Name: Quinn Blitz

Age: 1055 | 36

Gender: Female

Status: Regular | High-Ranker # 57 | Crimson Devil

Species: Human

Personality: Quinn is a fierce and proud warrior of the Blitz family. Loyalty, Strength, and Courage are the pillars on which her character is built, and her overwhelming lust for battle the foundation on which they are built. Quinn is a hard-worker but also sees the value of enjoying the indulgences of life. She actively surrounds herself with strong-willed, fiercely loyal regulars who possess a great measure of strength and can consistently produce results. Her Corps, the 7th Corps, reflects these values and is run like a meritocracy.

When not on the battlefield or carrying out the commands of Zahard however Quinn is a massively dysfunctional person. Like the other members of her family, she is prone to losing her grip on reality when her emotions spike. Her tongue can be just as quick as her blade and twice as sharp, and she lacks respect for high ranking bureaucrats who lack the strength to back up their position. The Corps Commander has come close to being discharged due to her personality however the results she produces always seem to grant her grace from Zahard’s wrath.

Quinn is most loyal to her family. She sees familial bonds as ironclad and actively extends aid to her relatives. Likewise, she condemns anyone who turns their back on family. Her grand goal is to raise the power and status of the Blitz family by whatever means necessary. She actively trains young Blitz regulars who have the potential to attract the attention of Zahard.

Position: Fisherman, Hwayeomsa, (if necessary can fill: spear bearer, scout, and wave controller positions)

Affiliation: Blitz Family, Zahard Army (7th Corps Commander)

Physical Attributes

Incredible Mobility - Even without the use of Shinsoo, Quinn has always been incredibly quick on her feet. Her movements are chaotic and can often be hard to follow. With the use of Shinsoo Quinn can double down on this natural ability and uses it to close distances, disorient her opponents, and dodge critical attacks.

Average Strength - For a ranker, Quinn’s physical prowess is average at best. She often has to use her Shinsoo prowess combined with her dexterity to make up for her lacking physique.

Mental Attributes

Highly Temperamental - During the heat of battle, Quinn is liable to be goaded by obvious taunts from her opponents. Her pride as a warrior often exceeds her intellect, however, when she fights while enraged her already chaotic fighting style becomes even more unpredictable and she becomes incapable of holding back.

Highly Driven - Almost impossible to put down if she is not dead or unconscious. Quinn will pursue her opponent with an intense ferocity no matter the state of her body. This can often be intimidating, though it is detrimental to her health.

Master Tactician - While planning is not her forte, she can execute a well-crafted plan with exceedingly high efficiency. Quinn’s battle sense is a powerful tool that allows her to evaluate potential dangers in the middle of combat and deal with them accordingly.

Combat Skills

Master Swordsman - Quinn possesses sword skills of the highest tier barring the Arie Family members. Her slashes are exceedingly swift and incredibly powerful, even for the standards of a High Ranker.

Monstrous Flame Control - As a Hwayeomsa, Quinn has been compared to the likes of Evankhell and Yeon Hana in their youth. She resents the Yeon family because they often overshadow her own family when it comes to producing powerful Hwayeomsa. Much of Quinn’s pride is tied up with her mastery over the flame and it is by far her deadliest tool.

Tension Adept - Quinn’s current focus for improvement is mastering the art of Tension. She has heard that the technique was one of Zahard’s main focuses while climbing the tower and she seeks such power for herself. She currently has an advanced level of understanding of Tension and uses it in conjunction with her flames to devastating results.

Techniques

Quinn-Style: Infernal Technique - The technique which serves as the basis for Quinn’s entire fighting style. Many Blitz Family Members have adopted this technique as their own, but only a few can handle the strain it puts on one’s body. The Infernal Technique is a Shinsoo control skill that allows one to internalize their flames. The internalized flames are compressed and contained in and around the user’s body and can be unleashed throughout the body for a variety of effects. Quinn found that her flames were best used in short controlled explosions rather than just throwing them out in great swathes. She found that she could use a burst of flame to maneuver quicker than ever before and that even her physical attacks could be enhanced with the use of this technique.

While Quinn has far past mastered this technique and can use it at her discretion, weaker individuals who are just learning the technique must beware of the dangers it possesses to their body. Firstly, without proper Shinsoo control, one’s flame burns through their Shinsoo far too quickly to be sustainable in a fight. Secondly, compressing vast amounts of Shinsoo within your body puts an incredible amount of strain on bones, muscles, and ligaments. Injury is likely if personal limits are exceeded. Lastly, for novice users, the technique leaves a person burnt out and lacking stamina once they return to normal.

