Tribute
Name: Rigg Everbreath
Age: 13
District: 6
Personality: Being the middle child of a large family Rigg is not unfamiliar with feeling alone in a crowd, but has learned to use this to his advantage. He, along with being smart, has the tendency to be very quite and can easily fly under the radar in most situations. He is particularly fond of his youngest sibling and would do almost anything (and he has only barely escaped trouble on a number of occasions) for her. He has a quite kind of surety about him, he doesn't flaunt himself and is an easy person to vent to when needed.
Background: Rigg is the middle child of 5 siblings, and largely overlooked. He is ordinary in all ways except one; he is extremely smart. Smarter than most of his family and could have easily skipped grades in school except that they don't allow it. So instead the school lets him leave part way through the day to work with the adults so long as he attends all of his mandatory lectures and can keep up his grades. As smart as he is, outside of manufacturing machine parts he has no practical knowledge of how to survive or fight. He has always been a quick study though.
Extra(optional): face claim: young(er) Collin Ford

Name: Marcus Stephan Reynolds

Age: 17

District: 1 -> District 1 is one of the wealthiest districts of Panem. Its primary industry is manufacturing luxury items, such as jewelry, for the Capitol. As a result, District 1 has a generally favorable relationship with the Capitol, though it is still not excused from the annual Hunger Games.

Personality: He tries to stay out of long conversations and doesn’t talk unless he absolutely has too. He doesn’t enjoy killing or harming people, but won’t hesitate to do it if they are a direct threat to him or those he cares about. He goes for the kill rather than trying to disable, and would rather eat a knife than admit he is in the wrong. He is a good person if it benefits him, but won’t go out of his way to help people. A true Neutral, if you might. He has no loyalty to anyone, and if he had to put a bullet through his parents’ head to achieve something, he would. He doesn’t work well with others and as a result tends to stay away from the big groups of people. He will not team up with the rest of the Careers, mostly because he doesn’t trust them not to put a knife through his back.

Background: Born and raised a warrior, Marcus grew up in an absolutely horrible family who pointed out his flaws and only his flaws, refusing to help him when he got himself in trouble and leaving him to fend for himself when things got tough. “You’re not my son.” was his parents’ favourite sentence. He was an only child and was treated as such, having to deal with his folks pushing him to study and to train until he nearly broke. He knows a great deal about the forest and what plants are good to eat because of that. He can set effective traps and hunt, as well as build a good fire and purify water.

Likes: His one passion in life, and the thing which has helped him through his parent’s verbal abuse, as well as the hard times in his life? Nailpolish. Because he was born and raised in District 1 he had access to a small bottle every now and then, and despite comments from literally everyone around him, he learned how to do his nails. He likes to give a black background and do a small blue design in the center. He also loves making jewelry. His parents were the best jewellers in the district and they taught him how to set stones and arrange them in beautiful designs when they were in a good mood.

Token: A small bag filled with multi coloured D&D dice. They are beautiful and surprisingly heavy, not worth much in monetary value. His first boyfriend gave them to him, with the words “For the next time you have trouble making a decision”.

Extra
: for anything else that needs to be known about your character.

He hated his birth name, Stephan Reynolds, and changed it frequently, but nothing he chose seemed to stick. When he’d turned 16, he’d settled for the name Marcus, feeling as if it fit him better than anything else he’d tried on.

Name: Emmer Felton
Gender: Female
Age: 17
District: 9
"District 9 is Panem's bread bowl, giving us the fertile harvest we need to keep rising as a nation."

Description: She has curly, dark brown hair, usually tied back quite severely to keep all strands of it out of her face. She's not a great beauty, but her dark features are striking against her olive skin, coupled with a usually intense expression: she's usually frowning slightly, as though trying to remember something. But her face is saved from looking too harsh by an explosion of freckles across her cheeks, which only gets worse during the harvest season when she spends the days out in the fields.
Emmer is a little short for her age, which at a glance might make her seem younger than she is, and although she has the build of someone who's used to manual labour, she's not as strong as most.

Personality: So not strong, but Emmer is fast: physically but also mentally. She may not have book smarts (she only attended school until her early teens), but she is able to make quick decisions and act on them fast, preferring to worry about them later (if at all). There's the potential there for recklessness, but for the most part she won't act just for the sake of it: only if something needs to be done. She cares too much about her family and friends—her little comfortable, reliable slice of the world—to risk hurting them.
She won't be the one to throw the first punch... but she won't think before returning one, and once that line is crossed there's little to hold her back. It might just turn out that there's quite a lot of pent-up fury inside her, and once it finds an outlet it doesn't really matter who the target is before she calms down again. Emmer might be a troublesome enemy, but she could just as easily be an unstable ally.

Background: Like most others in her district, Emmer has been working for as long as she can remember. Running errands, crawling into jammed machinery to remove fallen wheat, then as she got too big for that, sifting and threshing. During the harvests she would be out in the fields with the other children and teenagers, even when she attended school, working in places the rusting combine harvesters couldn't reach, but otherwise she was allocated to spending time in the factories, cleaning and rolling wheat and sifting the flour. Repetitive work, but like all others in such districts, it gave her a comfortable level of physical fitness and a high tolerance for tedium.
The people of 9 and other districts were sent raw grain. The flour that Emmer spent her life making went to the bakeries of the Capitol and the richest districts. When she was younger, she liked to imagine what each sack of flour would be used for, but soon enough her restricted imagination turned to resentment. She would never have done anything about it and see her family punished, so she just allowed herself to grow bitter, well aware that the peacekeepers didn't care how angry she was about her work so long as she did it.
Her mother works in the mill, as does one of her brothers (she's the youngest of four), but her father's arm was crushed when she was young, leaving him unable to earn money for the family and wrecked with guilt. When her brothers were young enough to be potential tributes, they took tesserae. None of them were chosen, which means that Emmer is expected safely do the same. She has only two years left, so she takes tesserae while she can... after all, everyone else she knows does the same, so what are the chances that she'd actually be picked?

