Background: Born to a teen mum, Calypso used to live in a poor, crime-ridden neighbourhood, hiding in shame from the upper class society her young mother had grown up in. At the age of 4, she watched her mother die in the crossfire during a store robbery, while she herself remained hidden between shelves. After the government had placed her in state care, she was taken to the testing facility, where she developed an aversion to humans, since the only people she met were scientists or guards who were cold and unemotional.
Many scientists are fascinated by the ability to hide, and have long contemplated the idea of becoming completely untraceable, even beyond simply being unseen. Moreover, some have explored the potential to 'hide' others apart from oneself. As such, Calypso underwent rigorous experiments in order to achieve abilities befitting of her name, thus truly becoming 'she who hides'.
Misc: Calypso prefers to hide/be invisible so as to avoid human interaction, but appears among those she trusts, or whenever she deems necessary. She spends most of her time alone, often resorting to her imagination for entertainment. Thought typically quiet unless required to speak, she does at times wonder aloud, or smiles and laughs to herself. She grew to hate the dull, dirty white of the testing facility, now preferring to wear creamy white summer dresses.