To activate the technique the user must first generate a large amount of fire by whatever means they choose, and then in an instant absorb all of the flames within themselves. For the unpracticed the process is painful, but once the internal flames are being fed by one’s own Shinsoo the process is complete.

This technique is the basis of Quinn’s combat style.

Quinn-Style Shinsoo Control: Searing Strike - Quinn’s go-to technique when feeling out an opponent. With flames internalized she extends her palm outward and releases a short but intense explosion of flame from her palm. The resulting wall of heat travels forward like a shockwave burning and pushing objects and creatures in its path.

Quinn-Style Sword Skill: Evil Edge - Quinn extends her internal flames onto a sword. Using tension she compresses the fire along the edge of the blade. When the sword is used to slash an advisory the flames in the blade’s edge are released all at once and an ordinary slash becomes a devastating one.

Quinn-Style: Lethal Move, Devil’s Wretched Breath - Within her throat, Quinn gathers a baang of fire Shinsoo. She uses tension to compress a mass amount of flames within the baang and then the fireball is launched at high velocity at a target. The baang explodes upon impact dealing massive damage to creatures and structures caught up in the blast radius. Several (7) of these fireballs can be fired in quick succession before Quinn’s throat is ran rugged.

Quinn-Style Sword Skill: Transcendental Skill, Annihilation Wave - The last resort for Corps Commander Quinn. Her sword is sheathed and she must take several seconds to reinforce her body with enough Shinsoo to endure the recoil of the attack. Once Quinn has taken the proper measures to ensure her safety she ignites her sword, Rhittamonji, and performs a quickdraw slash. In an instant, all of the heat energy stored within her sheathe is released all at once and a gargantuan swathe of flames is projected forward. Everything in the path of the flames aside from exceptionally powerful high rankers is reduced to ashes.

This technique can only be performed with Rhittamonji and is most effective when its sheath is completely filled. Once the technique is performed the sheath is completely depleted and must be refilled before the skill can be used effectively once more.

Shinsoo resistance: Outstanding

Weapons:

Rhittamonji (Grade A >>> S)
A katana and sheath ignition weapon of extraordinarily high quality. This weapon was crafted by The Workshop at the request of Corps Commander Quinn. The spirit within the sword appears to her as a prideful woman with eyes and hair that shone like gold.

Rhittamonji is both the sheath and the sword. The sheath absorbs and contains all of the excess heat and flames produced by Quinn. The katana itself is simply a well-crafted blade made of a material that conducts heat but never melts. The flames contained with the sheath heat the blade to impossibility high heats while the blade is sheathed. With the katana constantly being superheated, Quinn’s cutting power is increased drastically.

This weapon can only ever be ignited while the katana is sheathed. Upon ignition, all the heat energy store in the sheath are unleashed all at once when the blade is drawn. After the single devastating slash is dealt, Rhittamonji will be emptied and begin to siphon off Quinn’s heat once more. It takes approximately 100 years before the sheath of Rhittamonji is charged to full capacity given that Quinn has consistently been in combat during that time.

As an additional bonus, Quinn no longer accidentally burns her subordinates during fits of rage, so long as Rhittamonji is by her side.

History: Born direct descendant to the head of the Blitz family, Quinn was expected to be an exceptional candidate to climb the tower and gain political power for her family. It was no disappointment when the heiress displayed the latent talent that far surpassed her peers. From a young age, Quinn developed a powerful unconditional love for her family that went beyond reason and logic, perhaps a manifestation of the manic tendencies of the Blitz family members. She would enter fits of rage and violence towards those who slandered her family or members of it, and she idealized her bloodline above all else. Even when offered the honor of becoming one of Zahard’s Princesses she vehemently turned down the offer as she believed that the King’s blood would muddle her own.

The day she received an invitation from the caretaker she began her climb. Quinn saw it as her duty to conquer the tower quickly so that she could become a ranker who could gather power for her family and raise their social standing. It took the Blitz family heiress a little over three centuries to reach the top of the tower, become a ranker, and join Zahard’s Army. She knew that allying with the king would be the quickest way to raise her standing in the tower’s political game. Centuries of service to the Empire past and Quinn had secured herself as a Corps Commander in Zahard’s Army, her accompaniment myriad. She now spends her attending to her duties to her king as well as her family.

Name: Quetzal Blitz

Age: 756 | 28

Gender: Male

Status: Regular | High Ranker # 304 | Gallant Spearfish

Species: Human

Personality: Quetzal Blitz is typically a calm, cool, and collected individual, usual for the members of the Blitz family. The man tends to talk with smooth jazzy undertones and often wears suits that reflect this nature. Though his mask of coolness often cracks when in the presence of beautiful women, in which case he can become overly passionate to a comedic degree. Quetzal is perceptive, optimistic, idealistic, and loves to dance. He also has a love for teaching the tower’s newcomers and is sentimental about his former students.

