Realistic or Modern C.A.N.I.S. Characters

Character Rules:
Anime wolves are not allowed. Only pictures of real wolves.
No experiments from 1-10 or 12-30 as they all died (aka eliminated) after 011 (Grail's) escape several years ago.
No characters below 9 or above 26.
No characters that are pregnant.
You cannot be your own mate/crush.
Keep genders even.
Children 9-11 are rare. Ask a staff member before creating one.
No pups to start with
Keep in mind, everyone gets a number when they join and are injected with C.A.N.I.S. Not every patient tested will survive the injection or the subsequent test so there will be gaps in numbers as these experiments are written off as failures, their numbers never used again.
Leadership roles must be active twice a week, normal members once a week
You may put "Open" or leave blank concerning pups, mate and crush
No mutated wolves (that means no powers, no extra limbs, horns, odd-colored fur, odd-colored eyes other than those listed), or wings

Backstory: Alana came from nothing and worked her way up, eventually being able to support herself and live on her own. Her parents died in a fire when she was younger, and she’s never had a significant other, so when she was approached to come to the facility, she readily quit her job and agreed

Backstory (optional but brief): Grail was born to Luna (Experient #010) and Salvatore (Experiment #009), two of the original experiments. The only child born a full lupine and the only child ever born into the facility, to staff knowledge, he was seen as a god send by the staff and went through quite the extensive training and torture. As more experiments came into the building, the staff tried to hide the child but it was hard with his playful escapedes. As he grew older, he began to realize that he was not there by choice and began to sense the sorrow of the place and those within it. His father was brutalized by a few guards who were hurting his mother and paid with his life. After his mother was killed by one of the newer and more violent patients of the facility, Grail disappeared at eighteen and hasn’t been seen since, experiments #012 to #030 being killed after his disappearance.

Serenity used to be a cheerful person who enjoyed drawing, dancing and writing. When her mother married her stepfather, she retreated into the library at school and outside home to stay away from the man who began looking at her strangely when she turned thirteen. She ended up running away when a year later, scared of what her stepfather might do to her and when she was approached by men in white, she willingly went with them for the promise of food. Serenity was hurt by some of the other male patients and the guards at the facility, becoming mute while at the facility. It is unknown what happened to make her mute or if she will recover, but she suffers from anxiety and jumps at her own shadow, often cowering when anyone looks at or speaks to her.
Backstory (optional but brief): Serenity was raised like any other normal child until she turned seven and her father died in an accident at the steel mill where he worked. Raised by her mother alone for a year, she was eight when her mother had begun dating a man who her mother married three years later. At first everything was charming and fine but Serenity was quick to notice how her stepfather would stare at her and hit her and her younger brother. Her mother soon had three more children with her stepfather who he treated well. Serenity ended up running away at fourteen and was picked up by the facility but she soon found out the lies she had been told were just that.

Personality: Witty, smart mouthed, and one to use his words to get out of situations before his fists. He is the kind of guy that drips charisma to the point it's disgusting. When crossed? He's a planner, a schemer, a methodical nightmare.
Backstory: Was your typical street urchin turned dealer. Wanted money, wanted power, wanted it fast. Built himself quite a nice little underground shady scene too, even went as far as keeping him appearance a secret and cutting close ties to work unattached. When he disappeared, no one could have ever guessed at his last known location. He made himself too much a ghost.

Personality (Optional): Prior to the punishment Dani received she was spunky, outspoken, and enjoyed pushing boundaries to see what she could get away with. The punishment changed her. She is now more withdrawn and quiet. More focused on following orders and not getting in trouble. She still wants to get out, but is not sure how to even start that process. She is also now afraid of water.
Backstory (optional but brief): Since a young age Dani had been living on the streets with her mom in Washington. Together they lived in several shelters and protected each other. Dani's mother sold her to the Government with hopes that her daughters future would be brighter, as well as to take care of herself financially.

Personality (Optional): Poppy is someone who is a mother figure. She is stern when needed, but also knows how to have fun. When others are in trouble and there is even the slightest possibly that the girl can intervene and avoid others getting hurt she is going to do so--with no hesitation. By no means is Poppy a fighter, but she is a protector and defender; meaning that if someone else is at risk she will fight tooth and nail, but she refuses to fight just for the sake of violence. Even after being at the institute she genuinely cares about others. She struggles with protecting herself and communicating.
Backstory (optional but brief): Growing up the oldest of three siblings and in an impoverish family Poppy had to learn to balance taking of her younger siblings as well as how to have fun. While both parents worked Poppy stayed home and played with her siblings and provided support with homework. Many times her younger siblings would bring home friends and they would stay. When her mother got a promotion and started to stay home Poppy got a little wild for about a year and made a mistake. She ended up with a public intoxication charge as well as paraphernalia (which was not hers) and then found herself in the C.A.N.I.S program. She does not regret the decisions she has made and promises to never go back to the lifestyle. It was not who she was.

Personality (Optional): Yong is, what a lot of people might call, extra. He loves having fun and teasing others when he feels like if he knows tgem well. He flirts with anyone he's comfortable with no matter the gender and if they're comfortable with it. Friendly and brotherly, he has a strong sense of smell and good ears and enjoys the challenge hunting gives him.
Backstory (optional but brief): Yong is the oldest in his family, with a little brother and sister. After their parents deaths, Yong and his siblings lived with their only other relative, and since they couldn't feed everyone, almost sold one of the children to the government when Yong intervened and decided they'd go instead. It was a bit hard to convince his relative, but ultimately he ended up in the facility.

James is a sensitive and loving person beneath a strong, hard exterior built up from years of having to protect himself. He’s not afraid of a fight and will stand up for himself when he has to. The most important things to him are family, love, trust, honesty- without those things he seriously questions what separates mankind from beasts. James is a caring person and will go above and beyond for those who have treated him well. He’s a bit of an introvert and mostly keeps to himself when amongst people he’s not comfortable with. Used to living humbly for much of his life, James has no materialistic instincts and as a result is very generous with what possessions he does have. The downside is that his selflessness often leads him to neglect himself. His health and even personal life sometimes suffers. He has a difficult time saying no, even when he really knows he should if it concerns someone he cares about.
He's great at starting relationships and despite the importance he places on them finds it hard to keep them in a good spot. He's not very good at communicating intimate, heartfelt emotions and prefers to show his meaning through actions. He is very curt and to the point though he loves a good joke and often looks for the humor in situations.
Though he is not quick to judge, James has a good sense for analyzing a person's character. He is able to put himself into the shoes of others to help him understand how they think and that helps him filter through the people he comes in contact with. If he dislikes you, it's probably for good. He’s always been one to trust his instincts and is impulsive as a result. He tends to make awful decisions when he’s emotional. There's a certain aura about him that makes him feel trustworthy and easy to talk to for people - or so he's been told.

Backstory (optional but brief): James grew up with the other orphans who were left out in the street to die. They formed a gang, protected and fed each other by hustling and working hard. James's hustle was fighting. He would fight in underground boxing rings, winning money matches. He didn't always win but it was more than enough to feed the group he called family.
One day a fight was broken up by the authorities. James was noted for his potential for a special project and ended up in CANIS.​
