Isla laughed as Illyria patted her gently. She dangled her legs over the counter and swung them, keeping a curious eye on her new friend.

"Alright, well I like that kinda spirit better anyway! And It's ok if you don't have an answer... like I dont have an answer as to what my favorite animal is! I like corgis just fine, see?" She held up her tiny charm she kept attached to her skirt by a small chain. It was in the shape of a corgi dog. "But I also really like dolphins. Sometimes you kinda just gotta do what you gotta do I guess... I've never really traveled a whole lot, but I'll bet you have a lot of fun! I'm really glad you came, I hope you'll be able to stay for Luce's party, I think she will really like that."

Finally Isla jumped off of the booth, her pigtails swinging wildly. She had her eyes set on the new guy with the toffee. "You want some candy Illyria? I'll get you some." Half of her offer was for the candy, the other half an attempt to get him to stay longer. Of course she didn't expect the boy to leave right now, he had just gotten here. But nobody could resist candy! But before she could go and ask the man for the sweets, her mind changed course again and she turned back to her friend, curiously gazing at his scars.

"Umm...what are those about? Your scars I mean? Do they hurt?" Maybe the toffee would help?

Illyria stands strong yet neutral looking keen at the girl as she talks all about the animals she likes and such, sure it's cute for her to express herself but it's not really all that interesting as he kinda just nods his head and does a very convincing imitation that he was listening .

His head was split in half when it comes to the focuses on his agenda , half of him wants to see his old room with the rest of his gear to move In and the other half was somewhat intrigued to talk to her. Her offering of toffee to him was a kind and sweet guesture as he raised his hand halfway to her and shook his head " Candy can be tasty and all but it's not what I'm craving right now ..." he contemplates upon the though of carrying his gear back to guild hq to settle in once more.

He looks down at the girl with a bit of remorse as she mentions about his scars and such . With a soft voice but firm he responds " it hurts more of memory than of the physical perminant scar... counting the one on my face it's safe to say I have about 42 on my body in all shapes and sizes, tho most are on my body, arms and legs " he admits but is not willing to tell her of the story of how his face obtained such a dangerous scar that nearly ended his life.

Somehow assuming she has better things to do he simply wanders away from the girl like he does normally of the guild without warning, maneuvering his way through the crowds as he puts his hoodie back on, making his way back to the sacred forest in order to grab his loot to haul over to the guild, unsure if the girl was following or not... or anyone really...

Pain flashed in Lark's eyes when the girl mentioned loneliness. The feeling was all too fresh and common for her not to be affected by the mention of it. But hey, she was speaking to someone now, so that counted for something. "Nice to meet you, L-Luce." saying someone else's name felt foreign to her. "I'm Lark..." she trailed off as a tiefling began to speak to Lucinda. She hadn't realized that anyone would want to know anything about her and was just feeling relieved that she didn't have to tell her story just yet as she hadn't prepared for it when she realized that they must know each other and her black eyes widened as she watched the exchange.

"Oh!" Lark exclaimed in quiet shock as Luce admitted she was already a part of the guild she was looking to join. Her anxiety spiked a little as her thoughts ran wild, Are you looking to join the guild? she silently mocked herself. Way to go, Lark, you were talking to a guild member. And it's her birthday! You should've said 'Happy Birthday' before she walked away. That was rude of you. Also, why didn't you smile more? She probably thinks you're weird. Wait! What are you doing, she left you with her friend!

At this point, Lark pulled herself from her thought spiral and abruptly turned to the tiefling with a flushed face and an awkward, forced smile. Her hands were shaking as she took the candy that was offered to her and she held it oddly between her fingers instead of putting it in her mouth as she was becoming too nervous to function. "Lark!" she yelled in a voice that was all too cheery and loud. Her blushed deepened with embarrassment. "I'm Lark," she whispered looking anywhere but at Beltari's face.

Listening to his story with intense interest, she wasnt exactly sure what to say when he finally came to his cliffhanger of a conclusion about his scars. He had so many, and yet Isla hadnt learned anything about them. She was sure that all of those markings had some significance though, and she decided that her conclusion was supported as he seemed to want to be anywhere but here at this point.