Position: Spear Bearer, Fisherman

Affiliation: Blitz Family

Physical Attributes

High Strength -
Quetzal has built up his physique to an incredible degree even for a high ranker to make up for his lack of Hwayeomsa talent.

High Durability - Quetzal is physically durable enough to be considered for the defender's position. This is due to surviving the myriad of tantrums inflicted upon him by the manic members of his family and students.

Mental Attributes

Incredibly Foresight -
This is the skill that Quetzal attributes to his incredible accuracy as a spear bearer. He has the talent for predicting the actions of other regulars as long as he is watching them closely. This talent also makes Quetzal incredibly hard to hit during combat. During a battle, he imagines everyone as dancers on a stage, all with their own distinct rhythm and style that he can complement or disrupt.

Manic Obsession - Quetzal possesses an almost manic level of obsession with women, especially beautiful women. During combat, he often gives them the benefit of the doubt and acts in an incredibly flirtatious manner much to his detriment.

Combat Skills

Spear Mastery -
Quetzal is a highly skilled spear bearer and prides himself most on his finesse with the weapon. He prefers delicate precise attacks over heavy-handed blunt attacks.

Flame Immunity - While most members of the Blitz family are born with varying degrees of fire resistance depending on their level as a Hwayeomsa, Quetzal has honed his body to completely fire immune with an exception only to the highest level of Hwayeomsa such as Yeon Hana. As an instructor, Quetzal developed this immunity to force his students to find other sources of power besides just their flame abilities.

Techniques

Shinsoo Control Skill: Soul Furnace -
Quetzal destructs the process the Hwayeomsa use in order to create fire from Shinsoo and reverses it. Using Soul Furnace the user may take in flames and convert them back into Shinsoo. While this is a niche skill it allows Quetzal to neutralize the majority fire-based attacks and convert those attacks into Shinsoo for his own personal use. He is the average Hwayeomsa worst nightmare.

Quetzal-Style Spear Skill: Battle Dance - Quetzal performs a sequence of spear attacks and flourishes at extreme speeds that provide both a pressing offense and tight defense. This sequence is modular and changes in accordance with the movements of his adversaries. It is Quetzal's amazing foresight that makes this ability so effective for him.

Shinsoo Resistance: Above Average

Weapons: Blue Note (Grade B) This dark blue spear was crafted to be especially light almost floating between the hands of a skilled spearman, but also complemented by extraordinary hardness and durability. Additionally, some say that Blue Note whistles melodies on the wind when swung with passion.

History: Quetzal grew up during his cousin Quinn’s ascension to ranker status and beyond. He found himself completely enamored by her strength and attitude because despite being a Blitz himself he was untalented as a Hwayeomsa. His gift instead came as a keen ear for rhythm and the natural inclination to dance, which wasn’t the most useful skill for climbing the brutal tower. Despite his deficiencies, he was inspired to climb the tower regardless and was determined to find a way to be of use to the young heiress, Quinn.

Quetzal has spent most of his life climbing the status of high ranker and when he finally got the opportunity to meet his idol, he asked her to take him into her Corps. After hearing the story of his climb, Quinn promptly rejected Quetzal, instead of encouraging him to return to the main residence of the Blitz family and become a source of inspiration and direction for the youth of the family. Quetzal took this call to action and strides and has become the main combat instructor for the Blitz family. His greatest accomplishment is his star student, Haewon Zahard, who went on to become a Princess.

View attachment 765654Name: Soon-Bok Park

Age: 231, 18

Gender: Female

Regular or Irregular: Regular

Species: Jorōgumo

Appearance: Bearing a figure that might be called imposing or striking if not for her meek mannerisms, Soon-Bok strikes a visage of paradox. Her body is covered by a mixture of caramel-brown skin and lustrous black chitin. Her arms, totaling double the standard, each end in four nimble fingertips, the whole length of the appendages wrapped in sturdy exoskeleton. Her mouth is lined with a forest of fangs rather than teeth, each one a glossy black, able to pierce both skin and bone. Framing her features, a forest of rough chitin creeps up from her shoulders and over her cheeks, a vestige of a time when her kind were armored entirely.

A modest young woman, Soon-Bok prefers to dress conservatively, most often electing to cover up as much of her human skin as society would deem appropriate and wearing either long dresses or heavy coats. This works out to her advantage, providing an extra level of insulation to warm her cold-blooded body.

