Some days it feels like this city is going to the dogs. Everyone is on the take. The DA. City Hall...even some of the cops walking the beat. They say it ain’t even safe to walk the streets at night unless you’ve got a gun or...a handful of fire. Everything really went to hell after the war. Well - the war was Hell. Everyone knows that. And with Europe gone, it leaves us to clean up the mess. More refugees are coming everyday. Unauthorized magic, contraband, illegal weapons...it’s all pourin’ into this city.
Chicago. They say it’s the city that never sleeps.
But I say it’s only a matter of time before this place becomes a nightmare.

THE RP
Chicago is a character driven, slow paced RP designed for overly enthusiastic RP'ers interested in a deep world to explore and develop.
The RP follows the adventures of a small group of individuals within Chicago as they deal with the difficulty of a Depression and a Magically cataclysmic World War 1. They will all inevitably be drawn into a hunt for a magical artifact, choose sides in a civil war, and work to prevent malevolent forces from destroying the city.
There will be a central plot, as well as several dedicated NPCs and Lore Page. Plot details will be posted in advance.
Players are however, encouraged to develop the world themselves, but each confirmed character will be given some lore by myself to use as a starting point.
Good writing is expected, as well as frequent posts. (Once every 24 hours realistically.) Though not every post has to be an epic essay.

While players are free to come up with their own characters, there are a handful of certain character types I would find rather helpful:

There are several "Vital" NPCs for this RP. Each will have a significant impact on your stories and will have their own unique Character sheets. However, players will have to discover these characters personalities/abilities themselves. As they do, I will fill in the sheets. Each NPC will also have Social Links - showing how much they like each player. You will find yourself getting significant advantages from NPCs you max your affinity with.
If you want to create a new location, Let me know - give me a reference picture and tell me where abouts in Chicago it is. It'll be marked on the map.