Isla tapped her fingers together and opened her mouth to say something, but Illyria had already made his way off. The blond girl huffed in frustration. Keeping him around was going to be much harder than expected... she wasnt deterred though. She would find some way to keep him from leaving again. Besides, the boss man said something about her attempting to keep the boy around as no one else had seemed to be able to do so yet.

So she gave a sorrowful look back at the candy before following her new friend to...wherever it was he was headed.

“Hey wait up, I’m not done talkin’ to you! Where the heck are you going?”

Illyria was continuing his movement through the bustling crowds as he was determined to be alone by then , not noticing that Isla was following him. As he finally walked out of the fair he wanders out of the city as he ventured down a dirt path, surely leading to the sacred land that he has hidden all of his valuables with him.

As he reaches he sacred forest he takes in a deep sigh and takes the foliage off of his valuables , making sure that everything was in check as it made a smile to his heart that nothing was touched ... but he was not alone...

Pulling out his mace with haste he grabs the unsuspecting stalker and raises the mace to bash its head into pieces before realizing it's the small girl he met before " you need to be careful out here.. it's not safe for you ..." he growls into Isla's ear before his ears perk up, hearing the pulling and stretching of sinew he threw Isla into the bushes with force as a arrow whizzed pst him barely as his body reflexes avoid getting hit by the arrow. If he didn't push her away it would have struck her heart dead as he turns around to face the other hooded and cloaked individual, glowing with orange eyes as he readied another arrow , aiming at Illyria, seems like today is not his perfect day ..." stay down .." he yells at Isla so she doesent have to die in the process of another great power conflict.

"Yup!" said Wyatt, whose typical foolish grin was now plastered on his face. He was overjoyed at how things were turning out.
"I draw out the current from a conductive material and use it for a bunch of things. Magical engineers use it to power machines and diagnose faults, but I've developed a few ways to use it for attack."

He took the pendant and looked closely at it.
"Ah. This is... silver? Perfect. Teacher, check this out!" he said to Roya.
Wyatt held out the pendant and for a moment, his foolish grin vanished as his face settled into one of pure concentration. With a burst of light, Wyatt forced out ball of lightning.
The pendant was crackling with reams of energy, but Wyatt didn't seem to notice it.
"When I force the current out of a material, it becomes highly positively charged. It'll want to replace the electric current that I took from it. To make sure I don't get electrocuted I make certain that any charge that flows through me is dispersed via surface currents. It's taken me a year to perfect this technique!"
With that, Wyatt returned the current to the pendant.

Unfortunately, Wyatt had forgotten how much static electricity such a technique generated.
Both his and Roya's hair had taken to standing on end.

Isla frowned as Illyira hadnt seemed to hear her. However, she continued to skip after him, undettered by the sudden change in scenery. As they finally seemed to reach their destination, she looked around in wonder. It was a small place, very hidden and covered, but it was very beautiful to her.

“You have a-“ she began, but was suddenly grabbed harshly by Illyria, who apparently hadnt noticed her that whole time. It didnt scare Isla, but she still struggled against his grasp, her face pulling into a frown again.

“Hey, thats no way to treat a lady! I’m trying to be as care-Agh!” The blond girl was cut off again as she was thrown into nearby bushes. The branches cut at her skin and she heard something rip, but she wasnt sure what it was... she was going to look so unacceptable for Luce’s party...

Finally she was about to yell at Illyria for being so inconsiderate before she realized that they might be in danger. She managed to stay as still as one possibly could in a bush, but still tried to peak at whoever or whatever they were supposed to be scared of.

Now at the start of the day, Beltari wouldn't have mind if she was just allowed to study in her room all day, maybe do some walking in the bazar, but that plan's clearly out the window.

Then the girl spurted out her name, then a second time, in a much softer manner. Beltari wasn't too shaken by the small girl's anxiousness. It's a feeling that she used to know quite well. The feeling that everyone's judging you behind your back and the feeling that they all hate you, even though you've done nothing. Generally, Beltari wouldn't feel too bad about leaving a conversation, but if she left this one, she'd feel awful. "If you're telling yourself 'I'm sorry' over and over in your head, don't worry about it. I don't think this guild's about that stuff. And it's nice to meet you Lark."

