Surpressing another bout of laughter at the poor girl’s confusion, Isla nodded her head earnestly.

“Sure it’s ok! I’m going in this, I dont have anything better to wear.. trust me, it was way worse before I got out here.” She offered a small smile to Lark, rolling her eyes playfully. “And you can’t miss a chance to say happy birthday when the birthday day isn’t over yet silly! We still have a while before the party anyways, so don’t sweat it.”

Isla tapped her chin thoughtfully as she appraised the girl. “Ya know, I think a party might do you some good! I’ll be there, and I’m sure Mr. C...ah,” she stuttered, remembering the guildmasters preferance of name, “Acamen will want you there as well! Plus Luce will obviously be there, its her own party! Oh oh, and I can totally introduce you to a friend of mine I just met today! He’s really nice, although he can be a bit of a prick.” She huffed as flashbacks from getting thrown into a bush came flooding back.

“I’m sure you two will have a lot in common too! He isnt super social either.”

Acamen stopped rambling and let out a nervous laugh instead.

“Not much of a talker I see” he continued to laugh. Acamen tried to become more serious to the conversation as it was obvious that his humour was not being picked up on. “If you came to help and protect then you picked the right profession. Guilds pride themselves on helping those in need and taking the jobs that no one else can. And don’t worry there will be a lot of fighting” his eyes couldn't help but notice as he flexed his muscles causing Acamen to gulp. As he was offered the hairbrush he carefully took and examined it a bit. It was very beautiful and rustic. “Thank you for the gift but I am a bit sceptical if you are going to like just how social our guild is, but nonetheless we are happy to have you with us. I’m hoping that I am able to introduce you to new relationships” Acamen spoke genuinely.

“By the way, what is your name?” he asked but just as the words left his mouth he heard Beltari’s voice from behind him. He turned and saw Beltari, Isla and a new girl, standing next to them. “Is this a new member?” Acamen asked giving the girl a bright smile. “Welcome! I’m Acamen, not Mr. C,” he gave Isla the side eye real quick, “and I’m the guildmaster of Charwell. I hope Beltari and Isla have given you a good first impression of our guild. This is another new recruit. Don’t be afraid of his rough exterior I’m sure he’s a big teddy bear on the inside.” Acamen spoke about to pat the Gnoll on his back but stopped and thought better of it.

“I’m sure you did fall asleep,” Acamen spoke in a very sceptical tone. “You just need to get her a pendant, room key and if you wanted to give her a tour of the guildhall that would be great too.” Acamen smiled brightly as Beltari. “I also need someone to decorate the commons area in the guildhall for Lucinda’s party it is up to you who does which job,” he spoke looking between Isla and Beltari.

Lark was feeling a little better about her rather plain attire and she had to admit, Isla was on to something when it came to her still being able to wish Lucinda 'Happy Birthday'. Today was really turning out better than she'd expected. She'd set out days ago to join a guild and it looked like her goal would shortly be accomplished. She'd even be attending a party today! As far as she knew, she'd never been to one and wondered what it would be like. As the girl explained that there was a friend she'd like to introduce Lark to whom she described as nice but 'a bit of a prick', Lark found herself unsure of how to respond to that. Should she be wary about meeting someone described like that or excited? Isla even admitted that she'd just met him, but on the other hand, he couldn't be too bad if he was a part of the guild... Lark was saved from having to respond when the guild master himself addressed her. She turned to listen while a small smile played on her lips.

"Isla and Beltari have both been very welcoming," she assured him in a quiet if anxious voice, "It's nice to meet you." Acamen was number four in the line up of people she'd spoken to today. (Excluding the man she collided with, of course.) Eager to keep her streak going with number five, she turned to greet the other recruit but her words died in her throat when her gaze landed on two massive claws. Somehow, in the excitement of meeting people, she'd forgotten all about her curse until now, and for a moment she could feel herself being dragged back to a traumatic time when her own claws were soaked with blood. Remembering where she was, she fought against the memory and managed to stay in the present. Her momentary relapse had only lasted a few beats.