Personality: Not a person of great intrigue or charisma, Soon-Bok mostly keeps to herself. She was raised by a small, and very tight-knit community, and as such as very little experience in dealing with strangers. While she has spent time within a handful of teams during her climb, none of them have ever stuck, usually she or they finding themselves seeking better company and separating on distant terms. That is not to say that she is incapable of communication, or crushingly shy, but Soon-Bok is a doubtlessly withdrawn individual, more comfortable keeping her thoughts to herself for fear of unforseen consequence.

Beneath her meek exterior, though, is a hard working young woman. With few hobbies and fewer friends, work is one of the few things she has to do with her time, after all. She spends most of her free time either training her skills as a Wave Controller, or listlessly dabbling towards her failed ambition to become a Disiciple. In regards to both, she keeps an absurd collection of data, noting down all of her bouts of progression or lack thereof for future reference. Indeed, it can be said that both Soon-Bok's greatest strength and weakness is her ability to fixate herself on a set of goals, blindly working towards them with a fervor ignorant of the trials and tribulations of Tower climbing.

Position: Wave Controller

Affiliation: Neutral

Abilities and Skills:
Jorōgumo Physiology - Soon-Bok's heritage brings with it a few traits of varying utility. First, her is able to produce a lightly paralytic and digestive venom from her enlarged canines. It is ineffective for its traditional purpose on most Regulars, but can be used as a sedative if ingested. She is also able to eject webbing from each of her sixteen fingertips; this is likely not of much use against Regulars normally, but Soon-Bok has engineered a manner or two in which it can be used to augment her Baangs.

Minimum Style Shinsoo Control - As a Wave Controller Soon-Bok has made a pointed decision to focus on quality over quantity. She can currently control only two Baangs, but is able to manipulate them with a greater Myun, Soo and precision than most of her peers. She's able to quickly manipulate the size and density of her Baangs, shifting them in and out of defensive and offensive forms in reaction to the state of the battlefield.

Nest Baang - Soon-Bok is able to inject a large spool of her webbing into her Baangs, and then reinforce it with the Shinsoo within. This converts it into what she calls a "Nest Bang", which she can envelop enemies within. She will typically increase the density and therefore pressure of her Nest Baangs, slowing the victim's movements which are then further restricted by the web within. As they are within one of Soon-Bok's Baangs, this also inhibits their ability to manipulate Shinsoo, either having to overpower her manipulation or draw external Shinsoo in for their use.

Craftswoman - To cull any misunderstanding, Soon-Bok often makes it clear that she is not a weaponsmith nor and inventor. Her ability to create is solely limited to her experiences, and her experiences are quite mundane. She's likely able to be able to figure out how to fix most of the common devices within the Tower, as well as assemble a few household items from scratch if given the proper materials, but couldn't forge a Needle nor invent a robot to save her life. Never the less, she endevors to hone her craft, for no sake other than her own.

Shinsoo Resistance: Average

Weapons:
Modified Reel (F-Rank) - A basic reel. Soon-Bok uses this less as a weapon, and more as a tool to manipulate the position of herself and the enemy. Soon-Bok's reel is outfitted with a motor powerful enough to haul her own body weight, allowing her to use it to sling herself up and around the battlefield, or to pull enemies towards herself with great efficacy.

History:
Soon-Bok never actually wanted to become a Regular. Her home, a minor Jorōgumo Nest-Hub, was nestled quietly within a city not of their native lands. Her family were what was known by their greater species as 'House Spiders', members of the Jorōgumo who elected to integrate into greater society, rather than within their traditional tribal sects.

Her Nest-Hub was host to a few other like-minded members of her kind, coalescing into a micro-tribe that supported one another. She and a handful of other children were all raised as part of one collective brood, educated and cared for by whichever of the adults happened to be the most free that day. 'Mothers' and 'Fathers', henceforth became a muddied concept, and instead the adults became of collective of Uncles and Aunts.

Regardless slowly but surely, some of the children would be taken under specific wings, mentored more closely by those of professions that they admired. For Soon-Bok, that was Ho-Jee, a craftswoman by trade that she one day hoped to work alongside. For a steady few years she worked closely under the woman's tutelage, but barely learned how to craft anything beyond knick-knacks and common household items.

Eventually, her frustrations begun to mount, but before she had a chance to voice them, Soon-Book stole away into the night and never returned. The only sign she left for both her student, and the Nest-Hub at large was a note; detailed upon was a message, curt and courteous, informing them that they'd been taken in as a Workshop Disciple, and would one day return with great bounties in tow.