Beltari slightly turned to Acamen, "Hey Guildmaster, how do I officially get people into the guild? I-" She was sleeping during that meeting "I- spaded out."

Illyria, taking off his hoodie and exposing himself to the unknown enemy he growls at the hooded and masked man with a bow aimed at him. Taking off the chaos amulet Illyria's eyes glow a neon orange ring along the outer ring of his iris as he starts to expend his chaos energy, releasing his powers. " reveal yourself coward!" He demands as his enemy stops for a moment " as you wish..." he says with his voice muffled from the mask

Taking off the mask and hoodie to the side it revealed Illyria's long old rival, Dacia...
82e03ff5f673f8e8022c58d3e3a6d8ba.jpg

Without hesitation Illyria's natural reflexes take the best of him as he rushes with great speed towards his rival. Dacia knows Illyria well as he uses his bow to fire quick shots at his enemy at about 31 shots a minute. Illyria's mace in hand as he swiftly doges the arrows to the best of his ability but took in two arrows as one is in the thigh as the other is in the shoulder.

Illyria took refuge from further arrow fired behind a thick oak tree, grunting lightly as he grabbed each arrow and pulled them out of his body making him bleed. He did not care for he blood and pain as he has his mindset in tact to achieve his goal...

The healing of illyria in that case made Dacia get the perfect opportunity to strike . He pulled out his cleaver and teleported to Illyria infront of him " surprise ya bastard!" He shouts as he sidestrikes Illyria with great force only to be blocked with ease by his mace. "You are so predictable Dacia..." he smirks as he grips onto Dacia's cleaver holding wrist as he uses his mace to deliver a devastating blow to Dacia's ribcage, shattering almost all of the bones there making him turn limp and seemingly dead...

With the assumption that Dacia is gone forever Illyria ungrasps the lad and walks off from the body , only to hear the sound of Dacia teleporting away somewhere...* Dacia exits the scene* they will fight again someday but now is not the time as Illyria needs to heal first...

Finally limping back to the loot Stache he sits on the pile of loot to re-equip his chaos necklace to return normal. Panting heavily as he groans in pain from the arrows he digs his hand into one of the loot bags to pull out some dried beef, he could only think of one thing right now and that was to consume, consume, consume. He viciously dug into the meat and gorged himself with the delicious food as his body starts to repair itself, the marks where the arrows left him injured have regrown in flesh and when he was finished eating, everything was back to normal... except the scars were formed where the arrows pierced his skin..

Before she could jump into the action, it had ended. Isla dug herself out of the bush, her eyes alight with anger. Twigs stuck comically out of her hair, and scratches covered her cheeks, arms, and legs. It turned out that her black jacket was the thing that had been ripped.

“What the hell was that Illyria??!” She rarely lost her cool with her friends, but she definitely wasnt one to get pushed around. Digging a small blade that was held in the waistline of her skirt, she held it tightly in her hand. She dug into it so hard her hand had begun bleeding. Isla vaguely felt the blood dripping down to her knuckles, but it calmed her down. She meant to go after him, but suddenly she began feeling choked up.

“I try to be so nice to you and- and...” her eyes began to water. She let out a small giggle though as she took sight of her friend. Isla could tell he had been injured, but she wasnt exactly sure what had happened as she couldnt see anything through the stupid bush. Of course it wasnt funny that he had been injured, but she couldnt tell what emotion was trying to bubble its way to the surface.

“What happened...to you?” She asked him, her voice strained from keeping herself from sobbing.

Lark's eyes widened and she stared at Beltari for a few moments. The tiefling's accurate description of how she was feeling had taken her aback. She had to admit that the words were somehow comforting. As far as she knew, it wasn't her fault that her life had turned out the way it did; so why should she feel sorry for every single little thing? Her new comrade may have been onto something and she was relieved to hear that the pressure she felt to be perfect would only be coming from her own warped way of thinking and not her guildmates. She silently promised to keep that in mind as she hopefully learned to control her anxiety.

