Chat Blocking

So, as we go about our daily activity, site-wise, we encounter certain situations which beg for the use of the "Block" feature. But, as you surely know, blocking a person is only one-sided, meaning that the person blocked, provided they haven't blocked you as well, can still see your messages and may find it annoying, which may not put a stop to the negative vibes that fall on the whole Chat.

To cut to the chase, what I'm asking is if there is any way to make the "Block" feature automatically block you to the user, if you decide to block him first. That way, further escalation of conflicts can be avoided, in my opinion.

For obvious reasons blocks don't work like that. You blocking someone shouldn't dedicate that their account automatically blocks you.

Got it. Thanks for your reply!

I think the biggest way to avoid negativity when it comes to blocking is not to announce that you've blocked someone. I notice this happens a lot in chat - sort of a "I'm punishing so and so, and want everyone to know it!" thing, and it never accomplishes anything more than frustrating the person who was blocked, where as if said person doesn't know they're blocked, they more than likely won't make a big deal about it.