Naturally dismayed by the news, Soon-Bok briefly considered giving up on her passions, abandoned by her teacher as she was. But Ho-Jee was hardly the only person she was close to, and with the encouragement of her Nest Siblings, elected to push forward on her own.

For the following years she took up Ho-Jee's role within the group, playing craftsman and handyman around the nests and eventually assisting in the rearing of the brood following her own, but she never found herself fulfilled. It wasn't until she caught wind of an advertisement that presented a rare chance, one to compete for the position of Disciple under a successful Teacher. Her spirit spurned on by the thought of once again being able to meet with her own teacher, she set about practicing for months.

And then when the day of the contest came, she failed within the first round.

Her handicrafts, while lovely in their own right, weren't even in the same universe as the tools of violence and science that the other examinees produced, and it was clear that her failure wasn't just a lack of skill, but a lack of compatibility too.

Soon-Bok spent the next few weeks lamenting her ambitions, and wondering what exactly it was that had allowed her senior passage into the Workshop's numbers; excusing herself from the nest-duties that she would normally so dutifully uphold, Soon-Bok was left with a feast of time upon which to ruminate. She isolated herself, now lost for purpose, something that had come so easily to her before. It was much to her surprise when, unbidden by herself, purpose came looking for her.

In the deepest depths of her philosophizing, Headon appeared before her, offering her passage into the Tower and a new reason to apply her ambition. At first, she hesitated, sending the rabbit-man off on impulse, but when her Nest-Siblings learned of her actions they were incredulous. They harped in her ears for weeks on end about how much of an opportunity she'd blown, and what they would have done in her situation. Weeks then turned to months, and months into an either year, along the length of which relent rarely came. So, as she ever did, Soon-Bok was eventually the one to relent herself.

In the dead of night, she called out Hedeon's name again, and then again, again, again, and again until her throat was hoarse, and the sly creature appeared before her. She entered the Tower, leaving only a note, curt and courteous, informing her siblings she'd taken up a place as a Regular, and would one day return with great bounties in tow.
Accepted.

History: The Sul family have served the Lo Pia Bo family's feline branch for generations and Goyangi is no different. More specifically, she serves her half-brother who is a Lo Po Bia and a talented Anima. Growing up, Goyangi was often bullied by her brother who not only had a higher status than her, but could also control her very actions. The only times, she was able to break out of his mental control was, if only so briefly, was when she achieved full WereCat transformation, but her parents would often chide her for acting against her brother so she didn't do it often. She was told to always stand by his side. Always protect him. Despite the unfairness of the situation she finds herself in, Goyangi actually loves her brother. For all the spoiled, narcissistic, brat that he may be, the two half siblings did grow up together and play together as children. Holang had been much nicer as a kid. However, growing in an environment where he was spoiled by his parents and made to believe he was better than others had changed him into a little monster...figuratively speaking. He isn't so bad once you get pass his arrogance/haughty demeanor and does show some care to the sibling he treats like a servant. On some days, Goyangi could even see sparks of the Holang that played with her as a child.

Both half siblings had been selected to enter the tower at the same time and had been climbing together, fighting together, up until the Workshop battle when Holang insisted he prove himself in the champions matches. With nothing else to do, Goyangi finds herself temporarily recruited into team HellCats by a mysterious message sent to her pocket.

Name: Bourbon

Age: 210 | 22

Gender: Male

Status: Regular

Species: Human

Personality: Bourbon is an easy-going drunkard. He is generally amiable, good-natured, and has a great sense of humor. Bourbon is fairly proud of his skills but doesn't like to appear smug. He does, however, have a single glaring flaw in his personality and it is his insatiable lust to end the lives of strong individuals. While he sees the value of life, Bourbon can’t help but give in to his murderous urges during combat. He never lets a fallen opponent get away with their lives and likewise would wish a victorious opponent to strike him down. It is for these reasons that he doesn’t spar with allies. He is always respectful towards the memories of those who he slays.

Skills

Incredible Physique -
Bourbon trains his body religiously and treats it like a temple (aside from the vast quantities of alcohol he consumes daily). He can perform superhuman feats of speed, strength, and agility that surpasses the average regular at his rank.

Skilled Swordsman - Bourbon has trained for several decades in the art of the sword, and his blades have taken myriad lives. He would consider himself in the upper echelon of swordsmen that exist among his peers. Bourbon trains in no particular style of combat instead of only aiming for the sole purpose of taking his opponent's life before they take his.

Abilities

Shinsoo Flow Control -
While Bourbon can’t form a single baang, he still knows about how Shinsoo works in the tower and utilizes the Flow Control Technique to strengthen his blades during combat.