"Hello, I'm Lark," she said to the furry recruit managing to smile as she stared into his eyes. She was determined not to make eye contact with fangs or claws until she could get herself under control. She couldn't say that she'd seen anyone like him before. Was he cursed like her or was that simply the way he was? She made a mental note to ask him about it if she got the chance. Once again, she found herself saying a silent prayer that she hadn't come off as being rude.

She withdrew into herself without saying anything else while she waited to find out which guildmate would be helping her settle in.

Looking between Lark, Myrrl, and Isla, Beltari could honestly say that she had very little preference. Just from observing Isla, she could tell what Isla was going to say, so it looked like Beltari would be burning mana on decorating a giant mess hall. The whole aspect of getting to know a Gnoll was quite exciting for Beltari; she had only seen one before. Lark also seemed to catch her eye. Something about her just made Beltari interested, though she didn't know why...

Great job Beltari! You were supposed to be fine with either one; now you have a preference.... d*mn it... well. Prepping the mess hall would be easier, but it'd take so much more time and I'd probably burn through some mana for that. Eh, who cares? Certainly not our righteous Guildmaster.

Beltari smiled a bit, then turned to Isla, "I don't have a preference; I'd be happy to do either. I'll do whatever you don't want to." Well, cleaning and prepping the Guild hall would be much quieter, she could think through some philosophical questions, maybe have an existential crisis, who knows?

Isla listened to Acamen as he spoked with Lark, who seemed to be getting more and more excited. Isla couldnt blame her, she remembered when she was accepted in, even thought she had some...issues, as they’ve been described before. As the guild master noted the ‘Mr. C’ name, the blond just gave him finger guns, smirking a bit to let him know she understood.

Finally Isla turned to the gnoll. “Hello,” she said happily. She loved teddy bears, and if anyone was going to be friends with one first, it was going to be her, “I’m Isla! I’m really happy you’re joining! We are gonna be such great- wait! Did you say I could decorate?!” Isla’s sudden change of focus was now directed at the choices Acamen had given them.

“Aww, I wanna do both. Boo... well Belta-“ again she was cut off as Beltari stated that she would be alright either way. Isla squinted in concentration. This was going to be difficult..

“Well... I know you’re not very social... That’s not a bad thing of course! I’ve seen ya around the guild, reading lots of books and all! Ya know Beltari I think we should be friends too. That makes,” Isla began counting on her fingers on who she had talked to today, including Acamen and Luce, “...six? Ooh I’m so excited!” She clapped her hands happily, then immediately crosses her arms, thinking again.

“I would love to spend more time with ya Lark, but I’ve always wanted to decorate before! I’ll put up streamers and...and... glitter!”

Dacia wipes the blood off his mouth, fully healed and bones repaired and back into normal alignment/position. His anger and lust for revenge on Illyria become an obsession to him as he growls loudly at the fact that Illyria has wandered off , Smelling the air he tries to pick up a scent of Illyria ,walking back to the battle scene. wandering around the battle area that they fought for thirty minutes, Davis couldn't find the trace of Illyria at all somehow, maybe there was something Illyria did or something , that only made Dacia only angrier and angrier as he kicked a tree, not knocking it down but made a large crater in the wood. Suddenly, a new idea came to him... Illyria was with a female companion and that female companion could know where Illyria is .... a perfect idea... he remembers that Illyria pushed the girl to the bush as he walks over there, tracing his steps as he scrummages there for items. With great Luck he found parts of her clothes as he grabbed them and smelled her scent... he knew her scent and can track her...

With full on pursuit Dacia heads on the scent trail as it leads into the nearby city, relatively around the fairgrounds. Easily passing through the guards Dacia roams around the area, scouting to see the perimeter of the grounds as he finds a nearby bell tower to give a perfect eagle eye view down on the girl. Determined to achieve his objective he climbs the wall of the tower , sitting on the slanted roof of it he scans the fair to notice the girl with others, there must be a entire pack by the looks of it... this will be more difficult that he expected....

