In the cities of the Scavenger Lands, organised crime is pretty much a certainty. Gangs of thugs, bands of assassins, they're all there. But one group, the "Family Without Family", is a little odd; half thieves' guild, half orphanage. All orphans themselves, these pirates of the land rescue parentless children and raise them as younger brothers and sisters of the streets. By the time they're adults, they are well-trained in the diverse talents of charletanry, and give their loyalty only to their adopted siblings. One girl, discovered on the streets of Nexus, showed talents that made her path clear.
Julia showed an uncanny proficiency for the arts of concealment and deception. Plain in appearance, with brown hair and only lightly tanned skin, and average in height, she was thin yet tough. She had an uncanny ability to remember everything she saw and heard, and could pitch her voice perfectly to match any kind of speech. As an elder sister of the Family, she could make herself look, sound and behave like almost anyone. She was a good thief... but a perfect spy.
And that's all before she Exalted.
A raid on one of the Family's bases resulted in her capture by another crime syndicate, led by the outcaste Dragon-Blooded, Latanach. Tortured for several days, Julia managed eventually to escape her dungeon, and fled naked and injured to hide in the complex warren of crumbling corridors beneath the Terrestrial's mansion. Incapable of escaping, recapture seemed inevitable... and yet, she succeeded in hiding within the wealthy outcaste's own home for two weeks. At last, fleeing from yet another search, Julia ducked into a dining room to search for a hiding spot... but there before her stood a beautiful woman, with pale skin and silver hair, and eyes as liminously white as the moon. The woman smiled, pressed a finger to her own lips for silence, and bent forward to kiss Julia on the forehead. Then she smiled, and suddenly she was gone. And Julia was Exalted.
The next morning Latanach was dead, found brutally murdered in his room. The ruthless tides of succession that engulfed his larcenous empire were such that not many noticed that his private menagerie of exotic animals had all been slaughtered.
The newly born Lunar rose quickly within the Family Without Family, who valued her as a sibling beyond any fear of Anathema, and kept her secret from all others. When the Wyld Hunt came, however, she deliberately revealed herself and fled into the wilderness to lead them away, fearing their wrath against those who harboured an Anathema. In an incredible twist of luck, she led the hunters right into the arms of the pack of Lunars that had come to find her.
It was several months later when the newly named Julia Endless Faces reutrned to her siblings out of the blue. She took leadership of the Family with ease, and now plots the downfall of the Scarlet Dynasty, traveling from city to city in an endless array of guises. Feeling that she has all she needs to complete her skills, she trains herself to be the ultimate shapeshifter. Though she pities the people she meets and never realise the truth of their encounters, desiring to spare them suffering if she can, her apparant naivete and lightheartedness conceals a deep dedication to the ultimate destruction of the Realm and the triumph of Luna's Chosen.

Tell: Having not yet learned to take Deadly Beastman form, Julia's Tell is subtle. Her skin and hair colour shifts almost imperceptibly to match her current mood. In addition, her green eyes have small spirals at the center, rather than normal pupils, though this doesn't impede her vision. When she spends essence, her skin and hair begin shifting more colourfully and inhumanly, forming faint stripes, spots or other patterns; at high levels, her colouration can become a dazzling kalaidoscope of flowing chromatic swirls and whorls.

Her position allows her access to almost everything she needs, though in keeping with the teachings of the Pact, she strives to earn her keep by protecting her siblings.

To balance the unfairness of this, I gave her half the shapes the rating would normally grant. The animal shapes she can take are: Chameleon, Panther, Kangaroo, Peacock(peahen?), Python, Polar Bear and Flying Squirrel.)

When a demigod becomes leader of the only family you've ever known, you tend to pay attention. Many members of the Family Without Family offer prayers to Julia as they go about their business across the Scavenger Lands and eastern Threshold.

Despite realising the necessity of combat, Julia Endless Faces always feels regret when she finds herself having to injure someone.

As befits the head of a criminal organisation, many authorities in the east would love to get their hands on Julia Endless Faces.

Despite the Family's efforts to keep her a figure of mystery, Julia's exploits can't help but arise as rumour and fireside tales; if the Wyld Hunt ever got around to sending another party after her, they'd soon catch on that there's someone powerful around.
