background
Cameron was born April 19 to Amanda and Thomas Philips. As a child, his life was never too difficult. I mean, he was shy and fearful of everything, because most things are really freaking scary, like the dark, and the outside world, and other little children that could possibly hurt him. But his parents never thought much of his behavior. He was young, he would get over it. Growing up, he never really did get over it. Even towards the end of his school years, the thought of going out and exploring the world, leaving behind the safety of his home, scared him. And then he had his first panic attack. It was scary, someone broke into the house and Cam really thought that was the end of his life. Luckily, once the crook realized there was nothing valuable to steal, he left. But still, Cam was pretty shaken up. And when his parents took him to the doctor, he was diagnosed with anxiety. It was hard at first, because he could never really sleep at night due to the fear that someone was going to sneak in again and really hurt him. His dad, being an animal lover himself, thought a great way to distract Cam for a little bit was to adopt a dog. That really helped him feel better. His dog, Gucci (he's a boy dog, but his mom wanted to name him something cute, Cam didn't agree) honestly helped him develop his love for pets, dogs especially. Slowly but surely, the anxiety medicine kicked in, and Cam was able to enjoy his life, with his parents and his dog. And when he finished school, it was time to move out. No, Cam was not at all happy about this, but his parents really weren't able to to support an 18 year old boy who loved to eat their food and use their electricity. They didn't necessarily kick him out, but they gave Cameron 6 months to find a good job and move into his own place. The universe must have really been on his side, because he was able to land at job at the local pet shop, and find an apartment that was affordable to share with 9 other people. Sadly, Cam wasn't able to take Gucci with him, because there's no way he can take care of a dog while also taking care of himself, but he can still see the pup whenever he wants. And yeah, college is hard, and working is even harder, and maybe sometimes he forgets to take his pills, so he drinks until he forgets his own name, but he gets to live with people who have grown to be his closest friends, and he doesn't have to worry about his parents or any responsibilities when he's with his friends, so honestly, he's not complaining. (Well sometimes he is, but that's because some people like to eat his favorite candy bars.)