Myrrl couldn't help himself. He tried to smile as Acamen boldly took it upon himself to support the conversation, but the most he could offer was a slight curling of his lips and the tightness of his cheeks. It perhaps could be translated as a smile to the optimistic observer. As Acamen continued to speak he paid rapt attention, the large chest rising and falling as he listened. His ears perked as he was asked his name. "Name. Myrrl Boo-" he started, but Acamen was busy. The guildmaster had turned to address one of the many people who had come to address him and speak at length, and as such Myrrl let him be. He knew how to wait, and so he would. As he waited, the gaze returned to Beltari. He watched her for maybe a few seconds before looking down at himself.

This is another new recruit. Don’t be afraid of his rough exterior I’m sure he’s a big teddy bear on the inside.

Myrrl raised his gaze once more, looking to Acamen and then to the young lady he was addressing. He looked between her and the guildmaster, trying to figure out who to pay attention to.

Hello, I'm Lark.

His head cocked to one side as he tried to figure her out, but her nerves were plain to him as she slowly became more and more withdrawn. The hulking gnoll set his shields down on the ground and knelt slowly, settling until his head was level with hers. "Myrrl," he gutturally offered as best he could before curling his fist in tight against his chest. His gaze shut up suddenly as another girl spoke and diverted his attention.

I’m Isla! I’m really happy you’re joining! We are gonna be such great-

She suddenly stopped paying attention, which was fine. He held a clawed hand open toward Lark with the palm up, maintaining eye contact with her all the while.

Lark flinched, never taking her gaze off of the other new recruit as he began to set his shields on the ground. There was a sharp intake of breath that she subconsciously held as he knelt before her. Myrrl? What was that? It didn't seem like he was trying to growl at her. Her eyes lit up with recognition as she realized that he had offered his name. She gave a jerky nod to acknowledge that she understood and her muscles tense as he reacted to Isla. Somewhere in the back of her mind she was feeling annoyed with herself. It wasn't that she feared him, per se, only that he reminded her too much of her own demons. It was definitely something she'd have to get over, and she saw her chance to start when he extended his hand to her. Don't think about claws. It's not your hand. They're not your claws. She unsuccessfully willed her small, trembling hand to be steady as she moved it from her side and placed it in his. Lark let out a shaky breath as she gave a tiny squeeze.

"Nice to meet you, Myrrl." she said with certainty. And she meant it. She even managed to give him a smile that wasn't forced though she could still hear her heart pounding in her ears.

She perked up a bit turning her head in time to hear Isla's excited exclamation about decorating and something called glitter...whatever that was. "Okay, have fun! I'll see you later?" she responded with a light laugh before turning back to Myrrl.

"I suppose I'll see you later too, Myrrl. You'll be at the party, right?" Her tone was shy and only a small amount of her earlier anxiety remained. "I think, Beltari's going to give me a tour so I should go. Again, it was nice to meet you." she withdrew her hand from his and turned to Acamen. "A-and you too, guild master--I mean, Mr. C--er, Acamen." Flustered, she turned and moved over to Beltari's side. That didn't end as smoothly as she'd hoped, but she decided to dwell on the small progress she'd made instead.

Finding the location of the target Dacia slides out his bow casually, inspecting the strength of the sinew as he will be in need of making sure it's reliable. Aiming at the girl from about 100yards he places an arrow on the string and draws back " distance, about 100. Wind... medium to strong from southeast, weather... partially cloudy with incoming forecast from west of rain estimated a couple hours, probably by midnight....." he talks to himself calmly as he determined the calculations to land a shot on her or any of her allies. He could land the shot by adjusting the bow to a different direction and with force but it would be pointless to gather information, he needs to eliminate her allies first or attack alone...

He decides it's not worth firing the arrow as he puts the arrow backing I his quiver. Rappelling down the tower he lands with great speed, quickly and stealthily making his way through the crowds to her location, putting his hoodie on and bandana (from mouth to nose) he swiftly moves to near the guild stand as he stops about 20 feet from the individuals, seeing them and now hearing them clear as day he sees a Gnoll, a horned lady, a white haired human, a shadow creature man and his daughter, of course there is also his target, a skimpy weakling, perfect to take...

