Call of the Multiverse

Snek

Boop the snoot, you get the shoot
@Fall

So, certain unnamed smart-alecks (*coughFallcough*) have asked me, "VK, if it's a Superpowered RP, why are there no powers?", and to that I say, "Haha, there are!"

Each of the characters, once they are introduced to the man who summoned them, will be allowed to choose one of the man's many, many objects of power. Each gives different abilities, but the catch is...you've got no idea what those powers are!

*DUNDUNDUN*

Yes, Gloriosa fans rejoice, you have absolutely jack sh*t zero idea what powers each object will bestow until you've chosen! So be sure to choose wisely...Muahahahaha!

I have to ask, according to the rules you said no bunnying. That term is somewhat new to me in spite of all my years doing this stuff. What does that mean so I don't accidentally do it?

From what I can discern, it's just another term for godmodding. I hadn't seen the term until I came to this site.

*Scurries off to sign up because this RP sounds amazeballs*

All righty. We're about ready to start, but there's just one tiny problem. Seriously, it isn't super urgent, but I thought it needed addressing. Like ranch, or Italian. Ahahaha......haha...get it, because...addressing, like a dressing...you know, salad...ahh....okay I'm done.

The thing is, we've got eight guys characters and four girls. If someone would be so kind as to change their character from a guy to a girl, that would be nice. We only really need one person to switch, two at the most. If two people switched, it would be even, but it doesn't have to be even.

Again, thanks. I hope you guys are as pumped for this RP as I am. I did not expect this many people to sign up @-@
And I also hope that you guys are excited to learn what powers your characters will get. And all I can say is this: don't automatically assume that an object's appearance is linked to its powers. That being said, that part won't come until a little bit after the beginning.

In terms of posting, I plan to keep it somewhat freeform. I trust you all to know how to post without leaving others in the dust. As a general rule, no more than two posts between people that haven't posted yet.

That means, if your character is in a conversation with someone else, you each could post two responses to the conversation. If no one else had replied between those two responses, then you have to wait until everyone else posts at least once.
That being said, I also recommend you all read the newest RP update.

@The Villain King I ended up changing my character to a female as well due to my need for balance. xD

I've completed mine it's identical just the women in the photo and her name is Shalin.

The RP will begin later this after noon. I highly suggest you watch the roleplay so that you receive notification when it starts. I also recommend that you read over the rules one last time and make sure that you have read my latest RP update. If you've done all of the above things and are ready to begin, please post an OOC comment on this post to verify that you are ready to begin.
The first post has been made. Unleash the Kraken!

I like how, of the eight starting posts thus far, six of the characters were pulled through the portal either unwillingly, or unknowingly.

Sounds like the big guy's going to have to deal with a lot of unhappy campers.

Hate to say it, but I'm getting pummeled by alerts. Seem to have overextended myself a bit, and I (very, very, very) reluctantly have to drop out. Sorry :\

So, they're all speaking the same language, then?

About this DnD-type segment, am I right in assuming we're basically writing out the characters looking around/picking an object?

Or did you mean literally a couple of sentences like "She picked up object A and tried to focus her energy into it but got distracted by the guy in the white suit because woah is that a real sword"

(Argh I feel like an idiot for asking. Can I claim diplomatic immunity? I don't think anything similar to Dungeons and Dragons is available where I live and the internet isn't helping very much in terms of how it's played)

@supercrunched

Don't sweat it. Tabletop games are often played using short statements of actions. They're usually done in the first person, but we'll do them in the third person. You'll make a post saying what your character is trying to inspect or do, and I'll respond back with the results or findings your character makes.

You: [insert character name] inspects Object A.

Me: *describes Object A*

You: [character] picks up the object.

Me: The object hums gently.

That's an example, but the statements will be a little longer on both of our parts.

TEst... Is this working now?

I accepted one last guy, but mainly out of guilt because I forgot to change the prefix to "not accepting". Once he is caught up and everyone has chosen their Conduits, I will post a list revealing what powers everyone has received.

So, in the meantime, bear with me. Sorry for the wait, everyone.

Ruler of this divine rp, I call upon thew with one chocolate muffin covered in peanut butter and butterscotch pudding. Mmmmm, sorry made myself drools a bit. I have a question. If you receive this transmission please tag me in your response, and bring the soda!!!!

Oh lordy...

I believe the ones that have not yet been chosen are:

Yo-Yo

Gloves

Pendant

Anklet

Armlet

Dog Tags

Circlet

Ring

A few of these were stashed in Yewchung's character's backpack, for whatever reason. Valeray won't let him keep all of those artifacts. I believe the ring, the yo-yo, and some other one are in there.
I won't recommend any, simply because the fun part is seeing what characters get which powers.
You've gotta choose for yourself.
So, it looks like October Falls is the only one that has not yet chosen her artifact. Once again, I am sorry this is taking longer than expected. Once October Falls has ceased her indecision, then I will copy and paste from my pre-planned power list to notify everyone of their abilities.
Just...one...more...post. We're so close to being done! Just gotta wait for October to choose and we can finally move on! Woo!

Celebrate with me, everyone!

*busts out disco ball and DJ table, starts mixing up some phat beats*

@The Villain King

Help!! Does my character have the power to rotate objects other than herself because if not I need to change my post really fast :x

I know it's not in the artifact description, but I made an assumption and I didn't realize it until now
