Her main weapon, a cutlass, is holstered to the right side of her hip. when acting as a castle guard she sports a suit of armor( see above) and during formal occasions, she wears a long red dress with a dark grey sash around her waist, she wears her necklace in each alternate attire.

Other Distinguishing Traits: She has a scar on her left hand that was received when she accidentally cut herself while practicing with her sword
Romance and Partners: yea she’s interested in guys that have her attention but, she needs to repay an act of kindness a boy gave her as a child. After all, a debt needs to be repaid, right?
Position on the Rebellion: anti-rebellion as Carnation doesn’t agree with their actions, though she’s fine with arie otherwise and is openly nice to them.
Personality: one might think of mercenaries as being calm, calculating, and cold but, that’s only half true for Carnation, as she is quite gregarious in social events often reminiscing about her good times with her instructor and her “grandfather”. Also, she isn’t willing to hide her past preferring to make it public for all to know. In a fight, however, she changes into someone capable of thinking one, or even two, steps ahead of her opponent, though if said foe changes tactic mid-battle she’s kind of panics and loses focus often causing her to lose. She is also overly generous for her own good, often donating most of her money to any organization or people who need it (especially orphanages due to her not wanting little kids to be roaming the streets like she has). Due to this she is often broke and forcibly overworks herself sometimes to make whatever money she needs to keep going. On a side note, Carnation despises whenever her father is brought up in conversation, even more so if she's directly compared to him(especially if that comparison is negative on her end) and will be more than happy to punch/ kick the offender in the gut or face.
Biography: Born to a rather well to do family Carnation was abandoned by her parents shortly after the first year of her life mostly due to her sickliness at the time. After a few years, she was forced out of the orphanage that she was living in due to her disagreeing with how the matron at the time was running the place. She then took to wandering the streets of Nezzie’s capitol Denbigshir and did everything she could in order to survive (from eating thrown out scraps of food to dead rotting rats to begging with little success). After a while, she ended up finding a way to sneak into a training area for Nezzie’s soldiers and decided to watch and was, unsurprisingly, chased off, though she always came back as the couldn’t find how she got in.
Being somewhat inspired by the soldier’s grueling training regiment Carnation promised to survive no matter what it takes (Ironically she was saved from dying of hunger by some mysterious boy with periwinkle hair who gave her some bread sometime after this). After a year she was found by a man by the name of Greyson Wingland and was taken under his wing. Almost a year after this Carnation met the young man that would later become her sword instructor, someone under the name Dusk Rinler.
Carnation then set out for the wide world at the age of 13 leaving with Greyson bidding her farewell. She then used the next six years of her life to then go around the continent and do mercenary work for people that need it.( this earned enough of a reputation to where Falkor and Holwood became interested in her talents). During this time she primarily visited Dorium, Lepumir, and Nezzie when she can. These visits mainly involve her going around doing menial tasks from watching stores to helping the armies with their work. She even took time to visit Dorium's Wright Academy and Nezzie's plethora of libraries to try and figure out just what exactly she received from her instructor, and found that witches would know more about it so she headed straight to Lepumir to find one(or a few) that could help her (though with no knowledge of where they lived her searches kept ending up fruitless). She stayed there for a while often leaving and coming back in a few months doing the few jobs she had left before Cendrillion. When she had nothing left on her plate for the moment she wandered Lepumir for the month of Cendrillion's events seeing the country and, actually thinking of it as her second home. When the rebellion came rolling in she helped the villagers she was staying with to escape but, soon decided that getting all the villagers outta doge was the "smarter choice". She was thankfully aided by a strange man with white hair who disappeared shortly after escorting those people to safety. At present day Carnation received a letter from Falkor, the captain of Euthalia's guard, asking her to act as a temporary member of staff for the festivities( as well as letting her have her own agenda and take any additional jobs). And so she decided to accept and head to Euthalia to find out why the didn't act in response to the tragedy at Lepumir.
Family: Greyson Wingland: A towering old hermit, that Carnation affectionately calls “her grandfather”, who was once renowned for being among the continent’s greatest fishermen, hunters and, blacksmiths (strangely enough). He has a menacing aura about him yet; he means no harm to anyone and is often offering life lessons, even to those who don’t want them. He has since passed away by the time of this year’s Cendrillion ball. (Also he sucks at about every other profession he could take so those things are it)
Dusk Rinler: An enigmatic young man who looked like he could be Carnation’s older brother though they are completely unrelated. He was found by Carnation and Grayson near Denbigshir and that soon after he was training a then five or six-year-old Carnation how to swing a sword even teaching her a bit of his own fighting style while ultimately letting her develop her own. Months after carnation and he first met he vanished leaving behind two strange old medallions with no instructions on how they worked.Personality wise Dusk was somewhat similar to his student, the exceptions being his tendency to go into a deep thought on occasion and, turn violent when angered( Carnation prefers to keep her cool half the time). One of his many similarities to Carnation is that he likes talking about people he considers family, especially his younger sisters.
Reginald Reizwald: This black-haired, green-eyed gentleman is one of the most respected men in Nezzie, by everyone except his child. It was mostly his decision to abandon Carnation (though with the intent of “finding” her later and bringing her back into the Reizwald family just so his public image can skyrocket, this, however, was kept a secret from everyone except Carnation herself). He is a cunning strategist and is able to deduce his opponent's plans and swiftly counter them. His quick thinking and skill as a soldier were easily able to promote him to being captain of Lundgren's guard but his sights are on bigger positions. One of his biggest flaws is he forcibly attempts to hide certain things from his daughter under the premise of " Why tell a girl the truth when she is too young, too inexperienced to understand the nature of these matters."
Unknown mother: Carnation knows neither hide nor hair about what her mother looked and acted like and, she kinda wants to find out.
Dance Level: “The road to dance is a road of roses” is all that she knows about dancing and she manages to step on every single thorn on said roses, ultimately causing harm to everyone (even herself) when she tries to dance.
Last Year's Cendrillion Ball: She’s never been until now. And last year she was unfortunately in Lepumir at that time (and almost died there if she hadn’t acted quick enough).Besides with her being sent a request by the Euthalian military, there’s no way she can just refuse, can she?
Role: Carnation will strive to make sure nothing crazy and violent will happen at the event, heck she might even find some future clients here and go from there (also just doing random tasks for the people of the town.) she will also be hunting for info about why no action has been taken against the rebellion and will often ask for rumors and read any source of information she finds. Also, she might slide this info to the royals just to see how they react.
Extra:
Her favorite foods are anything that uses tomatoes.
Like mentioned above she was given two medallions by her instructor and they each depict some sort of fantastical creature, the one around her neck shows a bird surrounded by flames and, the one she keeps in her jacket pockets shows a feathered serpent coiling around a pyramid-like structure.
Carnation’s fighting style consists of multiple fencing techniques mixed with slashes that suit her main weapon well
