I would say no. Â The merit specifically mentions sorcery (if I remember correctly) and, I personally believe, the merit reflects a supernatural attunement into the sorcerous protocols of creation rather than just a skill-based aptitude with sorcerous powers. Â While necromancy is similar in practice to sorcery the powers it taps into are vastly different, requiring a different sort of attunement to the underworld.
That's not to say that a relevant necromancy merit could exist, but I would probably limit that to abyssals or require a character to have longstanding and intimate exposure to the underworld.
