your attention and a side of fries? aight cool, now lets sit and eat. my name is a cat and I'm looking for some long term pals and flexible partners to write with. I've had a hot and cold relationship with roleplaying for about eight? years now, surging from periods of sleepless nights spent writing and absolute stagnance. I've maintained a handful of close partners over the years but as our lifestyles changed, so did we, and have drifted apart since. having taken on a new job and moved to a slow, small town (where I seem to be the only female and person below 40 years of age) so I've found myself wanting company and an imaginative world to dip to again.
interests
I used to write a lot of fandom settings but have found that my interest in these roleplays faded quickly alongside my involvement in the fandoms. I'm still more than happy to discuss games, or rant about the finale of game of thrones, don't worry. however I've found my original characters, worlds and plots to be the ones that I've loved indefinitely and they're not constrained to a canon universe or set of events. as it stands, here are the things that I'm interested in writing
while one relationship may be the central focus of the roleplay I don't like to have it solely fuelled by romance. I won't base a whole roleplay around a 'mxf' or a 'smol/tol' pairing. those are just concepts that contribute to the larger character, and if you've sat through this much of my bullshit rambling I'm sure you're competent enough to understand that—
writing style
literate or novella, it varies.
I've found that constantly writing long, detailed posts can exhaust me of my creativity and willingness to write because it becomes a taxing task if I can't hit that word limit. for this reason, I don't like to estimate how much I can and will write. my post length will vary but will always be a minimum of two paragraphs. I think it's more important to be competent and able to deliver a moreish and effective post, regardless of the length.
smalltalk aside, lets address the taboo. I don't like to write smut but I'll dance around it and write the bits that come before and after. I have very few limits and prefer to write stories with underlying themes on the serious or philosophical side. the interests I've given come with a warning of their own; there will be violence, coarse language, illicit substances, mental health issues, etc. it's equally important for my partner to be okay with this as it is for them to have a general understanding of it and be able to depict it properly in a roleplay.
do i ship us?
- you're enthusiastic about plotting, can generate your own ideas and add to/counter mine
- you enjoy playing both genders, all gender pairings and likely more than one character
- your characters are dynamic and you enjoy developing them as the roleplay evolves
- you're flexible with activity and post length

- melodramatic slice-of-life plots**. think sleepy towns, slow burn relationships, damaged teens grappling with their sexualities, feelings and getting into trouble for fun. if we could just build an entire town and cast of problematic characters I would like that a lot. i'd love to join a group for this even but haven't been able to find any on here?? the aesthetic angst addict within me rages, please suggest any groups if you know them.
- I wanna write a bunch of lovable shitbags, so something like a pirate crew or prison?? there would be a fair bit of dark humour in this
- horror plots.** i'd have a ton of creepypastas that we could use as skeleton plots and flesh out with our own beef
- honestly my interests are super broad and i'd write anything so long as i have a partner who i click with
