Now, picture that very same officer equipped head to toe in ballistic fibre body armour that puts solid concrete walls to shame, equipped with munitions that would turn the CEO of a leading weapons manufacturer into an anti-arms activist, and provided training that flips the bird right in the faces of military professionals. Now, picture a whole team of these heavily armoured, ultra-elites equipped with literal overkill. That's the Immediate Crisis Reaction Unit.
You may be wondering what the ICRU team really is with a bit more detail than what I' letting on. Well, that's above your pay grade. But we might as well share highly-classfied federal secrets with random strangers who ask politely. They're the people we call when we're in a bit of a pickle. You see, they're the multi-tasking terrorist-killing bomb-defusing hostage-rescuing team that only deals with the most sensitive of operations. A lot of time, money, and effort was needed to make them that way, y'know? But I think it was really worth it. Because in 5 seconds, you'll all be dead soon."

Strike Team Commander "Alpha" - The one who's calling the shots here. The boss. Your boss, to be more specific. They draft the plans, shout the orders, and write up the paper work. You aught to treat their commands like the Ten Commandants from God.
Forced Entry Specialist "Beta" - Just the man for the job when you need a door opened and just don't have the keys for the lock. They specialise in all forms of door knocking. The only thing is, if you heard this guy knocking on your door, it's about time to duck for cover.
Point Man "Gamma" - Now this one has a pair of stones on him. The first to enter, and the first to get shot at. But they have nothing to worry about. The telescopic ballistic shield is pretty useful. Useful in inflicting some serious blunt force trauma.
Bomb Defusal and Removal Technician "Delta" - Is it the red, or the green wire? The Bomb Technician will know the answer to this one. The only question left is does he value living as much as you do? You may soon find out, either with a sudden flash and complete darkness or the bomb conveniently having only one second left before it would have detonated.
Combined Ordnance Specialist "Epsilon" - Need a bit of tear gas to choke out those pesky terrorists? How about a 40mm grenade instead, and completely disregard standard protocol? Those darn hostages won't be killing themselves. How about a possible sociopath with a grenade launcher to get the job done?
Robotics Operations Officer "Digamma" - Want to get rid of that suicide bomber threatening to level the building? How about a nerd sending in a suicide bomber robot to counter the suicide bomber? A rather genius idea, don't you agree?