A mentor CS...

Name: Filigree Sythe
Age: 30
Gender: Female
District: 1
Game Won: 51st
Appearance:
f-Sessilee Lopez by Thein La.jpg
(source)

Personality: As a mentor, Filigree is no-nonsense and has little patience for those who don't take her advice or thank her for her help. She's rather full of herself and loves attention: any popularity that her mentored tribute receives, she's happy to share in it, at least in her own mind. She'll dress up and rub shoulders with those in the Capitol every Games that she attends, and is likely to overstep her boundaries and argue with the escort over her duties, wanting even more control than she has. She will also get defensive over her tribute and any perceived slights towards them.
Proud, overbearing, ambitious and with little tolerance for failure... but good at what she does.

Background: Filigree volunteered as tribute at the age of just fourteen, inspired by watching the Quarter Quell the year before and with many of those around her also devoting themselves to entering the games. She had not discussed this with anyone, and her volunteering and managing to get the role over other potential tributes was not taken well. The girl who had been assured entry into the games that year tried to fight for her place, but Filigree was whisked away before either of them could draw blood over it. She did not even say goodbye to her family, aware that they would have been blamed for her attempt to steal the spotlight.
Although like most of her peers she had been trained to fight, it had not been as intense as for the girl whose place she stole, nor for the male tribute for her district (who openly disliked her for it). But she didn't care, and her feisty, no-nonsense attitude as well as her good looks gained her plenty of attention. To top it all off, the story of just how eager she was to take part in the Games made her a firm favourite, and she was able to have her pick of sponsors.
Once in the arena, she proved that their hopes for her had not been misplaced: she was not only physically ruthless, but able to escape death twice by crying in the face of her assailants. By playing the part of a terrified little girl who had made a mistake in wanting to be here, they instinctively hesitated, and she was able to kill them in the seconds before they came to their senses. The rest of her victory came from sneaking after and hunting her victims with a knife gifted by a sponsor, which she carries with her to this day. It was not the way that career tributes usually fought, but perhaps that helped her to win. She didn't care anyway, and when she was announced the victor she loved the attention and the thrill of winning.
She gained back some reputation in her home district, although it was tempered slightly by her being the one to kill the male tribute, albeit in self-defence. Opinion towards her was split, making her not quite the darling that previous and later victors had been. But a few games later she was allowed to mentor to one of the tributes, and showed how efficient she could be with her training, advice and management of sponsorship. In a way, she uses her mentoring as a way to live vicariously, enjoying the thrill of the Games all over again... not to mention the attention she gets while still being so young and successful.

Name: Dekota Ryn
Age: Were 18 when they won. They are now 25
Gender: Nonbinary
Sexuality: No one knows, and they won't tell.
District: 6 - principal industry is transportation. It is hinted that morphling addiction may be an issue in the district
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Game Won: 60th
Looks:

How they won(optional): Early on, Dekota allied themselves with a pack of Careers. After everyone else was dead, the Careers agreed to part ways. By then Dekota had learned their habits and a bit of who they were as people, so they were able to sneak up on them and slip a knife in their back, or get them to kill each other. Please keep in mind that before the games, Dekota had sworn they were a pacifist, ate as little meat as their already poor lifestyle permitted, and made a show of crying when animals were slaughtered before them. Even during the games, they survived on berries and plants. The only reason the Careers took them in was their ability to set traps. No one wandered why the wispy vegetarian who hated the sight of blood knew how to set traps and exactly where to press on the back of someone's neck to knock them out, or why they had volunteered to be a tribute in the first place. The others bought Dekota's half-assed excuse that they had watched a lot of games and wanted to be a part them.

Once there was only one career left, Dekota stalked them for a long time, seemingly enjoying themselves. It was a mind game they were playing, driving Avery, the unfortunate District 1 tribute, crazy with fear before the game was over. In the end, all Dekota needed to do was walk in and push a knife in Avery's gut. The poor boy didn't even put up a fight.

Personality: Once they won, they dropped the whole shy act and instead put on a mask of happiness. “Dekota is an incredibly upbeat person who basically acts like a teenager.” That is what every reporter ever wrote about them. Anyone who gets in a conversation with them leaves with a smile. They get excited over literally anything, and act like a kicked puppy if someone does as much as look at them darkly. Their main strategy is to look as harmless as possible, hugging people as a way of saying hello and going in a whole fit of happiness over the smallest things, like getting to pet someone’s dog, or seeing a particularly interesting shade of nail polish. First thing they do when they meet someone is start complimenting them. A person could look like they crawled out of a dumpster, and Dekota could still find something nice to say. They have a habit of laughing at things which would seem awful to other people.

Background: They grew up in district 6, and after they won the game, their family never looked at them the same. They had thought Dekota was the nicest person they knew, and then had watched them drive someone insane, stab and poison people, all while enjoying themselves. As a result, Dekota was forbidden to return home and everyone who knew them cut off all ties. All that didn’t seem to bother them. Instead of paying any attention to it, they threw themselves into the capitol and started hanging out with the other District 6 victors, as well as victors from other districts. The other victors have developed a hate/love relationship with them, mostly because they are aware of what a terrible person Dekota was, but it was also impossible not to like having them around.

Extra(optional): Dekota’s token was a small musical box which played the first few notes of a song nobody had heard before. When asked about it, Dekota made up a different story every single time. The only thing which stayed consistent throughout all the stories had been that they’d been the one to make the actual music box.
