Camp Opal.
It was supposed to be a fun summer.
It was supposed to be an easy job, not much to do but hang out with your pals and watch after a couple of rug rats.
Fate decided otherwise.
Camp Opal had just finished construction – brand new, high-quality cabins, bathrooms, and a mess hall were built around a nice little spring outside a small New Mexico town. Somehow, several of the excavation crew turned up missing.
The locals warned the camp owner not to set up in that area. They said it was skinwalker territory. They said it’d be suicide. That the children who attended that camp would be in grave danger.
The owner ignored the endless warnings. He figured the locals were just superstitious, that the stories were nothing but some Old Wives’ Tales.
It was our first night there – the counselors and CITs were required to show up a couple days early for some training and bonding time. Unbeknownst to us, there was an escape from the town’s psychiatric hospital. A convicted murderer and occultist was on the loose. We didn’t hear about it in time to prepare ourselves.
We weren’t expecting the bloodbath that followed. We definitely weren’t expecting whatever else was lurking in the hills around the camp. Humans could be stopped – whatever these things were… they couldn’t be.
This is our story. This is how we survived.

Rules:
- Make 2 Characters. One who will be killed during the first act, and one who will survive all or most of the aftermath. There will be a limited number of entries allowed due to the fact that each user must create two characters.
- One of your characters MUST die. Both can die if you wish to kill them both off, in fact it’d be best if we could have as few survivors as possible. We can talk about who of the remaining few will die in the OOC thread if at all necessary.
- No playing God, please.
- At least type one good paragraph per post, please.