He decides to lean his back on one of the walls of a different stand nearby, eyeing all of the individuals and listening to them with great focus as his focus on hearing them was far beyond those of the crowd chatter. " now how to kill the others..." he murmurs softly to himself..

Isla gave a small wave to everyone, smiling from ear to ear. She liked these new people already. Finally she made her way back inside, heading towards the commons area to decorate. As she arrived, she closed her eyes, and suddenly felt two people next to her. When she opened her eyes again, she immediately felt a little more drained than she had a few seconds ago.

Standing beside her were two of...well, her. Anyone who had been observing them wouldve misaken them as triplets. They were exact copies of Isla.

“Alright listen you two! We need to get this place I'm uncultured and span for Luce’s party tonight! This place had got to be perfect, got it?” She glared at them until they both nodded. This made Isla smile.

“Great! Actually.. I think I have an idea. You two clean the place up a bit before we start decorating! I’ll be right back!” Isla skipped into the hallway and down back to Illyria’s room. At least where she remembered it being...

It took her a few rooms until she found the right one, thankful she hadnt burst into another room that contained a strange portal looking thing with weird bubbles floating from it... Isla found her friend lying on the bed, fast asleep. She rolled her eyes.

“Hey! Get up sleepin’ beauty, we have some decorating to do!” She said quite loudly in case he happened to be a heavy sleeper.

“The more the merrier is what I always say, and we can get the commons looking even better than with three people! So I need your help! Everyone else is super busy with stuff right now, plus im gonna need you to get me some paper so we can make streamers!! Oh, I’ll also need some pretty shiny things, anything you can find! And something to grind them up with!”

Illyria
TheCoRgiGaL TheCoRgiGaL

Illyria groans as he finally awakens to see a girl looking down upon him saying loud and rude stuff to him . This only angered Illyria as he got up from bed and Spartan kicked the girl out of his room to the hallway, making a indent to the wall. His eyes glaring a blazing orange as he grabs her by the neck and holds her to the wall, his thumb beneath her windpipe as he is slowly choking her " listen here maggot, I got a few rules.... first, you don't disturb my naps ( naps are life 💞) second, don't EVER yell at me loudly! And last but not least, don't ever expect me to do something for you cuz you said so, your pissing me off!" He yells at her before noticing she is almost dead so he drops her to her knees before returning to his room and slamming the door shut.

This probably would ruin the friendship between the two as illyria never follows orders unless wanting to and doesent like being disturbed. This would be a rough day for them...

Illyria decides to look at the closet before scoffing and walking back to the bed, taking a seat to lie down and face the ceiling, there is no way he will be asleep for now since he was disturbed so he will wander in his mind daydreaming.

As his mind got bored his hand wandered slowly under the bed as his hand wanders a bit through the cobwebs until he eventually pulls out a bottle of jack . Blowing away the dust off of it it was about 50 years old and really powerful stuff due to the fermentation. Opening the cork and placing it at his side he takes a swig of the drink as he clenches his teeth from how powerful it was " damn that's strong.." he coughs a bit as he puts the cork back on it and waits for his body to calm down from the intensity of the drink.

Wyren was a bit confused when Luce smiled at him but he didn't say anything about it, as long as somebody was happy he was alright. When Luce talked about pastries he wasn't sure if she was joking or being serious, it was never easy for him to determine what others were thinking or even when they were telling him something so he just listened for a while.

Although he did like eating sweet things, she was right he was only there to examine others, even it did seem a bit creepy. When Luce answered Wyren cocked his head back slightly, his eyes quickly grew wider as he was surprised by Luce's accurate responce. "How'd you know?" he asked, and even though his voice was the same, his tone became the smallest bit frantic.

Isla’s eyes widened as Illyria jumped out of bed, kicking her in her stomach and sending her flying back into the wall adjacent to his bedroom. Her head made a loud thud against before dropping to her hands and knees in an attempt to balance herself.

