Dark Elfling

Your sweetest nightmare
Hello, hello. A welcome to one and all. Welcome to Cecilias Asylum for the Supernaturally Insane! I am Stefan, the head doctor here. Do you have a family member or friend who has displayed freakish powers and a wish to harm people? Well, bring 'em here, we'll take right good care of them, yes we will. Don't fret about our safety, all staff members acquire an unnatural gift as well. But are WE insane as wellllll? Well that's the question, isn't it. Hahahahahaha.

You'd have to post regularly, at least two posts per day. Looking for a few patients and a few doctors. Everyone has powers, and you can choose whether you're actually insane or not. Interested?

"When we have a few patients and doctors here, we can start a new life. Be a family again. Its just a matter of time, darling." Stevens smiled and stroked Cecelia's cheek.

(We're going to wait a day more until we start. I don't want to keep having to introduce patients and doctors and I'd like a few more people)

Doctor Stevens eyed the courtyard with a satisfied smile. So many people joining us. So many new souls looking for guidance, so many new friends for Cecilia, so many, so many, so many, sO mANY. So excited for orientation.

Cecelia hummed to herself as she watched the new creatures enter from her window. There's a new doctor too. She doesn't like the new doctor, he's not like Doc and her. He doesn't do the thing where his head twists randomly to the side and he doesn't giggle. There's a bug on the wall, its black, it has eight legs, its running away, now its dead; its dead. The new doctor isn't dead. Why?

Once the guards were done clearing the trucks of ill scum, that Felix had to call patients, he took out a small bundle of documents from his briefcase. He quickly read through the notes on the extra dangerous patients, assessing whether he would be able to block their powers in case of a trouble. With an unsatisfied expression, he put them back into the briefcase and handled it over to his assistant.

"I expect it to be in my office by the time I am done here" he said as he walked towards the new patients.

The guards divided inmates in three groups. The main criteria wasn't mental stability however. It was the power level. Felix slowly walked past the first, the supposedly weakest group. No irregularities here, thought he to himself.

Second group. Now Felix took his time, stopping occasionally, looking into each patient's eyes. He was searching for abnormalities, rebellious or otherwise dangerous patients if left uncontrolled. After that he was going to come over to the last, and the most dangerous group.

Maddie giggled, an amused expression on her face. She had just arrived at this new 'facility', even though she knew it was just another name for a mental asylum. There were so many people-- So many new toys to play with. She giggled again, quite pleased. She was loving the weather. Dark sky, chilly breezes, it just sent shivers up her spine! It would be perfect if it would just rain. Oh yes, rain! She loved to play in the rain, bubbles and bubbles of rain. There was a fun game in which Maddison loved to play. She would put a certain number of fingers behind her back, and have someone guess how many fingers she was holding up. What if they didn't want to play? Oh, they would want to play, trust me. When you're holding them above the ground, in a bubble of water, slowly draining away their oxygen, they usually want to play. She couldn't wait to make some new friends.

Cordelia walked with the others in file, all in such a strangely straight line. She sighed and hugged herself as she watched one of the people run off only to be shot down. Dead? She wasnt sure but it didnt matter to her. She only cared for herself and what she was going to do here in this place. She wasnt crazy, she swore it. She bit her pale lip and moved her hair form her face. The line stopped and she noticed as a man looked at each of them. She didnt want him that close to her..she wouldnt let him. One of the strangers was talking to her but she ignored him only sure it was comments about her looks, which she did not want to hear. When he made a move to touch her his hand phased through her and he cursed. Called her a freak even. Like he wasnt a freak himself, "Do not touch me..." But of course he didnt listen..his curiosity got the best of him and he kept trying to make contact with her. But every time his hand phased. She sneered and and whipped around at him grabbing his jaw in her hand, her eyes now completely white. The male didnt move and made no sound. His mouth hung open and he was soon whimpering and on his knees scratching at his skin. He drew blood and started crying, but she simply turned back into her place in line and ignored him. "I hate people who dont listen.."

Doc Stevens snarled as he noticed some idiot already almost got himself killed. He jerked his head at the body, silently instructing the guard to dispose of him. If he wasn't dead already, he would be by the time they took care of him. He narrowed his eyes at the blonde girl. Trying to slip into her mind, he jerked back in surprise when his mental hand slipped right by her. 'Oh, well, we can't have that. How will I know how to help if I can't read her.' Didn't he hire a doctor that could suppress abilities? Turning to him, he explained the situation to Felix, inquiring if he could assist.

