up, seeing mostly everyone on deck, and waited a moment for Gramps, but not seeing him anywhere. His hand hovered over the button, seeing it shake lightly from all the hits he had taken, his body trying to heal itself but he was already feeling tired and lacking energy. He should focus on dodging attacks but he always seemed to forget.

An order is an orderโ€ฆ I have too.

Another voice broke through, enough to make sure Azure couldnโ€™t think about disobeying orders. "Steer... about... 8 degrees starboard from our intended course... was it 8... 11! Keep us up high land should be slightly lower altitude than our planned route!" Levinaโ€™s voice gave him instructions and he would attempt to list as told.

He then bent down and over the speaker system spoke.

โ€œH-hold on everyone. We are getting the hell outta here.โ€

His voice shook lightly as he gave everyone a moment to latch onto something before slamming his hand on the button. The ship rumbled once more, the thrusters whirring before a large burst of energy shot out of them throwing the ship forward and even causing Azure to stumble against the sudden force, reaching out and grabbing the helm, fighting for control over the ship. As the stern passed the bow of the frigate and just out of range. A large explosion would cause the S.S. Infinity to shake, pushing the ship forward even more, as the ship chasing them went down, so did the sinking feeling of Azureโ€™s stomach, the realization of what happened to hit Azure first as he looked back, feeling the tears well up in his eyes, and the guilt beginning to slowly sink in.

It was his fault.

The sudden jerk of the helm for the time would draw Azureโ€™s head back forward, as whatever the course was, it was no longer important. For now, the important task was to simply find a place to land. Azure scanned the skies for somewhere to land, but it was hard with the ship barreling past smaller islands and other floating structures. Yet soon, as fate would have it, an island, a decent distance would appear in front of them, and that's when Azure would make this snap decision. There was no time to ask for other opinions, for second thoughts, as he would fight the wind and the force of the ship propelling forward to steer towards the island.

Azure would begin to pull on the brakes, as he began to move the ship down, yet there was no sign of the ship slowing down, error messages popping up on the hologram controls.

Error: Critical System Failure - Insufficient Energy and Structural Damage Exceeded

โ€œShit, why now?โ€
he hissed to himself, checking the status of the barrier it seemed to have gone down some time ago, which also means, the only thing keeping this ship moving forward was the initial velocity of the thrusters, with no way of slowing down, only reinforced as another error messaged appeared.

Error: Critical System Failure - Deceleration Inoperable

Azure was quick to turn the thrusters off and began to lower the bow of the ship, gravity only causing the ship to go faster as power throughout the ship would begin to falter, turning on and off, the ship rapidly descending as the hologram controls would begin to flicker away. There was a piece of forested land surrounded by some water that they were already aimed at, so, Azure with the last bit of power the ship had, would release all of the sails, hoping the fabric would help the descent slow down, and Azure would try the breaks.

โ€œHOLD ON EVERYONE! WE ARE MAKING AN EMERGENCY CRASH LANDINGโ€
he shouted, his voice booming through the skies as he

โ€œCome on girl, just a little, work with me!โ€
he said to himself, pulling hard on the breaks with one hand and leveling the ship out with his other as in moments, the bow of the ship crashed into trees, flatting them to the ground, followed by the stern, and soon, both hit the land, but no sign of slowing down.

โ€œOh, forget this!โ€
he started. The controls disappear leaving him with the regular wooden helm.
โ€œIโ€™m taking matters into my hand!โ€

A step forward to the railing of the stern deck, and he stepped up onto the railing, before launching himself forward. The large male soared through the sky for a moment before landing on the deck, near Jin, and beginning to run forward towards the bow of the still fast-moving ship. Once he had reached the bow, of course, Azure was full of stupid stunts and trying to pull crazy things, but no one would think that someone would, jump off a moving ship, especially at the front. Yet, Azure would put one foot on the railing at the bow of the ship, then, with another powerful push forward, there was a snapping sound of the wood railing being broken by the force of Azureโ€™s leap forward. Spinning around in the air to face the ship, he first was ramed bu the tip of the bow, tossing Azure further forward. While that wasnโ€™t the plan, it was enough to make sure he was in front of the ship. As he landed on his back, skidding across the grass, he rolled onto his feet and his eye went wide at the fast-approaching ship. No time to think.

