overview.
Hollywood, California is where stars are made, it’s where actors and musicians go to follow their dreams of becoming famous. Not just actors and musicians though, the industry is filled with directors, producers, casting agents and so many more behind the scenes jobs. It would be crazy to try and list them all! One of the biggest cable networks is The CW, which usually airs teen dramas for young adults. One of their most successful shows for the past two years has been a high school dramedy with magic, because what great show doesn’t have magical powers nowadays?
The Elementals follows a group of six teenagers who’ve been in a car crash and should’ve died, instead though they each wake up with the ability to control an element; fire, water, earth, air, darkness and the light. Throughout the past two seasons, we’ve seen our heroes defeat amazing monsters and power hungry mad men. It’s a fan favorite show, but what happens when two of the main six decide to leave because their contracts are up?
Does the show end simply because they’ve lost some of the fans’ favorite characters? Hell no! The creators of the show quickly realized that instead of replacing those actors, they’d give the new season a new college setting where the remaining six have full control of their powers but must teach two new elementals how to control theirs.
Doesn’t that sound entertaining? It’s won multiple MTV awards and has been nominated for two Emmys. However, the most interesting thing about The Elementals is what goes on behind the scenes. With new actors coming in to meet the old, how will our cast get along? There were rumors that the reason the other two actors left was because of drama on the set. Between actors, directors, producers, interns and hair, makeup and costumes, the set of The Elementals is sure to be an interesting ride for everyone involved.
summary.
So, basically, it's a show that's been running for like 2 seasons and right before they begin to film season 3, they got a notice that it could potentially be their last after a couple of the leads leave since their contracts are up. It's a campy drama like Riverdale and they're sick of it. So instead of continuing the storyline, they do a spinoff type thing with new characters/actors and it's the drama of old mixed with new and how they're gonna come together to make the show successful again. The main plot will be the behind the scenes drama and relationships between everyone!

the newbie.
open / closed
Having worked in the industry for three years as a singer/songwriter, the newbie is a fresh face onset. While she's a bit naive when it comes to filming, she's trying her best to be the best actress she can be. Not only for herself, but also her fans. She was hired due to her large fanbase in the hopes that they'd become part of the audience if she was a part of the show.
the child star.
open / closed
Like most child stars, he grew up into a very different person than he was as a kid. He still has fans from the sitcom he was on, however they're mostly forty year old women. He's gotten into some trouble, especially as The Eternals has become more popular, but at his core he's a good guy. It just might take something, or someone, to pull it out of him.
the gossip.
open / closed
Being part of the original cast, the gossip has cause drama on set before. From starting rumors about her co-stars to hooking up with the occasional director, she's anything but boring. She's also an acquired taste though and only some people actually enjoy her company. If you are those people though, you might be safe from her gossiping ways.
the loner.
open / closed
A new addition to the cast, the loner is just that; a loner. He's not too good at opening up and may even have some sort of anxiety, but when he hits his mark for filming he's incredibly talented. He's not a household name, but he could be if he keeps rising through different filming projects.
the starlet.
open / closed
A returning cast member to The Elementals, the starlet is a fan favorite. Playing the witty fire wielder in the show must have rubbed off on her, well, that or the fame is going to her head. She's not exactly the nicest, especially to the newcomers, and feels like they could've continued the show without new actors and characters.
the heartthrob.
open / closed
The heartthrob is just who he sounds like, a heartthrob. He's won awards for best kiss, best shirtless scene and best onscreen romance. His character onscreen is a loyal and romantic jock type, however he's one hell of an actor because in reality he sleeps around with whoever he wants and doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself.

one. This will be a literate - adv.lit group so think at least 3 paragraphs per response, however you decide to divide it up in your writing.
two.Must be 17+ to join the group, it's just comfier for older members that way, nothing personal.
three. No one likes OOC drama, so if you can't keep it IC only, this is not the group for you. Nothing characters do are personal to the player behind them, at least they shouldn't be.