"Thank you." she said sincerely feeling reassured by Beltari's words. At the word 'Guildmaster', Lark's newfound reassurance nearly left her and she glanced shyly between the tiefling and the guildmaster. She was hopeful, but unsure of what to do next.

Illyria, , seared as he is finally healed and ready to stop gorging the dried meat, faces her and relaxes himself as he places one hand at his head and holsters his mace tiredly " ugh..... just a old rival..." he murmurs to her, he didn't regret throwing her to the bush but didn't take any pleasure from it.

He stretches his arms out casually and take in a deep breath before he gets up and starts to haul most of his loot on his back " do you mind carrying some of these items ?" He asks curiously to her as he points to a few golden relics weighing a total of 50 lbs. he looks at her bleeding knuckles and looks at her mixed emotions before questioning " you alright there lass?"

Old rival huh? Someone should put a leash on the mad man.. Isla thought coldly as she gazed at Illyria. She sniffled a few times before finally dropping the knife she was carrying. It made a soft thud on the ground near her feet, and she didn't bother to retrieve it.

"Oh don't mind me, I-I'm just all scratched up and stuff... someone hurt you.. and Luce's party." She wailed, remembering again that there was no way she could show up at her friend's birthday in this state. Isla wasn't exactly sure what she was trying to say right now, so she didn't bother trying. Instead she walked over to the loot and grabbed it, huffing as she cradled it in her arms.

"Let's just.. go back to the fair. I'm sure they still need some help recruiting new members and stuff..." She didn't bother trying to pick the twigs and leaves from her hair. She would tend to herself once they got back. Isla began to walk in the direction they had first entered from, but realized she didn't exactly know where she was going, so she stood aside to let her friend go first. Tears still stung in her eyes and one managed to escape, making a water trail down her cheek, but she ignored it. She made a mental note to keep an eye on Illyria in case he was too hurt to make it back, although she doubted that he was.

Illyria notices the girl in a depressed and sad mental state as he looks at her torn clothes and dirty ness, he shrugs it off and continues to lead the way out of the forest with about 300lbs of items. " we are going to my room in the guild, you can lay the belongings wherever you want and I'll deal with it ..." he looks back to her, making sure she is close to him, hoping she doesent just wander off with his treasures as he fought tooth and blood for the loot he has on his back and on her arms, mostly golden items and legendary stuff from his journeys.

As he reached past the usual enterance he paid no attention to the others really as he wandered off to his chambers. The door handle coated in cobwebs gave a welcoming sigh to him that no one touched his room since he left it as he opened the door with ease to witness his room. As usual the room was just like it used to be but filled with cobwebs and dust . Casually he drops all of his stuff on the floor indiscriminately as he looks back to her, stretching his back " so, what kind of dresses do you like and what are your favorite color ?" He asks curiously as he was unsure what clothing she really liked or got to know her at all really. This seemed like the only second bonding moment I guess.

Out of nowhere as she dropped his loot somewhere he wraps his arms around her and gave a small kiss on her forehead. Reasons being unknown but it was a very sweet and questionably romantic guesture as he looks into her soft eyes as he sees how vulnerable she really is...

Myrrl had idled, trying to keep up with everything that the man had been saying to him. He had been asked a question. "Join? Help. Protect." Myrrl flexed his considerable musculature, raising the spiked shields and bouncing them a bit so that it was obvious what he was talking about. "Fight." His gaze fell back to Beltari, then returned to Acamen. It wasn't his fault, but the original joke had slid well beyond the gnoll. After a moment he set his right shield down and unstrapped one of the pouches tied to his belt, handing it forward. Inside was an olive-wood hairbrush, a present he had been told to bring along by the Captain before his departure. "Gift," he murmured, trying to give it to Acamen. "Gift."

The scents of the bazaar were varied and (on occasion) strong. His face remained forward, but his nostrils continued to flare and flex as he took in scent after scent. His gaze jumped now and again, the stimulus of sound and scent pairing with sight to border on overwhelming. Still, he had something he needed to do here and now. He awaited his judgment and to see how the gift would be received.