She looked up in time to see his hand grab at her throat a little... too tight. Suddenly she found herself stuggling for a breath of air. She desperately grabbed at his arm to tug it away but with no luck. He dropped her before she had time to react at all.

As he walked away Isla just sat there in the hallway, taking heavy, rasping breaths. The blond girl thought she was going to cry or be angry, but instead she felt..nothing. Her mind had gone blank. She thought they had been friends...

Images of when she had gone to private schools in her earlier days came flooding back unexpectedly. Everyone who had pretended to be her friend.. Everyone who had turned their back on her. Isla continued to sit alone in the hall, unaware that a nasty bruise had already begun to show around her neck.

She found she didnt feel like decorating anymore. It had been quite a terrible day for her, first getting thrown in the bush, getting scratched and having her favorite jacket all torn up.. and now this. A small yelp escaped Isla’s lips which strangely sounded a bit like a laugh. Again, her mind went blank, which caused her minions in the common room to disappear.

Eyeing corgi for a while in the fair he listens in on information of some sort of birthday party. This birthday party could be a perfect way for him to find and kill Illyria. He starts to conceive ideas of how to kill the immortal as many options arise.

Upon masterminding his assasination plot he noticed the target walking to their headquarters as Dacia followed on close by, abandoning his post before. He tried to open the door after her but it requires something to enter but he doesent know what ( maybe a pendant?) reguardless he is determined to get in as he uses his teleport to go through the door only to sense the scent trail off to three entities, two in the commons and one to the dormitory room.

Two trails are better than one he thought as he roamed cautiously and stealthily to the room only to find that his trail is at a halt, it seems as if they are gone or vanished to him, not noticing that the girl has went unconceous. By then since the area was clear he leaves the presence of the shadows and corners to roam around for clues

Beltari was a little shocked at Isla's decision, though there was little to be done about it now. "Oh okay. If you're sure." Beltari watched as the bouncy girl practically skipped back into the guild. The white-haired tiefling then looked back too Lark.

"Okay so we're going to have to see Roya. She's Charwell's resident fashion consultant. Roya also makes all pendants." Beltari pointed to the horn on the right side of her head. The pendant's string had been wrapped around her horn multiple times. Hanging tightly from the string was a small crystal; it was the same color as Beltari's eyes. "You'll be getting your own once you officially join the guild." Beltari began walking from the guild booth to the large mess hall. Inside the Islas were hard at work, all about the large hall.

"I'll give you a tour of the Charwell Guild, and we'll hopefully find Roya during some point." Walking with Lark, Beltari began taking the girl all around the large building. To the kitchen, to the garden, to the commons. It was around the commons when Beltari spotted a man which she had never seen before. A man with eyes as red as his hair. By the looks of it, he was snooping around the guild hall.

"Gods. I hope you're just some new recruit who didn't get a tour." The tone of her voice was soft but harsh. She very very slightly pushed Lark behind her and stepped forward, her hand on her book pouch, just in case.

Dacia was eyeing the room with great delight , never has he seen such a great commons area before in his life " wow , so amazing..." he murmurs to himself , still keeping his cover over his face to make sure they cannot see his full face.

His ears perked up as he heard a member talk behind him, knowing this was one of he other people that were from the stalls he knew this was the trouble he would come across. A sly response came from him as he determined they were about 15 feet away from him " hmmmmm... yeaaaaaaa.... about that..." he says cocky with a wide grin on his face.

Within a second whilst twirling to face the girl he pulled out his bow out with an arrow in his other hand as he fired his first shot at her book, all within a second as he was more speed orientated than power like Illyria.

As the first shot hopefully knocks the book away he backs away slowly with his back to probably a hallway firing arrows to the two creatures at about 32 arrow fires per minute as he was truly a slight of hand with the bow. He was surprised as he didn't notice at all Lark behind her when trying to detect as he thought it was only Beltari.