Techniques

Shinsoo Control Sword Skill, Crescent Moon -
Bourbon engages with a direct Shinsoo enhanced slash with one of his swords. The path of the slash is crescent in shape.

Shinsoo Control Lethal Skill, Harvest Moon - The finishing attack in Bourbon’s arsenal is a powerful Shinsoo infused cleaving slash performed with both blades parallel to one another. The attack is often direct at one’s neck and is intended to decapitate his opponent. Bourbon reserves this attack for strong opponents.

Shinsoo resistance: Above Average

Weapons

Maize (C-rank) -
The katana that Bourbon has carried with him since he entered the tower. It has a dangerously sharp blade and carries with it a deep bloodlust.

Raiu (E-rank) - One of the many katana Bourbon has picked up since he entered the tower. He has been known the break swords often and this is just one of many. Its edge is chipped and its blade holds many scars. This sword was picked up by Bourbon after he slew its owner.

History: Bourbon was fated to be a murderous criminal from the moment he was born. He was orphaned as a child and grew up impoverished in the streets of his home city. The young child with no name was forced to feign for himself. He stole food from merchants, ran away from the town guard, and fought off other vagrants who sought to harm him.

One day he would meet a man who went by the name, Whiskey. Their first interaction was of course when the nameless child tried to steal the man water jug. While initially successful he was surprised when he discovered that the jug was not filled with water but with a liquid that burned his throat and removed his inhibitions. It was Bourbon Whiskey in the jug and when the man found the orphan boy drunkenly stumbling through the streets he apprehended the child and took him in as his own. When Whiskey discovered the boy had no name he decided to name him Bourbon due to their prior interaction. Bourbon accepted the name happily and in the year to follow would start to see Whiskey as a father figure.

Whiskey, who was a swordsman, taught Bourbon in the way of the sword as well. The young Bourbon proved to be a quick learner with a ruthless temperament in combat, but Whiskey thought nothing of it. Eventually, Whiskey would even introduce the young Bourbon to his five closes friends, all of them dangerous criminals who had made a name for themselves in the city. It was that day that Whiskey planned to induct Bourbon into the group by having a duel with the boy he had come to see as his son. Bourbon accepted the duel and the battle commenced. The two fought equally for a while, but slowly Bourbon’s strength and ferocity with the blade would prove too difficult for Whiskey to handle. With a smile, Whiskey dropped his guard and conceded the match to Bourbon, but he didn’t realize the boy had become consumed with battle lust throughout the match. Blood pooled on the ground between Whiskey and Bourbon as the boy cut down his closest friend in blind ecstasy. Whiskey died that day with a smile on his face. The final words on his bloodied lips were for his five compatriots to accept Bourbon as one of their own.

The five criminals who all bore names of liquors took the words of their fallen comrade to heart. Some resented Bourbon, others understood the mistake he made, but none the less they all accepted him as a brother. In the years to follow, the group of infamous murders and thieves would come to be named as the Six Spirits by the city folk.

Gender: Female
Regular or Irregular?: Regular
Species: Human
Position: Scout, Wave Controller, Fisherman
Affiliation: Neutral

Personality:
A bleeding heart with a strong personality and a caring soul, Elora fits into the caretaker role almost perfectly. She's assertive yet makes sure to hear everyones thoughts before making a decision, confident yet humble and knows her limits, and is always looking out for the betterment of her companions over her own growth. Being an affable and chill woman to talk to, it's not hard to see why many may look up to her. However, her greatest strength and weakness stems from her overbearingly sympathetic outlook on life. Through her life she's seen many sides of conflicts and seen the struggles and challenges both faced, so she can understand why someone may commit horrible deeds and not hold it against them. Jumping to the conclusion that someone is straight evil isn't something she often does and would rather have faith that they'll be able to turn their life around. Of course, the longer someone has been around the less faith she'll have and if repeated offenses are committed she'll put her foot down, but at that point it could very well be too late.

Being the kind of person who'll feel sadness when seeing someone down on their luck, she'll often try her best to assist others when given the chance. In fact, due to how much she dislikes causing others misfortune, she'll often hold back when in a fight to avoid unnecessary death or injury. It may be a part of tower life, but Elora wants to minimize her own personal kill count as much as possible. Also, she's quite perceptive when it comes to reading people, so if she senses something is amiss she'll gently try to approach the subject and let them know she's all ears. Elora is more than happy to give up hours of her time just listening to someone ramble, and though she'll at first pretend everything is fine if asked herself, she's willing to be an open book as well. She promotes an honest and direct way of approaching issues.