From the chaos warp teleport Dacia falls to the floor, his rib cage mashed, one of his lungs punctured from the bone fragments, and gasping for air. Slowly rising from the ground he groans softly to the pain as he vomits his own blood , there was nothing good happening to him Other than his clinging life...

He couldn't give up so easily, he had to at least try to survive. Tears drop down his eyes as he runs away as fast as he can , blood trickling down his mouth as his mind is slowly fading. All was about to end in Dacia's running spree until he slammed into a lone poacher, hunting illegally in God's sacred land. Both being knocked to the ground as The hunter saw an injured man that can be a captive Dacia only saw his next meal~

Coughing up blood onto the poacher distracted him as he starts to run his eyes swearing at Dacia as Dacia buries his head into the man's neck and devours his flesh alive. Fifteen minutes later Dacia finished his gorging as he rises from the ground fully healed with a massive chest scar where Illyria hit him. Only looking for greater revenge than before " I'm coming for you Illyria..." he smiles chuckling to himself over the dead body ..

Isla followed closely. As they got back to the fair, she kept an eye out for the guy with the candy. She wondered if he was going to be at the party tonight? She wanted desperately to go talk to the others and find out if they had gotten new members yet, but she kept close behind Illyria, also hoping nobody noticed how scratched up she was. Although there was no way she would be able to hide the bleeding cut on her hand nor the various scratches she had received from the bush during the party. Perhaps she could just have one of her copies go to the party for her..? But as soon as she had thought that she felt extremely guilty. Not only did she really want to go herself anyways, but she knew Lucinda's keen eye wouldn't pass over her ruse. As they reached Illyria's room, they set the loot down. Isla sighed as the extra weight was gone, and she flexed her hand.

She noticed she had accidentally gotten blood on the bag of loot, so she immediately grasped her injured hand with the other so as not to bleed on anything else.

"Sorry.. about the blood," was all she could manage. Thankfully the tears were gone, and Isla didn't feel like crying anymore, although some of the anger from before had resurfaced again. She managed to hold it in.

"What do you mean... About the dresses? I um.. I like all kinds of dresses I suppose..." She thought for a moment, trying to think of styles of dresses she had seen others wear before.

"Well not the long kind though! Those get in the way. I love short fluffy dresses," the girl exclaimed happily. Talking about the dresses began to cheer her up immensely, "and my favorite color is yellow! All kinds of yellow! Sparkly yellow, pastel yellow..! Why do you ask?"

Illyria
TheCoRgiGaL TheCoRgiGaL

Illyria wandered away from her to the closet as he was disappointed that some of his loot was damaged. Pulling out gauze bandage he wraps around her hand that's bleeding and puts on small bandaids on her little cuts and wounds.

He starts to think a bit as he removes the dust from his bed and eventually lays down thinking " I'm just thinking and such ya know, like isn't that what friends are supposed to do? Ask things about eachother ?" He questions her curiously for confirmation, " you should probably go back to the fair and all that silly stuff, just find me before the party, I wanted to talk to you more..."

He smiles and gets out of the bed to grab a golden purse and exits out of the room, doing another one of his wandering things again as he assumes that she was not wanting to talk to him ...

...Thats what friends are supposed to do..?

Isla couldnt help but smile at the word. So he considered them friends now! She was so happy that she couldnt stop herself from giggling.

“I suppose it is!” She nodded enthusiastically. She lightly touched the bandages that Illyria had given her, but before she could thank him he stood up and walked out. Not before mentioning that she should come and find him before the party.

He wants to talk to me more?! Isla smiled from ear to ear at this. No wonder everyone liked him. Although he could be a real pain sometimes, she supposed everyone could ever now and again. She looked back down at her bandaged hand before deciding he was right. She did need to get back to the fair.

She finally stood up and headed out of his room, but first decided to make a stop at hers. As she closed the door softly behind her, Isla went over to her small vanity mirror that was pushed up against the wall. She took her pigtails out, letting her long blond hair fall messily around her. The girl began picking the twigs and leaves out, wincing when they were being stubborn.

After she had decided it was the best she was going to get, she slid off her jacket, admiring the small tear in her left sleeve. She sighed and threw it on her bed, leaving her in a small white T-shirt and her skirt. Although they were dirty as well, Isla couldnt wait another minute.