Cordelia felt a presence trying to get into her personal bubble and she automatically looked to the doctor in question. She knew something of this sort was bound to happen but she despised it nonetheless. If this was anything like the last asylum they would try to find a way to get to her..to read her, emotions or otherwise. She kept a clam air about herself as he talked to what she assumed was yet another doctor or assistant. She wondered if an escape was possible. She could posses someone but if they died she would be back in her own body instantly. She could phase but what if they had means of keeping her in..she didnt need to get stuck between dimensions again.

Rosa slipped off the bus and walked in suit with the crowd. Staring down the institution with a sense of remorse in her gut. Why had she been so stupid? So stupid to fall out of line in the everyday world and let herself become over taken with her powers and greed and land herself somewhere where she hadn't even entered, but already gotten the sense of being an inmate. Each step felt like her legs where heavier, a gravitational pull dragging her closer to the cool ground beneath her boots. Her brown eyes flicked to the doctor snarling, and a smirk cracked across her face. " Mornin' chief. ", she chirped in a well rehearsed false sense of cheerfulness.

Doc Stevens stared at the smiling girl like a shark smelling blood. With a bone chilling smile, he cooed "Hello, Rosa, dear, how lovely to see you here. I hope you find you're accommodations most pleasing." He smiled, as he flipped through her memories like pages in a book. Book, book, book, that's all they really are aren't they. Stories. Some end quicker than others, some binding unravel when put under pressure, it's all just part of the stories.

Maddison stared at the doctor with the utmost curiosity. He seemed like a fun new toy, and she would definitely love to play. Realizing she was staring, she made no effort no break her gaze, walking towards him. Maddie felt like the doc wasn't really 'a doctor'. Secretly, deep down, he was just like her. Off the wall crazy. Just completely insane. A smirk broke through, it was time to let the demons out to play.

Doc narrowed his eyes at Maddison, his eye twitching. He didn't trust her, she looked like trouble. The kind of trouble that gets HIM into trouble, and he can't get into trouble yet. Not yet. Not until the doors close. Then they're all trapped in here, and he can get into trouble. "Trouble, trouble, trouble" he muttered, limping away to resume speaking to Felix, instructing the guards to herd everyone into the main foyer and shut the doors. Time for his speech. Oh, he loves his speeches. Where's Ceclilia, she's supposed to be-oh, yes she's locked in her room. He should bring her out. No, not yet. Not till the doors close. Trouble, trouble, trouble.

The smile quickly faded from her face once one had been returned from Dr. Stevens. How lovely to see her? He did realize they were standing outside an asylum, right? A sense of vulnerability poured over her, sinking even into her bones. Why was he so smug, and why did she feel as though she was standing before him naked? Her arms folded over her chest as she watch another girl walk in line. They all looked like refugees. Refugees of the war zone in their minds and bodies. It was fault of no one that they were brought here, but it felt like they were held prisoner for living so wrongly. A shiver tickled her spine. A guard basically nipped at her heals, muttering words for her to speed up and slip into the cold building. As the doors shut behind the patients, her nose picked up a smell. This place smelled like old people; old people and death.

Bars on the windows and the heaviness of the sound of the doors slamming set a mood of claustrophobia over her. It wasn't long before she made a b-line towards Doc. Stevens and Felix with a slight panic stricken look painted over her pale face. " I need out. I'm not crazy, I don't belong here.". Desperation radiated off her. Lights around her flickered gently as they buzzed above her. "Please..".

Maddison watched as the doc limped away. As soon as the guards started rushing everyone into the main foyer, Mads let out her oh-so famous smirk once more, muttering, "You're no fun... But I'll show you how fun I can be..." Maddie walked into the main foyer like the guards had insisted, and awaited the doc. She couldn't wait till they could play. Get over all the stupid formalities and play. All she wanted to do was play... She knew that the doc would be much more fun than some of the other 'patients' here. They were no fun. No fun. The doctor, the doctor was fun. She saw Rosa, and laughed. Another one of those 'not crazies', huh? The sooner she accepts the crazy, the sooner the fun begins.