Azure took a power stance, his legs wide apart and his arms open as he yelled and then, a decent thud as the ship barreled into Azure and the yelling stopped. Surly enough, that should have run the normal person over, yet, the powerful 6โ€™8 male stood his ground, gripping the bow of the ship, digging his hands into the wood, breaking it slightly to make handles for himself, coughing up blood from the impact, his body struggling to heal itself as surely there were broken bones. He pushed against the the ship, his feet digging into the ground, gritting his teeth, his legs being strained, feeling every part of his body being pushed to degrees they had never been pushed before yet, the ship began to slow down. Even without his enhanced strength ability, he would still be much stronger simply due to his size and his workout, yet, add that on top of his ability, he was a beast, just like Gramps.

Grampsโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll be dammed if I don't stop this ship and make sure they're all safe! He thought, remembering the order that he gave him to make sure everyone was brought to safety, and, Gramps didnโ€™t say how. At the bow of the ship, an intense pressure could be felt by those closest to him as the gravity began to increase and Azure gritting his teeth as he was suing everything he had to to this ship. He fought with every fiber and over the course, of minutes, the ship, slowed down to a jerky but gentle stop and the pressure from the increase gravity would gently be lifted as well.

Breathing heavily, Azureโ€™s body was shaking in pain, but he didnโ€™t make a sound, except cough lightly as blood spattered a bit on the ship. The moment his hands loosened their death grip on the ship, Azure would collapse, his legs feeling as though they couldnโ€™t work, his arms unable to push himself up, and breathing becoming painful but, he felt, relieved. The ship was okay, and so was everyone on it, other than being tossed around probably. Everyone was safe.

Gramps.

The thought occurred to him once more as his earlier realization began to settle in. He never saw Gramps boarding the ship again, and from the helm, you can see most things, yet Gramps wasnโ€™t one of the people he saw. But maybe, he was already on the ship when he gave the order? As much as Azure would like to believe that, flashes of Keane being thrown on deck then Gramps shouting, even the hopeful Azure knew, that wasnโ€™t the truth. Gramps wasโ€ฆgone.

An island reclaimed by nature. Underneath the lush greenery once stood a mighty town, and at the highest point, a barely visible path leads up to the shrine, which looks as if it was once well kept, even in recent years, only now, has it fallen into dusty disrepair. Shohei, adorn in his shrine outfit was sitting in the main room of the shrine, holding a little box as the whirring sound of a ship reached his ears. However, something seemed off. Running to the highest point in the shrine, he stood atop of the shrine as he watched a ship hurtling towards the island. Eyes went wide remembering the ship that came before yet, this one seemed more, unusual. Like the ship was out of control. Seeing it crash and barrel through trees, Shohei would duck back inside of the shrine and run to the bottom. He snaggedthe little box and shoved it under his outfit, a little hand clutching a leaf amulet as he ran out of the shrine, looking around then closed his eyes, the amulet in his hands glowing slightly, a wave of energy rushing through the island. His brown eyes opened, now with a faint blue glow to them, as he saw 5 small spirits sitting at his feet, small animals that once lived on the island and Shohei nodded to himself.

โ€œWatch them, the crashed ship. Before the 4th hour is up return to me and tell me what you have seen and heard,โ€
he said softly, blinking a few times before his eyes returned to normal and he could no longer see his spirits but, he could feel them, knowing they were out there helping him now. The first ship was dangerous, at least from what he could remember. It was almost a year ago since the major attack, of them being rediscovered and out of it all, he was the soul survive. This ship could be one trying to recover the lost ship, or something new, and he couldnโ€™t risk any more trouble. So many had suffered all because of a singular item, one that is now his job to protect. While no one else was around, Shohei pulled out the box, opening up slightly to see the shimmering leaf, its hues changing and swirling like the seasons as it stayed in pristine condition, as it has always been since it was found by one of his ancestors many centuries ago. The Everlasting Leaf is one of the few relics that people worshipped and proven to be from the World Tree itself. This was his family's prized possession to guard until it was almost taken not even a year ago.