Finally she headed back outside, looking around for familiar faces. Then she remembered... the candy! Isla remembered the last time she had seen him was by Acamen, so she looked around for her guild master only to find him caught up in conversation with a large beast that kind of looked like a dog. Then she spotted a girl that she remembered seeing around the guild, but was fairly sure she had never had a proper conversation with. She was standing next to a smaller girl, one with pretty white hair.

Isla made her way over to them, wondering what was going on. She came up next to the new girl, giving her the biggest smile she could muster to make up for her ragged appearance at the moment.

“Hello! I’m Isla! I know its said ‘EYE-LUH’, but its spelled comletely different. I’ve never seen you around either, are you here to join the guild?” Isla turned to Beltari, waving at her as well although she seemed to be caught up in getting Acamen’s attention.

Illyria
No one to mention really that's was of intention.

Isla was not the only person to have tears and tattered apparel as Illyria has all the dirt and grime over his broken armor. What's the point of armor if they break so easily to other powerful beasts like chaos minors.... he sighs and pocketed the coin purse and headed into the fair

Walking to the crowds he slips to and fro almost every person wandering around aimlessly it seems as he has nothing better to do until he winds into a boutique~ Giving a deep sigh he walks in the clothing store with a determined mind...

* about five minutes later*

Illyria rolls his eyes walking out of the store carrying a bag with him on one hand. Shopping was pointless but it's something people do all the time and it's easier than killing people that's for sure. Reguardless he places his other hand over his pace to make sure no pickpockets dare to think of snatching his items he paid for.

Eventually he wandered back into his room with a deep sigh, looking over the gear and mess that's made as it would take all day for him to clean up , but what to do with the new bag? Shrugging his shoulders he figures he will do it for another day as he walks over to the closet and places the bag there alongside with a lot of other items that was hauled there but made sure the bag wasn't crushed. Closing his crammed closet he closes the door to his room and takes a nap on his dusty bed.

Wyren turned his head around to see Luce, he didn't know much about her as he wasn't prone to asking many questions but he did know she was Acamen's daughter. "Yeah, especially considering I'm. not to good with kids" he said "but I do have 4 brothers" Wyren finished while rubbing the back of his neck. Wyren didn't usually like telling people about himself, but those are the types of things he didn't mind sharing.

He got up to answer Luce's other question and just shrugged, he came to the festival to observe other guilds but he was a bit curious about Luce. "Well..." he said, tapping his chin with his index finger as he looked up, "Why do you think I'm standing here?" He finished his sentence, then he looked back down at Luce crossing his arms. He usually just crossed his arms because it felt good and it was a familiar position for him to be in, but sometimes others though he was angry with them.

Roya had started to process multiple calculations as she observed Wyatt with intense concentration. This young woman was an incredible genius and had made a name for herself fairly early on, but for her guildmates they knew this was not a constant. When she is sober she basically works as the guild's secretary, treasury, among other things. Sober Roya gets things done and when the gears in her head start to turn something will come about at the very least at the end of the day.

When Wyatt mentioned the pendat Roya smiled,"Ahhh, yes it. Later tonight, I will be enchanting all of the pendants, after you have become official members of the guild. Each member's pendant allows the owner to send out a distress signal and Master Acamen is able to activate a 'Call to Hall' which calls all members to the guild hall" Roya's words rolled off her tongue as she observed Wyatt pull the current out of the silver.

"Ugh!" Roya quickly form a black crystal that quickly made it's way through her hair. Roya started to braid her hair afterwards, while the crystal stopped next to her head,"Black tourmaline this is! It is one of many crystals that absorb electricity and electromagnetism." Roya finished her braid and let it fall over her shoulder. She clapped her hands together with a smile,"Yes....I see our future together and it is bright, my friend. That technique, in combat you could turn your opponent into a lighting rod without them even realizing it! Sooooo Fascinating!!" Roya did a little happy jump as her mind started to calculate all the ways he could use his powers with herself and others.

