Carnage [To Reign In Hell]

Name: Carnage

Rank: Count

Epithets: The Soul binder

Circle: Sloth, Second Circle, the Circle of Fevered Dreams

Domain: The circus of blood

The circus of blood consists of damaged, degrading fair ground rides, dust ridden and caked in sticky substances, and an enigmatic circus tent striped bright red and burning orange. The tent is the place where 'performances' and gladiator fights are held.

Resonance 3

Essence 15

Personal powers;

Acrobatic: A true performer, Carnage can bound hundreds of meters ahead or above him. In his shows, this purely means an arrogant display of hunting or leaping. However, in battle, it is an advantage in both flight and pursuit. +2 to Dodge and Attack rolls via unexpected angles.

Corruption: In contacting with another living thing, Carnage can (if he is willing) create a parasite like creature which would burrow into their minds and slowly gnaw in to their brains. The process is tiring as the victim is generally (unless sacrificing himself) resistant. A battle may also occur within the mind which can scar either competitor psychologically. However, if Carnage succeeds in overwhelming the mind he claims it as his own and the subject becomes ensnared, a puppet for its new master. Costs 10 Essence to use, requires a Willpower duel, Taints victim.

Escapist: If in a dire circumstance Carnage can perform a 'flit' which is essentially a sped up performance of his acrobatics. It is not too physically exerting (though he finds it painful if he is already seriously injured as the fast motion can increase his blood flow) and can be helpful in a situation where he has fallen to the mercy of his enemy (e.g. by 'flitting' in a blink of an eye away from a deathly grasp)

Appearance;

Carnage has fairly humanoid features: two eyes, a nose and a (if slightly malformed) mouth. His skin is a deep scarlet and his limbs are cocooned by bulging muscles with atramentous globules of blood dribbling out of cracks or gaping holes. He wears the red cape, black top hat, white pants (seeping from the crevices in his sturdy legs) and carries the cracking whip of a lion tamer.His purple lips curl over in snarls to expose jagged teeth painted with the tough, shredded, mangled strips of others flesh. His eyes are seemingly infinite and swirl into a speckled warp that almost sucks the life out of any daring looker, like tiny black holes...

Mount;

Carnage rides into battle on the back of a mutilated lion. It is twice the size of an average desert lion: weighing approximately 500kg. It's mane is mangy and bedraggled, the hairs entwined permanently by gooey waste of rancid beasts and demons. Its eyes have been gouged and its mind is being snacked upon by small-ish, bulging red maggots. The creature is guided by reins that have been stapled to the beasts head.

Bio;

Pieced together from the tattered remains, the pools of blood, the piles of brains and limbs and shards of swords of beings once great. Born from sorrow, he gorges on the sensation of cold, soulless life seeping through his body in the form of blood, pus or pure soul. Raised in hell: raised with toys of war, he tortures and steals to gain whatever he desires. Gluttonous? Most certainly. But his endless feeding off of others overwhelms him to the point of true insanity.

Of accomplishments? Carnage is the mighty beast tamer of the circus. His most famous achievement is having 'subdued' the rioting working herd of Bonnacon (it was overlooked that, three monthes following their taming, most of the creatures collapsed and died with mysterious holes covering their heads). The Bonnacon are bull-like creatures with horses manes which have been enslaved by some more 'occupied' (busy, not lazy...) demons to do manual labour. When they run riot, they storm like juggernauts and cannot be stopped. Atleast, not by the weak.

Favored minions;

Binky the 'tamed' lion

Relationships;

No current withstanding relationships.

Domain production;

The Circus of blood purely provides entertainment and feasts of strength, cunning and resilience for all competitive demons. Some of the more adventurous might dare challenge Count Carnage himself. He hardly ever turns down a challenge, and he plays a hard bargain...

Goals/aspirations: To become the world renowned beast tamer and bring to their knees in resilient obedience all mighty beasts of the land before him. Why would he wish for this? To gain the respect of other demons who have many times shunned him as idle and petty, but also fear: the wish for many to fear his prescence in terror of losing their senses (or turning up dead like a block of moulded cheese on the beach: maggots wriggling out of holes born in their malformed corpses like earthworms to the sloshy soil)

Everything about his appearance and minions is pretty solid.

However, while Acrobatics is perfect, Corruption and Spirit Summoning are not thematically appropriate to the Circle of Lust.

You can keep Corruption if you base it around parasitism - he implants a small creature in their skull to control the body.

Spirit Summoning is trickier. You could instead have him fashion available biomass into pet monsters.

Does that sound alright?

If you really want to keep Corruption and Spirit Summoning as they are, you could roll Sloth instead.

Alright, the Circle of Fevered Dreams may be closer to what you wanted. That way you can keep acrobatics as a sort of otherworldy grace, corruption stays much the same, and spirit summoning needs only a slight adjustment we can discuss after you've made other adjustments.

Also, since being a bloodluster fits a little less with Sloth, you might want to adjust his motivations slightly - but there's no reason he can't be a nightmarish lion tamer-Freddy Krueger kind of guy.

Very soon, possibly even in the next hour or two. I have been busy with exams.

I've edited his stats into your first post, along with costs for his powers.

He's still thematically and aesthetically very like Lust, though. Would you be willing to play up an escapist angle in his methods and motives, emphasize a nightmarish aesthetic a little more?

Alright. Flitting costs 5 Essence. Good choice, by the way.

Have your thread up soon.

One last thing - what does Carnage want? What are his goals?
Phew, well I went for a simple one as I had, truthfully, forgotten about that. It will do for now but of course others should pop up as the game progresses in the form of vengeance, greed, self-obsession ect. ect.
