Expect the unexpected, it expects you
Freya looked out of the window of the plane. Planes made her nervous but there was no way she was going to be able to get across three states to meet up with Allen.
Allen was a high school friend and one of the only people she knew in her new home. Chicago wasn't her first choice but she was glad Allen would be there. It was refreshing to know that she didn't have to go into a new city without at least having someone to talk to.
She sighed as she looked out the window, they were just about to land, Allen would be waiting for her at the airport. Their friend Michael had already gotten her things moved her and she was glad for that.
Michael was Freya's best friend and the only person she was sure knew just as much about her as she knew about herself. Allen and he had gotten Freya on the plane, if the two of them hadn't ganged up on her, she would have taking the train or driven there herself, just as Michael had.
But she was on a plane and anxiously waiting to get on the ground. She looked at her watch again, 45 minutes and they should be landing. Then Allen would take her to her apartment to change and they were supposed to meet some of his friends. She was glad it was Saturday, at least she didn't have to worry about work, just getting to the apartment and getting to bed afterwards.
