Can immaculates use Armor or not?

I'd gotten the VAGUE IMPRESSION that immaculate monks could NOT use armor.


but peleps deleds stats incluce a reinforced jade breastplate.


If he can use armor then every other monk should have some.


because as it is Tomaru would be quickly skewered if he and deled ever fought, which is such an outrage it makes me weep.

Im not sure if its ever said.

Certain MA Charms are not compatible with armor. The Charm descriptions themselves specify this. Nothing in Immaculate doctrine forbids armor.

Immaculate's can wear armor, its just that some of the Martial Art Charms they know cannot be combined with armor.

Nearly every statted NPC immaculate in the books wears jade armor, as well.


BTW, I think the same is true for the canon animal styles (snake, mantis, tiger). Usually the form and some of the other charms specifically disallow armor, but not the style in general.

Especially when you mix it with terrestrial dodge charms (also fire aspected). Remember also that Dragon Blooded can use as many different reflexive charms as they want in a single turn without needing to use a combo.

As good as I think this would be, I can't see a Solar learning any Imaaculate MA styles.....well, not from DB's anyway.  


Although, saying that, there are grounds for some good plots...hmmm...

Not from a dragon blooded perhaps but there is already an immaculate monk in canon who exalted as solar and there is no reason he should not be able to learn those. And then... there is always the sidereals who would probably rather give the secret of the immaculate martial arts away than that of the violet bier of sorrows.
