B r o o k l a n d s Mental Asylum
Brooklands is the only adolescent mental asylum in the world and inside are the most deranged teenagers of the world. Based in the UK, many different countries send those whom they are unable to treat to Brooklands for them to be locked up and never to be freed, some even are medicated into a docile state that leaves them unable to function normally. This asylum contains those who are dangerous towards others, but also those who are a danger towards themselves.
Background/The Mad Rabbit Murderer
Brooklands is home to the teen who is considered the most dangerous in the world due to his killing spree of 400 victims within 18 months. The Mad Rabbit Murderer is infamous due to his modus operandi in which he would partially sever his victims neck, after a torturous death via strangulation and bloodletting, to create a stain of blood dribbling down the victims neck and chest, the sewing of a rabbit's ears to the victims shaved scalp and the removal of genitalia. After intense interrogation, Samuel Johnson (the real name of this mad murderer) released, with a glint in his eyes, why he did each part of his modus operandi. He admitted to chaining his victims in an abandoned building a few blocks from his house for twenty four hours where he would return every two (sneaking out of his parent's house during the night) hours to let roughly 500 ml of blood and give the victim food and water (to make sure they didn't die from exhaustion). He would then take their life exactly 24 hours after capture via strangulation with a ragged bandana (which is how they eventually caught him, as he accidently dropped it where he left the body). He slit their throat quickly to release a stain of blood because he liked to think of this as the victims soul being released - he isn't completely evil after all - and would then shave their heads. He sew the ears on because he saw rabbits as being in tune with nature, and so making them slightly more rabbit might result in them being more happy in the afterlife. Finally, he removed their gentiles from their body as he viewed sexuality in any form as a sin and bodies should not be fornicated.
It was made clear at his trial that he was far too dangerous to be placed with normal prison population, even maximum security, so mental asylum was the only option. There was argument however over whether Samuel actually needed the medical treatment or if he was just a criminal who needed breaking. It was after lengthy tests that Brooklands, which had just opened, would be the only place suitable for him and he was shipped their immediately.
Now he is 16, there is a lot of discussion around whether he should be moved from Brooklands (which was an adolescent specialist mental asylum and the only in the world) where he was stable to an adult asylum but that was quickly ruled out by the judges who saw that Brooklands would most probably become a life-long mental asylum with their patients entering the system at a very young age (as young as 10) and almost defiantly never leaving. Some, however, may be moved to lower security units if their behaviour was shown as tame for an extremely long period of time.
