Well hello there, and thanks for stopping by! I'm looking for a couple more roleplays to fill the boredom while I'm working nights shift, so I figured I'd make a thread for it. ^-^
A little about myself: my name is Chroma and I'm 21 years old. Currently I go by they/them pronouns. I've been roleplaying for about half my life now, starting with my older sister doing sonic RP's on our flip-phones. After that I moved over to warrior cats forum for a couple of years, before migrating here!
I'd like to consider myself a full literature/advanced writer. I tend to write several paragraphs with proper spelling and grammar (or at least I try to!) I'd love to have a partner that I can chat with OOC to discuss plot threads as well as just gush about our characters or anything that comes to mind!
I'd like to be able to discuss more mature topics in our roleplays if it comes up, so I'd prefer if my partners were 18+ like I am.
As I mentioned briefly, I currently work the night shift, in the mountain time-zone. I try to respond a few times a week, though it can shift to more or less depending on how busy IRL gets. I am comfy keeping our talks either here or on discord, though I'm generally faster with OOC chatter on discord!
I tend to like both fandom and OC roleplays! I have more experience with the latter, but I'm always willing to try something new. I'm willing to double, though I am a bit novice at it! My preferred pairing is M/F with me playing as M.

-The kingdom of Albarhea, long known for its military and cultural might, has recently annexed a small city-state along it's borders. In order to maintain law, the youngest son of the King has been assigned it's new lord, and has been sent to live in the city-state to monitor the population. Though initially reluctant, the prince agrees on the condition he can bring a trusted side with him, to help him navigate the tenuous atmosphere surrounding his appointment. (Your character could also potentially be a new hire from the annexed city-state, maybe wanting to get close to the prince in order to influence him yourself?)
-The latest court Wizard has retired. In a shock both to his country and his pupil, he suddenly departed one morning in order to investigate a dark disturbance that led him to become a wizard in the first place. His pupil, Olivier has tremendously large shoes to fill. With his mentor's endorsement, he fills his seat in the court, only days later being asked to escort the princess of the nation on a towards their neighboring Oligarchy for a discrete meeting. Will he be able to keep her safe on the long journey, and keep their identities hidden?
-Aris was once a legendary mage, having adventured across the continent in search of magical artifacts and knowledge. Years later, wealthy and renowned,his adventuring group decided to retire. Aris chose to live the rest of his life in a peaceful house near the outskirts of the capital.
That is, until one day he received a strange visitor. A friend of his arrived at his door, bearing both nostalgic reminiscing and a gift. A young girl he had saved from a slave market, one who bore incredible magic potential. He asked Aris, 'would you be willing to teach her your arts?'
-A young adventurer travels across the continent, led on by spirits from a magic gem-laden bracelet on his wrist. His journey to unlock his relic's secrets takes him to a large city in the frigid North. Ravenloft. Home to urchins and whomever is determined enough to eke out a living in the cold, the adventurer realizes he's wildly out of his element. With what remains of his coin purse, he makes his way to a local tavern to hire a local to guide him to a hidden shrine, as well as keep him safe from any who would seek to take advantage of a naive traveler.
-On a dark rainy night, a young man arrives to the door of a small abide in the middle of nowhere. Chasing rumors of a witch who can cure any problem, he made his way through the rain and mud to her doorstep. When asked why he had come, he practically begged. "I want to leave my lineage and start a life anew. Please take me on as your apprentice!"
