Fire
Fire ‘breath’ in dragons has convergently evolved three times in dragons and more often than not uses one of the three methods
Friction: The friction method uses any part of the dragon’s anatomy that is able to make a spark, such as rough scales or teeth, to ignite a volatile gas and/or liquid
Reaction: The reaction method uses two different volatile chemicals that are combined to form fire or something resembling a fire
Conduction: The conduction method uses two specialized electrical organs to generate electricity at a strength just enough to ignite a volatile gas and/or liquid
Electric
Electric qualities in dragons has evolved at least thrice in dragons, and uses one of three methods to generate these qualities
Gingivic: The gingivic method uses many electrical organs in the gingiva, or gums, to conduct potentially lethal amounts of electricity into a target
Focused: The focused method uses a small amount of electrical organs to focus electricity, delivering a higher concentrated amount of electricity to a target
General: The general method uses a large amount of electrical organs in the body to electrocute targets in a general area or radius
Caustic
Caustic substances in dragons has developed at least twice in dragons, and caustic dragons will use one of two methods
Ejection: The ejection method uses the intake or generation of caustic chemicals, and mixes them with saliva into a phlegm-like substance, which is then spit at a target
Secretion: The secretion method uses the secretion of caustic chemicals, most oftenly in saliva and mucus, as a both defensive and offensive tool
Toxic
Toxic chemicals in dragons has evolved at least twice, and all noxious dragons use one of these methods
Injection: The injection method uses a syringe-like structure to directly inject a toxic liquid into a target, such as a fang, claw, or even spine
Emission: The emission method uses direct emission of toxic gases from an orifice, such as the mouth, in hopes a target will inhale the substance