As a mother, though, Elora can be a bit indecisive. She doesn't want to push her son down a certain path and prefers to let him go about things his own way and learn. This can be difficult for her when she sees hi going down a path she sees dangerous, though she'll still support him, gently trying to guide him down the right path all the while. She feels she could've done better as a parent , and while she still doesn't want to mess with her kids life she sometimes wishes she could have a second chance.

Abilities and skills:

Shinsoo Manipulation: Having climbed part of the tower before and having years of training and experience behind her, as well as having an innate affinity to it since birth, Elora is extremely talented when it comes to using Shinsoo. Possessing both strength and finesse, she can control 4 bangs and use them expertly in the heat of battle.

Shinsoo Quality - Wind: Elora has trained to be able to manifest her Shinsoo's hidden quality, allowing her to integrate wind based attacks into her arsenal such as wind cannons, rapid fire blades, and even use it to give her a significant boost of speed.

Skills:

  • Body Reinforcement: Outer Layer - Instead of using Shinsoo to enhance her body, Elora has opted to create an invisible layer of wind around her body to soak up damage and strengthen her attacks. While the boost granted by this isn't as great as the alternative, She feels it allows her much more flexibility in combat. For example, by expelling the barrier Elora can create a massive shock wave, knocking anyone close enough off their feet and creating an opening. Most notably, though, is her ability to curve incoming attacks around herself, albeit to a minor degree.
  • Levitation - As the name implies, Elora can lift herself off the ground and effectively fly around the battlefield, providing both effective support and dangerous offense from above.
  • Storm Strikes - One of the most common uses of her wind quality is enhancing both the strength and range of her melee attacks to frightening levels, each strike being as if she was throwing out small tornadoes. Elora can either pack each strike with a condensed pocket of wind that explodes outward on impact or launch a devastating blast, both with devastating results.
  • Eye of the Storm - A powerful, centralized cyclone about 5 meters in diameter, what may be Elora's trump card creates a powerful force of wind that sucks up anything even remotely in the area. Setting up this maneuver takes some time depending on the desired strength of it and the chosen area of affect is quite visible during the preparations, but when it is effectively pulled off it is extremely dangerous. While she and her teammates if close enough can resist it by manipulating the wind currents around her, it would require an extreme amount of strength to avoid being pulled under its control. This includes any long range attacks that her opponent may try to throw her way, making this effective both offensively and defensively. At any point during ts deployment Elora can opt to detonate or implode the cyclone. If she chooses detonation, a massively powerful explosion of wind and shinsoo is expelled from the point of origin, and if she chooses implosion anything in the cyclone itself is crushed under immense pressure.

Shinsoo resistance: Average

Weapons: Elora's only weapon is a small metal club strapped to her waist, though she rarely if ever uses it.

History:
Nobody knows for sure who Elora's real parents were. The owners of the orphanage she was raised in would tell you she was simply found at their doorstop one day as a baby, and their were no eyewitnesses around to see who left her. Many people have searched for these answers for one reason or another, but it was clear that whoever birthed her went through great lengths to keep that a mystery.

If you asked Elora herself, she'd tell you that the ones who took her in that day and cared for her were the only family that mattered.

The Bird of Paradise Orphanage, located in an impoverished and run down part of the floor, was maybe the one good thing about the area. People were constantly getting sick of severe diseases nobody had ever seen before and murdered in the streets for the smallest bit of coin, but the orphanage itself felt like a barrier from all the misery for the kids lucky enough to wind up being taken in. Food was scarce for the children and they'd often have to sustain themselves on just bread for a day, but the elderly couple that ran the place did their absolute best to provide them a good home. They spent as much time with them as possible, raised them on good morals and made sure everyone got along, and would even go out to scavenge for meals when times were especially rough. They were the sweetest caretakers a group of orphans could ask for, and even though some children would get adopted and leave it felt like they were already in one big family.

Eventually, as is the hope for all orphans, a nice and standard looking couple came along looking for a child to adopt. Of course almost all the children were vying for their attention, hoping to be picked, but young Elora simply stayed in the background and watched. She'd developed into a bit of a caretaker role herself, being mature for her age and keeping everyone out of trouble, so for her all she wanted was for who she considered her siblings to be happy.

However, out of all their choices, picked her. Whether they noticed her caring aura or something else they wanted Elora to be their adoptive child. At first she was vehemently against it, screaming and crying about how she didn't want to leave the orphanage behind, but she was quickly reassured by the rest of the children that they'd be okay and she should go to a better life. The old couple told her she could come by and visit anytime, so after an hour of wiping away her tears and processing the decision, Elora packed her things and was off with her new family.