Cotton stared out the window absent mindedly . He was one of the few lucky patients that had a window that overlooked the city. He turned around. The only thing in his room was his bed and the rubix cube he loved to play with. The window offered him an escape from the depressing reality. The cold day had its fingerprints all over. The window had a few frozen flakes on it and small patches of frost covered the city like a light blanket. He lied back down on his bed and once again began working on his rubix cube

Cordelia looked at the other strange people. The doctor seeming to sort people out one by one, how she hated being trapped around some of these lunatics. Though in a way she to could probably be labeled crazy from the murders she committed. But she knew she did it and why she did..they had it coming. God how she wanted to go inside. Maybe then she could explore an look around some more with her powers, its not like anyone could hurt her. She looked at one of the girls the doctor was looking at and peeked into her thoughts. She sneered, what a scrambled messed up mind.

Maddison scoffed, turning her head towards Cordelia. "I don't appreciate you looking into my mind like that," She muttered, but loud enough to be heard. Walking towards Cordelia, she stretched her arm, and looked at her bracelet. Damn, still not time to play? She sighed and ruffled her hair. If the bracelet wasn't off, she wouldn't be able to play. Her abilities would be sealed. It was cute though. See, the last asylum had put it on, to prevent Mads from killing people. What they did know however, was that it wasn't enough to completely seal off her power, she was just too powerful. Crazy is a powerful battery. She may not be able to kill, but she'd still be able to play. With a flick of her finger, she lifted Cordelia off the ground, sealing her in a bubble. She couldn't do much to Cordelia though, not with that bracelet on. Definitely not kill her, that's for sure. In fact, with the bracelet on, she could barely life Cordelia off the ground while sealing her in the bubble at the same time.

Cordelia glared as the girl approached. She didnt want to deal with such a person at the moment, "I wont mind seeing the doctor screw with you..not at all.." When she was lifted up she gasped and grew angry at the way she was trapped in the air. Though it was not a problem for her to escape..not with her phasing. Though she wasnt sure she wanted to come down. She was furious and didnt want to get herself into trouble the first day. "Let me down at once..." SHe glared, her mind burrowing deep into her thoughts and memories. If she could find a fear somewhere buried deep down inside her thoughts.

Maddison smirked, "Now now. Maybe if you ask nicely, I'll consider it." Maddie was a bit disappointed, she couldn't physically do much at the moment, besides levitating the girl off the ground. "Tsk tsk tsk, are you in my mind again? Good luck getting through that maze." Setting Cordelia down, she sat in a chair, patiently awaiting the doc. She didn't want another bracelet before she even got this one taken off. Having no powers? Now that's no way to live.

Cotton rolled over in his bed and shut his eyes. He woke up to early and needed some rest. His eyes felt heavy. He starred at the window from his bed. The rubix cube floated in mid air solving itself. He rolled over and thought about a movie he used to watch with his dad. It was about a girl who had the same powers as him. He shook off the memory and slowly dozed off.

Rosa looked at the Doctor and bolted. She was getting nowhere with him. Up the stairs through the corridors, looking for somewhere to hide and get away from the crowd. The hum of voiced downstairs from the newbies. She was one of them, ,but in the hour she'd been here, it had already felt like years. Bursting through a door, she tripped, grabbing the corner of a dresser and busting open the palm of her soft hand. Blood spewed from the gash and onto the floor, smearing in crimson streaks as she scramble to her feet and towards a window, smacking the glass in an all out panic attack. In her buzzing state of mind, her eyes focused on the cold outside, and not on the sleeping boy in the bed she stand next to as she whimper in distress.

Cotton didn't lift his head or even flinch. "You can't escape. This place is bolted. Sure you might be able to smash the glass but they'll find you sooner or later." He stood up. He was wearing nothing but his boxers so it was blistering cold. "Hide under the bed" he smiled as he pointed toward the bed.

Under the bed was not somewhere for someone suffering from claustrophobia to hide. As Rosa look him up in down, breathing rapidly as she try to still her heart, the light above her blew, and the light bulb in a lamp nearby buzzed on as brightly as it could until her powers, spiraling out of control put it out with a crack of the glass bulb. Blood pooled in her hand and drip to her shoes through her fingers. Slowly calming, her back hit the wall behind her. Letting out a final whimper of defeat, she slide down the wall and sit on the floor, looking up at the stranger with a frustrated, exhausted frown.

He laughed a little bit. The same way psychos laugh when bad things happen. "Goddamn your beat up. The door behind him shut as he knelt down. " you okay? Of course your not." He ignored the shards of glass slicing into his feet and knelt over. He offered his hand to help her up