โ€œDonโ€™t you worry Mom, Dad, Iโ€™ll protect it with my life,โ€
he whispered, bowing his head to the box before closing it up once more, and putting it away between the folds of his clothing, running back inside the ruined shrine, to the upper levels, a spot where one couldnโ€™t see him from the bath but he could see others walk upon the Shrineโ€™s sacred ground.

Meanwhile, as soon as the young shrine guardian spoke his orders, the spirits ran off to the crash site. Hidden and unseen by plain eyes they would soon circle the ship and simply watch on. 2 would stay outside, keeping an eye on the stranger on the ground while 2 went onto the ship to see what dangers might come with such a ship.

Scrambling to keep himself steady on the deck of the ship after being thrown back onto the Infinity by the Captain, even as Levina questioned him for nearly barreling into his fellow crew members, Jin ignored the navigator's words until Azure's voice rang through the air about hanging on and leaving. Snapping his head over his shoulder at the thought of leaving the Captain, Jin's eyes widened. "Azure, no! The Captain...h-he's still aboard the enemy ship--!" Exclaiming his concern, before he could take any action to attempt and save their Captain, the sounds of the engines whirling to life and the knockback of the Infinity rocketing off into the distance nearly caused Jin to lose his breath from the sheer speed of the ship itself. When the Captain built the ship, he designed it specifically to not only be able to combat most militaristic ships but as well as be able to outmaneuver any other ship out in the open skies or seas, afterall, he built it to protect those most dear to him. As the acceleration of the ship only continued to rise with the Infinity soaring through the sky like a rocket leaving nothing but a light trail of parting clouds behind it, Jin could only grip onto the deck's wooden flooring by digging his nails into the planks til his fingers bled allowing him to solidify his blood into claws for a tighter grip.

With the sound of the wind blowing in his ears, Jin was only barely able to make out Azure's words, something about 'emergency' and 'landing'. Once Jin had raised his head to see what was at the bow of the ship, only to find that they were heading directly for sky island at unreasonable speeds, Jin gritted his teeth to brace himself for the impact that was about to come. In an instant, as the ship made full contact with the island, the sounds of the ground deforming, the ship's hull cracking and wood from the trees splitting followed by the rocking of the ship had Jin tighten his grip further onto the ship's hull to avoid him being tossed off of it from the sheer force of how much the ship moved.

Finally, after several agonizing minutes, the ship suddenly came to a halt as the sounds of the ship's thrusters hissed to complete silence. Loosening his grip onto the ship, Jin straightened himself before standing to assess the damage around them. "I-Is everyone alright..?" Questioning with his heavy panting breathes as he gazed around the deck for any missing crew members and possibly any injured. When Azure came up missing, Jin's eyes widened as he turned his head from side to side to see where their helmsman was, rushing to sides of the ship in a panic that if he had possibly fallen off the ship, it wasn't until he gazed over the railing and towards the front of the ship did he see Azure now laying there nearly motionless. "Azure!"

Without a second thought, Jin hopped off the side of the ship without any concern to how high off the ground he was, even when he landed onto his feet, the pain of such a high landing was nearly nonexistent he was fearing that he had just lost another member of the crew right before his very own eyes. Rushing over to him, Jin came to a skid of a stop as he knelt beside him. "Dont you dare die on me Azure..! Someone! Get some bandages, medicine...something!" Shouting at the top of his lungs, the thought about losing the Captain at the moment had to wait while they tended to one of their crew at this very second.

Levina Burza
|Navigator|

โ€œH-hold on everyone. We are getting the hell outta here.โ€

Her ears twitched picking up his voice despite all the chaos. It took her a moment to suddenly realize what it meant as a rather panicked look came upon her face. If they were getting away it would mean they would boost and fly off forward. It was so obvious yet in her bit of a haze her mind was rather slow on the uptake despite shouting vague adjustments to the directions to bring them closer to some sky islands to help hopefully lose their persuers if they were to keep up chase. Levina quickly moving towards the wall to the captains quarters bracing herself against it as best she could. As the ship accerlated her body was lurched back pressing up against it feeling the weight as if gravity was crushing her against the wall as her hands rested to the sides as if to grip at it.

