Actually, I just had a better idea; Avari would there be any sort of police presence around that murder site? Something that Marcus would be able to notice? He needs scoops, after all.

Genevieve Throckmorton AKA Crazy Janey runs the Sevens, the largest gambling and blackmarket goods trading area in Chicago. It operates out of an abandoned warehouse Downtown.
It's named after the seven deadly sins, since you can indulge in just about any of them there. Gambling, drugs, prostitution, weapons, if it exists and the law and society doesn't want you to have it you can get it in the Sevens.

The cops know to keep away, and those who won't end up missing or worse. The rest are on the dole and know not to bother. Crazy Janey saw that offering it as neutral territory meant the rest of the underworld figures would rather let her keep running it than lose a spot for negotiations and moving their goods.

She's nicknamed Crazy Janey for her highly eccentric ways, from her habit of trying to corrupt any clergy members she encounters (including nuns) to referring to her operation in pseudo-religious terms. Anyone using that nickname within earshot had better have her permission (few do) or learn how well the old woman can still use a knife. Her main muscle are a the Kowalski Twins, a pair of Earth magic using thugs, she herself runs the accounts, and her right hand woman is Sister Lyra, a fire magic using temptress who oversees operations while wearing a nun's habit.

The only reason Kaysen is involved is because the police either don't care/don't have the resources to currently deal with downtown - hence why Kaysen was called.

Murders are a daily occurrence right now. I doubt Marcus's bosses will think another dead refugee is print worthy.

That being said, I was thinking of introducing a Doctor NPC that the body might be taken to. Maybe she's on of Marcus's contacts

macrombie hey-o! would you like for victoria and akito hang out somewhere or does akito have something better to do? if you want i'm thinking maybe they could go to the bar (although im kinda hesitant about this cause three characters are already there) or somewhere else. if you don't then its all good and victoria's gonna exit the shop in my next post.

Avari I just read through the RP, and I'm thinking of ways to get in. As I see it, I have two alternatives, one of which breaks your rules and the other may be out of place or far-fetched. Worst case scenario I make my own introduction, unless there's still someone else who hasn't joined in yet.
Numero uno would be joining in at the Green Mill, acting as ScarletTears ' cooler-boy, as I so straight-forwardly named it. That'd break your character limit. Numero dos would be him appearing in the docklands and beholding the crime scene you yourselves are at from afar, although that hinges entirely off of whether either of your or thebigbadwolfy would find someone like him suspicious enough to interact with him.

The character limit isn't really a fixed rule, more a "try to avoid if you can coz things become a bit of a mess conversation wise"