" just great... now two enemies?" He says sarcastically as reguardless he swapped his method of firing from quick single shots to double shots with the arrows now aimed to each individual lethally at the vital organs. He wasn't as fast as te single shot but the other would do as he slowly backs away in hope that she doesent just full on rush him up close and personal .

The hallway was now much quieter than before. Or perhaps it wasnt.. Maybe that was just her mind playing tricks on her again. Isla had been in the hallway for about five minutes now. She hadnt moved, hadnt said a word. Until she heard Beltari's voice off in the distance. With that, she lifted her head quickly. For some reason the sound had made her heart begin to pound, although Isla wasnt sure why. She liked Beltari just fine from the few moments she had talked with her outside. Maybe it was just the sudden noise in such a quiet place. As the blond girl looked around, she found she was alone. What had happened again? Her stomach felt like it had just been put through a grinder. Lifting her shirt just a tad, Isla found a huge bruise beginning to form on her stomach.

She stared at it for a few seconds in confused silence before finally pushing herself up. Pain shot through her immediately, causing her to give a small whimper of pain before kneeling back on the floor again. That's when it felt like her brain had kicked on again, and she was finally able to think clearly. Illyria had gotten mad at her...What had she done exactly? Now that she really couldnt remember. Why had she come in to disturb him? She shouldve known better. She wouldve been grumpy too if she didnt get to have her sleep.

No no no thats wrong Isla. You should be furious! Look what he did to you. She scolded herself. Switching tactics, she tried to copy herself so she could have someone take her to her room.

The party Isla... Her eyes widened. The party! The decorations! Oh no... How in the world was she going to decorate like this? She supposed she would have to have her copies do it for her. As long as she could keep focus this time, they would be able to get the decorations done by the time the party was ready to be held. Concentrating extremely hard through the pain that had now traveled into her neck, she felt an arm slip around her as her copy helped her up, taking her gently back to her room. She sat on her bed gently, staring at the floor in a trance like state before finally looking back up to her copy.

"The party," Isla breathed out, desperately trying to communicate what she wanted. Thankfully the other Isla just nodded in understanding. Isla copied herself once more before sending them out of the room. The two Isla's went back to the common room, working tirelessly for the party. Original Isla sure hoped they knew what they were doing.. Acamen and Luce would be so disappointed in her if it didnt have glitter. Or maybe that was just her.

The first arrow was successful in knocking the book pouch off of Beltari's waist. Unfortunately, the bag was already open, and it wasn't long before the hooded man was surrounded with books. Books of every size and color filled the hall, each and every one of their covers pointed at the intruder.

"Look. On any other day, you could kill whoever you pleased and I wouldn't bat an eye, but you're plotting to kill my family. I must say that I don't appreciate that." With the slight movement of her finger, every book snapped open towards the thief. Half of the pages began to fill with magical aura while the other half of the books simply waited. Beltari's incredibly focused mind was able to use the books to slap down most of the arrows that flew towards her, though as she moved again to push Lark away from an arrow, another slit past her shoulder, cutting away the skin.

Beltari couldn't lose enough focus to look at Lark, but she shouted, "Go get everyone else!" as the tiefling continuously pushed aside arrows. By now, she had started firing elemental beams of magic through her books, towards the intruder. The beams of energy came at random; a random elemental beam from a random book, as she desperately tried to hold back the devil in her Guild.

As thebooks we're firing magical beams at him it challenged him as he continues to fire arrow after arrow at the two , more and more as he knows he has to manœuvre past the books to block. He was getting smarter of firing his arrows. He swapped back at his single arrows as he fired about 10 more talented quick shots at the two again aimed at their bodies as he just realized something... he was out of ammo..." shit..." he mutters as he realizes the books are still firing at him but it didn't phase him as he only smiled more and more. His mentality was completely swapped from wanting to save his own life to more of a game as he has to evade the colorful beams and to destroy the books as the reward is his life.

Pulling out his cleaver and bow ( he uses the blade front section of the bow) he dual weilds his weapons as he therefore charges towards the beams, bouncing from sides of the walls to destroy the books one by one as he makes his work towards the girls.

