Other Brainstorm and Looking for Co-GM

PERSONAL INFO

hi everyone, I’m RX or Romi, (I don’t really care what I get called) I’m once again falling in love with roleplaying and I’ve decided to get into it again. I haven’t roleplayed in a while so I may be a little rusty, but I’m working on keeping a stable routine so I can keep replies coming out and read. it’s very important that I have a communication with you, I’m generally quite open time-wise and I will do my best to keep you informed. I’m very much into talking about mbti, anime, games (you can introduce me to some I don’t really play too much), stories.

• a little about me, I’ll be straight up and say I‘m pretty chatty so I will start brainstorming until I’m regretting it in the morning from lack of sleep, I love OOC talk and being friends in general (hit me up with music, art, books, stories, your own stories, memes) but I am terrible with abbreviations. I also tend to ask A LOT of questions concerning the RP so that both of our needs and wishes are met.

HOPING FOR

• a lot of group RPs I’ve been in have had awesome stories but usually they die out (probably lack of communication or activity, but life happens) but I’m hoping for a nice rich plot line with a lot of twists and turns. I’m looking for a long-term co-host for an RP which we can both brainstorm for, and if one of us goes inactive the other can keep pace going still and vise-versa.
• It’d be nice if we both bond over the same stuff and become friends. I’m not going to pressure for too much but if you tend to lose interest somehow rather than ghosting me I would prefer a simple few words (no need for a reason) so that we part ways amicably.
• I would appreciate a mature co-GM to collaborate with but I don’t care what age range you are. (I’m a minor) if you’re able to match my maturity (which isn’t a lot when I’m silly) then I’m sure we will bond well! (I’m hoping!)

IDEAS

• I’ll just have a word box:
  • horror, mafia, dystopian, angst, crime, justice, injustice, manipulation, mystery, action/adventure, super-natural, fantasy, moral grey characters, life/death situations, historical fiction, end-of-the-world, hero’s journey, close-knit group, drama, enemies, rivals, academic rivals/enemies, (I have more, I just can’t think of it)
• so far there is no rough outline of a group RP, I want us both to really enjoy the story rather than just asking for help for something I enjoy, so we’re both scratching each others back.

as I mentioned earlier, communication is very important. I don’t want to rush in the story and I would genuinely like people who would pitch in, so if any of the tropes or possible stories that pique your interest PM me (please), I would like to know that you have interest and it’s something we can both work it out, and I know life fills up a lot of our time. I understand if we cannot have a long conversation, but I think it’s essential that we’re honest of where we want our goals for our characters, or flesh out the story we so we can move from point a to point b for character development and story wise.

I would like for this future RP we will be planning for to be organized, (post-order or time date for IC to start so it keeps things moving) and I will definitely be an annoying person to make sure this is on track.

Well first off, I've had people who id have considered brothers(knew sone for 10 years), eventually never talk to me again randomly haha. So don't take it personally when it happens on rpn.

But second with this kind of thread, you'd best be served by focusing more on pitching a really great project rather than focusing on solely focusing on who the cogm should be like.

So I'd take a few days to develop something more substantial. Then look for a good communicator to be your co gm.

I was honestly unsure where I should put this! (I did ask beforehand in another thread in this page about where I should post it), and now that you do point it out it does seem kind of like an interest check but I was unsure where to put it.

Mmm, a good rule of thumb is that if you're looking to recruit, it should probably be an interest check! If you're simply looking for advice, or discussion about aspects of the hobby as a whole, then it goes in RP Discussion & Advice

So for example, if you're saying "I'm looking for players for x fandom!" Then that's probably an interest check, but if you're asking "how do I best advertise this x fandom RP?" then that's for here!

It's not a bad idea to post here. Op seems to be looking for a co gm, someone to run the shindig together with. Not just players.
