  INTRODUCTION​

  
  
  They say, “Home is where the heart…”
  
  Within the neighborhood of Harlem, New York, families have lived there for generations. There has been no place that has stood the test of time quite like Holden Yard. It’s said that members of the community have been there since its creation. Come hell or high water, nothing would make them leave the place they’d built, the community and culture that they crafted. For many, they have never gotten the chance to leave their neighborhood, some are doomed to live and die within the place, a vicious cycle that seems to come for all and in unexpected ways. It’s safe to say that Holden is all that they know.
  
  Changes are being made however, big changes that threaten to uproot everything that they love and hold dear. What was once a family corner store has been turned into a yoga studio. Rent is getting higher and local community members are being left with no way to pay, eventually they have to leave the place they called home. Those that are lucky enough to remain must adapt to the changes, as their neighborhood transforms before their eyes. Heads are bound to clash as they deal with new neighbors, neighbors who have no idea about the history that they’re destroyed, the lives that are tearing apart. There are those who won’t sit quietly while they lose what little they have. No one knows if Holden, West Harlem, will survive this.
  
  Welcome to CHANGES! A roleplay that take place in the fictional neighborhood of Holden, West Harlem. This rp will be casual yet character driven. We’ll be creating local members of the community as well as new members who are adapting to the changes going on in their lives.

  RULES.​

  
  RULE 1. Follow all rpn rules. Must be 18+!
  
  RULE 2. This rp isn’t first come, first serve. Characters will be chosen after the character sheets close. We’ll be using real face claims. (Ex: Actors, Singers, Models, Ect.)
  
  RULE 3. Try to be active, I understand that real life comes first but try to inform me when you need to disappear. I’m expecting people to be able to post at least twice a week. There will be a discord for ooc chat and discussions once characters are chosen.
  
  RULE 4.Literacy is a must. No one-liner replies will be allowed. I'm expecting to see 500+ word replies on average, with good quality! I'm not super strict on this rule.