The beams sent towards him were quick and deadly as he knows that the flaws would be fatal and loose the game but he was quicker, more agile. He has spent 2000 and more years in his life killing and performing dangerous tasks. He will not be ended by a stupid book anytime soon " ooooohhhhh !! Now your really getting me angry!" He laughs as she is running out of books

Lark followed Beltari closely. She was pleasantly surprised to find that she was becoming comfortable with someone else so quickly. She supposed it could be because of the comment that was made earlier. She felt like Beltari understood how she felt, and this made her want to open up to her. Was this what friendship was like? She decided it was a feeling she could get behind. Lark listened attentively as Beltari explained about Roya and the pendants. She couldn't help but be amazed as she was given a tour of the guild hall. It was more than grand in comparison to the humble places she'd lived in the past. When they reached the commons, she caught a glimpse of a person with red hair and was mentally preparing to introduce herself only to freeze up when she heard Beltari's tone. It seemed that the two were not familiar with each other.

Instinctively, Lark took a hesitant step back even as Beltari moved to shield her. She didn't like the tiefling's body language; it made her want to run and she wasn't yet sure if the situation called for that just yet. Among the things she didn't like at the moment was grin the stranger was giving them. Before she knew it, he'd pulled out a bow and an arrow had knocked the pouch off of Beltari's waist. Books were spilling out by the dozen, but Lark's terrified gazed was only for the arrow stood embedded in the ground next to her. Fear settled like a rock in her stomach as images flashed through her mind. Blood. Fangs. Arrows. Claws. Limbs. Bloo--Lark was jolted from her thoughts when she was pushed just in time for an arrow to whizz past her head. This time when the instinct to run threatened to overtake her, she let it. Go get everyone else? That she could do. If she was confident in anything, it was her running abilities. She was fast and she knew it. It was the only reason she'd survived this long.

Lark let her legs carry her all the way back to the guild tent as she frantically tried to process what had just happened and how to say what she needed to say. She was so absorbed in her thinking that she nearly ran past the very person she needed to speak to causing her to come to an ungraceful halt. "Help, please." she blurted out reaching out to grab Acamen's arm in an effort to express how desperate she was. "Beltari's being attacked. She's in the commons at the guild hall. Hurry." Her words were rushed but she managed to get her point across before gasping for air.

Beltari stood in that hallway, firing beams at the intruder, when he must have ran out of arrows. About to go rush him down, the hooded rogue began cutting her books up. Her books! Not the first time it had happened, but Beltari never engaged in one on one combat enough to deal with this properly. All that she knew is that she was pissed. Beltari watched as he continued to cut things down. One after one, the covers fell to the ground; Wildwood, The Edge of the World, The Letter Thief, The Thing with Feathers, Ravenmaster, some of her favorite books!

"Books don't grow on trees you d*ckhead!" She took a breath, in attempt to calm herself. The books don't respond well to such emotions, "It's fine. It's fine. I'll- just use the money off your corpse to buy new ones." This is when an idea came. She'd have to get to her dorm. The room that was at the end of the hall; the same end of the hall that the man had been firing arrows from, but now he was coming for her. Perfect. The tie fling's attacks saw no wavering as a medium sized Taming of the Rat slowly slipped behind her. As the distance between the two got shorter and shorter, Beltari sent a smaller Catcher in the Wheat flying behind the man.

The second that he was too close for comfort, she jumped onto the pages of Taming of the Rat and flew out of the Catcher. As she exited, Beltari made an attempt to whack the man in the head, from behind, with a large book.

"Man. Seal magic is great isn't it?" She took a small key off of her belt and unlocked her room. Her library of a room. The wound on her shoulder wasn't helping at all, but what choice did Beltari have but to keep going? The tiefling flung the door open and a bookshelf full of papers and documents and novels flew into the hallway. "I've always wanted to try that. Thanks." A small grin entered her face.