Wyatt was in complete shock when he saw Roya's crystal magic.
Metals were, as per current understanding, thought to be crystalline structures with an 'electric fluid' that flowed within them. It was hard enough manipulating the purest of metals; the majority of a magical engineer's education was based around metal manipulation. After four years of study, the magical engineer would be able to manipulate pure iron. Talented magical engineers could work with steel and the greatest could manipulate complex but only metallic alloys on a good day.
Roya was casually manipulating extremely complex crystalline compounds. Effortlessly. She was even drawing out their innate spiritual properties at the same time!
"Woah... that's incredible. How did you learn-" began Wyatt, but he remembered Roya's comment about her past. He assumed that she had a dark past, so he decided to avoid the subject and just live in the moment. Why ruin the mood?

"It's destiny that I came here, teacher!" exclaimed Wyatt, who was quivering with excitement. "Our techniques would work so well together! Say, d'you have any books on crystals that I can read? I think I'd be more useful to you if I got up-to-date with all the literature first. In fact, d'you know where I can find books in general? Does the guild have a library?"
Anybody could see that his enthusiasm was completely genuine: Wyatt was turning out to be the perfect lab assistant.

Lark turned to regard Isla with eyes wide in surprise that yet another person was speaking to her. This was definitely going to take some getting used to. Even though she hadn't spoken much, this had to be the most she'd ever said in one day. It only took a second for her to take in the newcomer's appearance.

"Ah, you look rough, Number 3!" as soon as the exclamation left her mouth, she felt as though her head would explode with the heat that rushed to her face. Now she'd done it. Once again, her anxiety spiked and any control she'd gained over it was utterly gone. "Ooooh... I--What I meant to say w-w-was..." her next words came out in a squeaky rush. "My name is Lark. I'd like to join the guild. Beltari has been kind enough to help me. U-um, nice to meet you. Are you in the guild?"

She couldn't help but hold her breath as she waited for Isla's reply. What was that? It may have been too much to expect to be completely normal in interacting with people, but she wondered if she could at least manage to stop putting her foot in her mouth. "Isla is a pretty name." she whispered as she gave the blonde a shy smile. She was secretly hoping that she hadn't offended her.

Isla stared at the girl, complete confusion and amusement masking her face. Finally she burst out laughing.

“Aww Lark! You think my name is pretty, Lark is a good name too silly! Also yep, I am in the guild. Its the best, altough the boss man is gonna take some getting used to.” She said this under her breath in a joking tone, aware that the guild master was only a few feet away.

“You seem real nervous,” she continued, “are you alright? Ya know, joining this guild isnt as hard or as bad as some say it is! I have no doubt youll get in, especially with your energy! Well...not that you have much energy, but you sure now how to say what you’re thinkin and I think a lot of us here could use somethin as fun as that!” Isla spoke hurriedly and excitedly, the thought of a new person in the guild besides her making her mind wonder with all of the possibilities of adventure.

She gave the girl a small smile. “Anywho, I really hope you’ll get to join, you and I would have so much fun! Did you know today is Luce’s party? You know Luce right? I think I saw her help you up earlier. I’m kinda the unofficial official inviter to the party, and I totally think you should come.”

Embarrassment played on Lark's features. From the way Isla laughed, she guessed that it was safe to say her words hadn't been offensive. She raised an eyebrow in the guild master's direction at the girl's suggestion that she'd have to get used to him, but before she could dwell too long on what that meant, her attention snapped back to the blonde as she spoke. Everyone she'd met so far was so kind and reassuring that she couldn't help but feel hopeful that she was making the right decision. There was a small part of her that wondered why she didn't push herself to do this sooner. With that, she began to feel self-conscious of the years she isolated herself. This made her even more hesitant to share her past with her new companions.

"I'm okay!" she blurted out a little unconvincingly before continuing with an earnest smile, "I believe you. I'm really glad that I came here today. I just... need to brush up on my social skills. It's been quite some time since I've conversed with other people."

Suddenly, the smile faded from Lark's face and a solemn look replaced it. "A party?" she was quiet for a few beats.

"But I don't have anything to wear or a gift to bring... I even missed my chance to say Happy Birthday. Is that okay? Can I still go?" she asked uncertainly.