Her eyes glanced over seeing Jin as he gripped at the wood clearly picking a rather unsaviory place to grip onto the floor clearly hurting himself in the process. Her eyes lingering on him as she wasn't able to do much else as they sped up, the speed carrying them being far less jarring the rough winds not at all helping to ease up as it blew against her keeping her still mostly pinned down. Azure's voice vaguely audible but enough to know there was something wrong. Her eyes glancing at Jin unable to help but scolf at him.

Stupid cat... picking there of all places to...

As the ship struck ground the harsh bump sent Levi's legs flying up as she gasped out her body half tumbling up up nearly flying up to the rail where the helmsman would be. Her hands grabbed the railing pulling as she went flipping over hanging on as her body nearly whipped straight off the ship. Her firm grip holding on as her legs dangled briefly before the scrapping caused the speed to decelerate causing her legs to fall forward grabbing at what she could her body pressed forward to the rail as the land managed to slow them down her body catching back up to the speed of the ship though it was still apparent it wasn't enough to stop it. The sound of the hull being scraped rather audible.

"Azure!" She muttered only to see him already up on the railing near her jumping up to try and stop the ship. She began to pull herself up getting a grip on the rail yanking herself into a better position to brace herself. The ship itself continueing what felt like an agonizijng eternity before screaching to a half. The girl wincing a bit squeezed to the rail as she slowly stood up shaking out her head.

"I-Is everyone alright..?"

"No you darn cat! We just crashed!" She shouted out in response her head peaking out as she clearly wasn't the most happy about waking up the way she did. Her head turning to glance. She darted over to the steering wheel glancing over checking on the status. It seemed the ship had been stopped, at least the engines weren't trying to push them further into the dirt. The faint sound of Jinn from the distance reaching her wolf like ears as they twitched.

"Dont you dare die on me Azure..! Someone! Get some bandages, medicine...something!"

His voice was soft where she was but her ears were able to pick it up. A worried look appeared on Levi's face as she darted down the steps glancing about a bit panicked to find the emergency aid pack. She pulled it off from the wall not being aware enough about medication or the like. It was as far as she knew something to use. She held the handle darting up half looking as if she might take off on all fours as she ran forward her hold on the medkit being the only reason keeping her from doing so. She ran forward jumping off the side, her agile body managing to land with a light wince at the distance of the fall, not being quite as graceful as a cat, particularly not being on all fours. Her eyes darted to see Azure a look of rather uneasy on her face as she moved over to Jinn handing him the FIrst Aid kit.

"Here! Here this thing! This... um..." She went to open it nearly causing its contents to fall out as she glanced at Azure more so lost looking half frusterated at it.

"I... I don't know how the hell to use this stupid thing and this stuff inside! Use it... whatever is needed I don't know!" The bit of panic and frusteration clearly looking over azure rather worried not at all certain what to even do.

Sabrina had been asleep during the commotion finally the noise got to her and she woke up. The moment she got on deck she heard Azure yell out for everyone to hold on. Before Sabrina could even process what was going on she suddenly Lindsey grabbed her pulling her into her arms as the ship took off at great speed Lindsey held on to the railing and Sabrina as tight as possible. Sabrina held on to Lindsey tightly. The whole thing was huge blur for both Lindsey and Sabrina and the before they knew it the ship came to a stop. Lindsey looked down at Sabrina making sure she was alright and then she glanced around the ship. Lindsey and Sabrina heard Jin yell out Azure's name. Lindsey stood up and got off the ship and ran over to them. Lindsey eyes widen slightly. "Shit"

Sabrina watched as Lindsey quickly jumped off the ship and Levina also heading off the ship. Sabrina followed to see what was going on and when she caught up with them her eyes widen as she saw Azure. "Azure!?" Sabrina ran up to him and knelt down beside him as well. He laid there motionless and Sabrina started to get scared. Her big brother was the strongest nothing could happen to him right? Suddenly Sabrina realized someone was missing. "Where's gramps?"