Her new home wasn't anything fancy. It was still in the slums and not that large, but her new mother and father worked hard enough to be able to provide proper meals for the three of them and showed genuine love towards their new daughter. To Elora, this was a completely new world, and she immediately fell in love with it. She could bathe, go outside, and even spend time with other children on her block. All the while her new parents gave her hugs everyday and did their best to make her happy. They even began teaching her Shinsoo. Still, despite being swept up into this new world, she never forgot about The Bird of Paradise Orphanage. Every week she'd go down and spend the day with her old family, regaling them with stories and sharing the food she could bring. She had been able to quickly develop powerful Shinsoo capabilities as well, and loved showing them off for her friends. All in all, her life was good.

Then without warning, on a morning that should've been like any other morning, Elora's life had completely changed.

Cold brick, an old and lumpy bed, and the dankness of a dark basement: This is what Elora woke up to the day everything shifted. There, a serious looking woman awaited for her to awaken, and upon seeing the confused and terrified girl realizing things weren't normal, coldly began to explain the situation.

The Jeo family, who the mysterious woman was apart of, were a branch family living in the middle section of the tower. They were looking for young and talented children to be possible candidates for the Princess program, and had sent word to multiple floors in the outer area that they'd be willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money to adopt one. Elora's family heard of this deal and, desperate to escape the curse of poverty, recorded Elora's practice sessions and sent them in. Out of all the 'audition' videos they'd received Elora was the most impressive, so after having her family drug her one night she was shipped off.

As the woman left the room, Elora sobbing and begging to be returned home, the one solace she was given was that her family was also crying when they made the deal.

Elora doesn't know how long she was in that household, the years blending together as she was forced to focus solely on training or be met with severe punishment. At first she resisted, but eventually she was worn down and found it easier to just comply. Rarely did she see any of the other members of the household besides the mother, and even on the rare days she did she was forbidden from interacting with them. Lonely, isolated. Day after day of rigorous preparations, and the only thing the girl could think of the whole time was how much she missed the Orphanage.

Eventually, after what felt like decades of torment and misery, the day finally came for the next Zahard Princess to be selected. It was around that time that Elora realized she had a real shot of becoming a Princess. She had the potential, and if she tried hard enough it is believed she may have been selected. However, with everything that happened and what she went through to get to that point...she just couldn't do it. She couldn't put her heart into it, into giving this family what they wanted, and when the final choice was made Elora was sent back empty handed.

That night was especially rough on her. Screaming in her face, being chained to a wall, and being brutally beaten within an inch of her life; The Jeo family was hysteric with anger. However, beneath that anger seemed to be a strong aura of uncertainty and fear. The family was scrambling to collect their things, crying uncontrollably as some panicked and others tried to reassure everyone it'd all be okay. In the end, Elora was left chained up in the basement without food, the faint sound of the chaos above lulling her to sleep.

Elora awoke to the sound of more chaos, except this time it was much more visceral. Crashes, explosions, bloodcurdling screams all echoed down the basement stairs as she sat helplessly and listened. She doesn't know very much of what happened, except that in the midst of it all appeared a rabbit looking creature she now knows as Headon offering her a way out and a new life. The door to the basement busted open and fire spewed through, so without many options Elora accepted, being whisked away into the tower.

Inside of the tower, Elora was a force to be reckoned with. Her natural affinity and talent gave her a huge advantage over others and there were very few if any times she actually struggled during the challenges laid out for her. The only problems she ever faced was finding a proper team. Her less than ideal experiences with her families left her jaded and afraid, unwilling to put her trust in those who she believed would ditch her if the opportunity arose. So, she kept to herself, pushing away any attempts at getting closer to her as she mindlessly climbed.

Until one fateful team challenge, where she met him.

On the outside he was just like any normal boy just trying to make his way through life, but not to her. To Elora, he was everything she thought was a relic of her orphanage days. A foolish boy who made sure she was okay all the time even though he was significantly weaker and wasn't put off by her brooding exterior, Elora quickly fell head over heals for him. They climbed the tower together, Elora slowly opening up as they did so. Eventually they reached the twentieth floor and easily passed, but instead of moving on, the girl had different plans. She no longer cared about the uselessness of reaching the top of the tower, having to pass people by and watch dreams be crushed. She'd already found everything she could ever want. So, she proposed to the boy, and after he accepted the two left for the outer tower to live a simple and peaceful life.

Now, though, after many a year have passed, Elora finds herself in a very similar situation as to when she initially climbed the tower. Her husband, after a long and happy marriage, has passed away from illness, and with the son the two of them raised gone up into the tower long ago her heart and motivation to keep on living has cracked. Thus, she has turned back to the escape she once used to hide her sorrows, hoping in her heart of hearts that her some was somehow still alive.

Accepted.
