Brolitas and you

So have you ever heard of brolitas?

If not, brolitas are guys who dress up in lolita fashion. While I don't do it myself, I am sort of interested and some acquaintances of mine do it.

Anyone else familiar with it or have something to say about it?

By the way here are pics of some. One visibly male:

And one not so visibly male

I know plenty of girls who are into Lolita fashion so I heard of Brolitas, but until now I always thought guys only did it as a joke to make fun of themselves, and most I've seen so far just looked stupid. These two are absolutely adorable though. I love how the guy on the first picture has a beard. xD

That being said, I don't think I will ever wear something like that unless I lose a bet or something. I think I'd just look like a pervert because I'm not kawaii enough.

Brolitas are pretty awesome, I don't see them around much, though. I think they're very brave, you know? Guys who crossdress get a lot of shit.

Hey, that's really cool! I'd never heard of Brolitas before! I think it's rad-- I'm all for destroying gender norms and looking cute!

Actually crossdressing among men (crossdressers are normally straight males) is sometimes seen as kind of a reinforcement of male identity due to a sort objectification of females through clothing. Other cases can be to be supportive of a partner or spouse (common among brolitas that have a girlfriend) and sometimes it is just something people really feel comfortable with. I personally would try it out, however I am a bit more worried that I am too hairy and that my parents would find out (I know an adult bio male who identifies as agender whose parents only know that he/they is/are panromantic, but would rather keep the agender and crossdressing part a secret). With agender I mean I don't identify myself by gender even though I am visibly a male (beard, hairy arms and legs, a more male face).