Tearing the books piece by piece he growls loudly to the girl as the books she flies out at him he cuts Down only too focused on the books he didn't realize she moved past him and hit him on the head, knocking him on the floor dazed.

He only was dazed for a second only to realize that she was to her own room, probably to get more books he calculated. " shit..." he murmured as he looks at all the worn pages and dead paper books, the flammable paper gives him an idea as he pulls out of one of his pockets a lighter as he gathers the papers he chopped down, and set them up so he si between him and her room, igniting the papers it sets up a large fire as the flames he was determined to set up a barrier between him and the girl. As she bursted out of the room the fires were raised high with the smell of burning paper." Payback's a bitch..." he muttered to her before retreating towards the exit door, covering his escape.

Isla was on the bed, her wounds making it very hard to concentrate on basically anything else. Suddenly a frantic pounding down the hallway made Isla look up toward her door. It sounded like someone was running..

Getting up slowly, she made her way painfully over to her door, opening it a bit and peeking out just in time to see Lark running down the hallway, making her way outside.

What the..? Finally Isla stepped out of the room, her confusion growing as she heard a lot of ruckus in the commons. What were the other Isla’s doing?! As she stepped out to go to the commons, assuming Lark and Beltari had seen her copies doing something they shouldnt be, she decided to go get them before she got in trouble.

But she stopped dead as she made her way down a few hallways, noticing Beltari trying to get into her room. She looked extremely on edge.

“Beltari?!” She called out just as a whole bunch of books, papers, and other types of reading material rushing out of her room into the hallway. Isla yelped in surprise, looking around in confusion. Finally she decided to make her way to Beltari’s library, her movement slower due to her bruises. As she began to follow her friend, a new guy had appeared, someone she had never seen before.

Little did she know this was the guy who had attacked Illyria earlier. He lit the books on fire, and Isla gasped. Beltari was going to kill him.

“HEY!” Isla shouted at the man, not thinking about the kind of condition she was in. Suddenly two of her copies appeared , one beside her and one blocking the exit he was aiming for.

Beltari, in an incredible rage and panic picked up one of her large metal tomes and began whacking at the fire, in a desperate attempt to put it out. Tieflings do have a natural resistance to fire. Unfortunately, books do not, so the frantic desperation of her action became more furious. Down the hall she heard Isla give an incredible shout. Oh Gods she's about to challenge him.

"ISLA! That man will kill you! Make no hesitations!" The fire had been mostly put out, but there was now an obvious char on the wooden floor below her. This man fights at a range. If I can keep all my attacks close to him.... Beltari eyed the greatsword and shield display above her bookshelf. It would take a few minutes, but desperately, Beltari climbed up to the display and ripped the items off the wall.

The girl sat down at her desk, ground up some Moonweed and began to inscribe a sigma on the hilt of the sword.

Maybe a minute later she had completed the seal, now for the shield. This would be much more tedious. The larger an object is, and the less often Beltari had created a seal on it, the longer it took. With incredible desperation, Beltari focussed her gaze and began formulating the second seal.

Isla barely heard Beltari over the raging fire, but managed to pick out a few words.

Will kill you

Isla didnt have to be a scientist to figure out what she had said. Her clone that had been blocking the exit ran at the stranger. Instead of attacking him from the front, she slid underneath him and jumped on his back, her nails digging into his eyes. The clone that stood next to the original Isla was just for protection, but she was ready to fight if necessary.

Isla stood back, taking in the scene. The fire was heating everyting up very quickly, but the blond girl didnt move a muscle. She wasnt scared to die. This man did not scare her. The fire did not scare her. She just watched her clone fight to the death with this man. Thats all she could do really, and she was ok with that.

She wanted Beltari to be ok. She couldnt hear her moving in the room, and this is what started to panic the girl a little. She motioned for her other clone to follow her closely, both of them keeping low because of the smoke that now filled the place. As they neared the fire, Isla looked desperately for a way to look into the room, but couldnt find one.

“Beltari?! Are you alright?!” She yelled into the fire, not even sure if the girl would be able to hear her.
